Vito's Chop House - Orlando, FL Ratings and Reviews
This is our "Go To" place in Orlando. Many other places are over-the-top fancy or fake. Vito's is the real-deal. A steak house on par with any in the world, and better than most. Prices are a little high, but you always get what you pay for here. You MUST save room for dessert. This steak house features a really great dessert selection.
We came here on Valentine's night. We've heard so many amazing things about this place. I am a foodie from New York so I know how to pick them. We were seated and sat down wonderfully. It's $9:15.Our waitress took 15 min to greet us. My date ordered a $9 glass wine. Waitress made a unprofessional remark about how my date should've ordered a higher quality wine ($) because it was a higher end restaurant and requested a glass that was triple the amount. I told our waitress that I appreciated her request but let's just go with what she ordered. I ordered a water. Our waitress huffed and puffed walking away mumbling words we couldn't understand. We waited maybe 15 min for it to be served. As she came back I politely asked her for bread. She said they were out but if she had any she would bring it out. Some time went by as me and my date were talking about how we wanted to try the bread. Another waiter over heard us as he we so nice to ask if he wanted him to bring over bread, so I said if you still have some left that would be wonderful. He replied of course we have bread. We proceeded just to wait for the bread she came out with 16 min later. She came out and apologized for not knowing if they had bread. I smiled and said it's ok, you are probably overwhelmed a busy. So it's 46 min later and we have bread. She took outer order as I asked "which pasta would you recommend, what is popular?" She looked at me with big eyes as she responded " this is a chop house, my tables don't order pasta And pushed to order me steak. I said I'll just get the rigatoni but with pink sauce. My date ordered the chicken parm. She looked at me and said "you got a cheap date tonight". Me and my date looked at each other kind of embarrassed not understanding why we couldn't order pasta. Not to mention we ordered appetizers and both ceasar salads. Our waitress walked passed our table many times without hesitation to ask if we wanted more bread or refills. Food comes out. My pasta was wrong.
I have eaten at Vito’s at least 6 times and would have given it glowing reviews except the last two visits have lacked in service. At the price point it is, the wait staff should be both professional and attentive. We needed to ask for bread, coffee arrived without saucers or spoons, and there was a long wait time for the dessert tray. Disappointing
Our friends joined us in celebration of my husbands birthday. Upon arrival we were escorted to our table decorated with orchids strewn around and a beautiful birthday card setting the mood for one of the most fantastic evenings. Our server Rebecca was fantastic and treated us to an explanation of the various selection of hand cut chops. I could go on and on but, in essence, probably the best steak and dinner experience ever—and we have traveled and dined extensively. Fabulous. A vacation must.
This was my second visit to Vito's Chophouse, and I was as duly impressed this visit as I was on the first which was over a year ago. The service was exceptional, as was the quality of the food. My favorite entrees have been the steaks, which are always savory, moist and cooked to perfection. The lobster bisque is one of the best I have ever tasted, with huge chunks of lobster. And the lemoncello cake is amazing. Whenever I am in Orlando, I intend to visit Vito's for a superior meal. Great work!
So glad we decided to go back to Vito's - my husband suffered a stroke three years ago, and sadly we had not been back since he couldn't find the confidence to eat there as he is partially paralyzed!
However, we made the right decision and from the minute we arrived with a great young man on valet parking to the beautiful waitress who was just arriving for work and offered to walk with my husband up to the door, we knew it was going to be a great evening. I had requested a booth as close to the entrance as possible and it certainly was very close.
Our server, Michael, could not have been better - he was very well informed, chatty and professional.
Our food was incredible - we opted for fish dishes, which is easier for my husband to eat but we will be back because the steaks on the tables around us looked phenomenal - thank you to everyone at Vito's - we can't wait to come back.
Once again and again and again Vito's serves the most delicious meal. Vito's has become my go-to restaurant for all occasions in the last 2 years. The friendly and efficient service from our server, Wanda, was tops. The concern to be sure all is OK from the manager, EB, is continuous and reassuring. Thanks, EB, for the delicious brownies after every meal. I would highly recommend Vito's for any occasion especially if you love great cuisine.
Service, food and ambience were excellent. Our server was a little new but did an excellent job of explaining everything, and her attention was top notch. The food and drinks were great - had the shrimp trio, filet, and ribeye - all of which were very tasty and well prepared.
Been here many times. Service and food consistently excellent. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Was an off night for the lobster as it was tough and tasted like rubber. Manager promptly offered to replace it or remove it from the bill. We had it removed and she provided free dessert. Very professional .... no questions asked. Just an off night as I have had lobster here many times and it usually fantastic. My two cents - this is the most classy restaurant in Orlando. I highly recommend this place!
We dine here whenever in Orlando. The food and service are consistently excellent. Quite frankly, the reason we stop in Orlando on the way to Marco Island is to have dinner at Vito's. Everything was excellent - Caesar salad, house salad, mushroom appetizer, veal chop and ahi tuna. Our waiter, Adam, was on top of everything without being intrusive. Can't wait to return.
