It is irreplaceable!!!
Miss the piano music. Maybe sometime later
it will re-appear.
Lovely food and people
I enjoyed meeting the owner and appreciated his hospitality and great food! Thank you for being active and making sure everyone was good and taken care of!
The service and food was excellent. Very friendly staff and management
The place has good food, ambience just ok (maybe hang some art?), but the real problem is parking. The parking lot is filled with a big tent, so the only parking is on the street and most of that requires either a permit or is restricted. There is also some metered parking, but after putting in quarters, we found out the meter was designated for 10 min pick up only, with no signs to warn you. There are a lot of great Italian restaurants around, so why go through the hassle? Too bad, this place could be really good if they tried
Service was great - the food delicious...the outdoor seating was perfect esp with heaters. In the valley this is one if the best values and go tis for a perfect evening of dining.
Perhaps it was the effects of the latest pandemic surge keeping people from going out to restaurants, or perhaps many haven't returned back from their holiday trips, but the restaurant was far from overcrowded and quite relaxing. I've been to Vitello's a number of times over the years. The food and service were excellent, and the ambience conducive to my business lunch. There's plentiful street parking - metered and 2 hours in the surrounding neighborhood. Just pay attention to the signs. Enjoy!
NYE. We felt very safe on the outdoor patio
Great menu, service and wonderful atmosphere. Delicious food.
My boyfriend and I went to Vitello’s for an early dinner before heading to the LA Zoo Christmas lights and it was exactly what we wanted for our little date night! Everyone we interacted with at the restaurant was nice but our server was especially helpful with my high maintenance gluten allergy. They have a substantial selection of drinks - I got a mango daiquiri that I loved so much I ordered another one & my boyfriend got an old fashioned that he said was delicious. We shared a caprese salad to start and it had avocado in it which was such a perfect addition to a caprese - I loved the Cali twist! For my main dish I got the Cacio é Pepe substitute gluten free pasta (they had GF spaghetti or penne) and wow was it delectable. It had the perfect amount of pepper and it was just rich enough that it wasn’t heavy. I finished the whole bowl! My boyfriend got the ravioli which he loved. I couldn’t try any of his food or drink because it all has gluten in it and I’m allergic, but overall he had great things to say. The outdoor seating is right against the glass wall of the restaurant & you’re technically on the sidewalk but there’s a sense of privacy with the way they set up the tables. We will for sure be back!
Food was amazing as always. Tried the chicken Parmesan ravioli and it was wonderful. Would definitely order that again. We also got the chicken piccata and it was One of the best I’ve ever had. Service and management are always very attentive and accommodating. Never had a bad meal at Vitello’s.
Lasagne was cold
Great!! Best food and awesome service.
Great service from Charlie!!!
I've been around for a long time. After 64 years, most of which have been spent dining out, I will say that Vitello's has among the best meatballs outside of Houston Texas, where mama Mandola may be long gone, but her legacy, with her fabulous Mandola's meatballs, lives on. Vitelli's is up there.
Go try those wonderful Vitelli's meatballs , and you can thank me later, you'll be saying, oh Dukie!
I highly recommend this top notch restaurant and entertainment spot. With great food, service, value, food choices, you won't be disappointed. And because it offers music and comedic entertainment, you never know who you are going to see in this celebrity hangout, regardless of the day or time.
Vitellos has become our new favorite Italian restaurant. You feel a great vibe as soon as you walk in. The thin crust pizza is fabulous along with a real Ceasars salad...with anchovies!!! The staff rounds out a really great meal with their friendliness and attention.
I miss the old school decor like it used to have, the new renovation is now the common standard of most restaurants. Fortunately the food and service is still outstanding.
Food was too salty.
We did not feel good the next morning after our dinner.
The ambiance and service was great. Maybe a new chef will make it better.
Took my youngest for their 19th birthday and everyone made us feel very welcome.
Just lovely and delicious. From beginning to end.
Enjoyed a Sunday date lunch, and the entire experience was Bellissimo!! 👍✅😎
This was our first time, so the 5 of us ordered a total of 8 items from the menu and they were all excellent. We especially recommend all their pastas and pizzas especially their Margherita. We also ordered a filet mignon but that was probably the least tasty. Still good but stick to Italian.
Absolutely delicious and good value for the food we had.
A special treat for my 13 year old daughter after her high school test.
Food was delicious and the entire staff was very attentive.
I had such a lovely experience here. Everyone was so kind and friendly, including the hostess, waiter, and the owner who checked on all the tables. The food was amazing. I will definitely go back.
I love and have loved Vitellos for a very long time. But I wish someone would help them elevate their patio experience a notch or two. All the heaters (but two) were broken and shoved in a corner (that looked like a patio heater graveyard). The tables are bare wood and often shoved together and mismatched when parties are more than four people. No decor whatsoever. Bad lighting. How about an LED candle on each table, or SOMETHING? It's pretty tacky, considering the food is great and our server (Jordan) was (and always is) awesome.
Service was very friendly and food was pretty good. Inquired about Robert Blake murder and got a good historical answer.
The food was delicious. I had the salmon. My date had the filet mignon. Kudos to the chef.
Definite area of opportunity was the decor of the restaurant. No character or ambiance but I also couldn’t see the whole place from my table. We had reservations for dinner and a reso for cocktails at the Rendition Room. The hostesses were my greatest disappointment. We told them that it was our first time. We waited to see if they could allow us to have dinner in the rendition room, the answer ended up no. We further waited for our dinner table, then they stuck us in a corner against a brick wall by the kitchen. We tried to stay positive. After dinner we asked the waitress to inform the hostess that we’re ready for our next reso. Again we waited…20 mins go by. The waitress never came by once, no hostess either. We had to get up, put on our coats, walk out to the front to ask the hostess what was going on. She said that she would’ve seated us at our reservation time which was 8p. Keep in mind it’s 756p at this point and she asked us to wait again. There was no communication with the customer, only waiting and waiting and waiting. We were there to have a nice date but we did not feel wanted. I won’t be back. Very disappointed.
Note: The Rendition Room saved our night. Scott and Ren were great. No one can be mad with Scott around. :)
Robert was an excellent waiter...very professional. Food was great. We started with the appetizer of shrimp and calamari and then had the tilapia on a bed of pasta and the bass with a rice. Both excellent. Nice bottle of chianti, too.
The food and ambiance was great, but the server was not very good. She barely paid any attention to us. She forgot to place our appetizer order, she did not bring any bread out. When our meal was served we asked again for bread and it was not brought out until the meal was almost finished (and after we asked two other servers). Our server never came by to check up on us till we were almost done eating. (she passed by us several times to go to and from the kitchen, but never looked at us and never spoke to us.) I also wanted to order dessert, but again, the server never came by to check on us and ask if we wanted to see a desert menu. I have dined at Vitello's many times and have always had a good experience until now. Such a shame.
French toast was burned on one side and the bacon was not well done as ordered. Overall disappointing but the wait staff was lovely.
Neither of us had ever been there before despite many years in the Valley. We went for a quiet birthday celebration on a Tuesday night and had a wonderful time. I am sure it is more crowded on a Friday or Saturday, but was perfect for an intimate dinner with a friend of many years. We both had an excellent time.
Everyone went above and beyond to please us from choosing the best table, the heat lamps, food, etc etc. perfect evening.
Fabulous! Been 3 times in a month!
Love the food and plant based options here. The veg meatballs are outstanding but could also use a slice of bread with it.
Great service and great food at lunch.
Delicious food. Great service.
