Vita - Permanently Closed Ratings and Reviews
Vita turned out to be a great choice for our anniversary celebration. The service was attentive and polite, and they didn't mind that we wanted to take our time. The food was outstanding, and the outdoor dining experience and the downtown view were just what we'd hoped for! We'll be back!
Thought that the food was extremely overpriced for what we got. I had ordered the Ahi tuna and my girlfriend got the Sea Bass, both of which we smothered with relish and sauce. The meal was certainly worth the $100 that I paid. I would not recomend the place to friends or family.
The first time we dined here was during 5280 week. It was wonderful then. We just went back for Mother's Day brunch. There were several problems. Service was decidedly lacking. We had to wait for everything & ask for refills often(water, coffee). We waited for almost 10 minutes from the time we got our drinks until the server finally came back for our order. (this is really hard when you have a kid at the table - Hello??Mother's Day?) They ran out of coffee cups & we had to wait quite a bit to get coffee. The food was pretty average & took a very long time to be served. Surprising compared to our previous dinner experience here. It's too bad. We'll be thinking about trying somewhere else before coming back here.
Food was great, service was wonderful, wine and cocktail offerings were excellent. We had a great evening, the background music was quite enjoyable and not overpowering. The food choices at Vita are always interesting and tasty! We look forward to a return visit very soon!
Really enjoyed our first visit here! It was a Sunday night and not terribly crowded, so the very slow service was a little hard to understand (the waiter was great - seemed to be the kitchen that was slow). Still, food was delicious and the menu was full of interesting choices. Although it's a destination for us, it has a great neighborhood vibe. Low key, fun place with terrific food!
The service was great, the wine was half off/half off bottles on Tuesdays, which was excellent/and our server picked a great oaky red for us, the food was not the best we ever had had but good although there was too much salad dressing on the wedge salad and I thought veggies could have accompanied my sea bass dish...
The overall atmosphere was beautiful. It was a swanky restaurant and I felt as though I fit right in. The service was sub-par and the food was horrible. Out of 14 people in my dinner party, only two enjoyed their meal and they both had the same thing, the seabass. I had pork and it was way too salty. The portions are really small for the price.
I have to say I was a little disappointed in Vita. The drink menu was a little limited, and my mojito was nothing to write home about. Myself and my two dining companions all had different salads. Both of their salads looked better than my nicoise salad. The ahi wasn't all that flavorful. I expected boiled new potatoes on the salad, but they were possible fried...I'm not sure, but they were weird and all dried out. The saving grace was the basket of house made fries that I dipped in an amazing blue cheese dressing. I ate way too many. The dessert was also very good. I was fine with our waiter, but my companions were both put off by him. It's a great location with good atmosphere, so I might try it out again for dinner.
Our dinners were outstanding! The sea bass, scallops, mussels and shrimp were cooked to perfection! The salads were FRESH! Service was outstanding. I'd highly recommend the sea scallops and the sea bass - really great! It does get a little noisy at times with all the happy diners - so be prepared. I loved it!
Food was good, but nothing outstanding.
It is noisy, difficult to talk for a table of more than 4 people.
Our waiter was too attentive and pushy at a time when the resturant was half full.
The out door patio looks like fun and there is a view of downtown.
Next time we will go when we can try the outside dinning.
We were celebrating a special birthday and everyone was fantastic making it a great evening. The jazz band sang happy birthday, our server was outstanding and helpful with menu choices. She was also very patient and went ot our relaxed pace for the evening. Will definately return.
The location and restaurant ambience is great, and they had live music (guitarist)the night we were there which we liked. The service was als very good. However, this is the second time I have been to this restaurant and the second time I have found the food very mediocre and disappointing for what is supposed to be a good culinary establishment.
Went here for Denver Restaurant Week with my girlfriend. Our first course included a carrot soup that I had and a pear gorgonzola salad that my girlfriend ordered - everything was fresh and very tasty up to this point. For our entrees I ordered the butternut squash ravioli which I must say was REALLY good, however, my girlfriend ordered the brick pressed chicken which came overly burnt and was very dry. For desserts we had the Peanut Butter Terrine and the Caramel and Banana infused Bread Pudding which both were really good! Except for the burnt chicken, our meal was good
The noise level was a bit louder than expected, but it was a Friday night at peak time. The food was amazing. We had the pork loin and the brick chicken. Both were perfectly prepared, and the portions were fairly large. The flavors of both exceeded expectations. The presentation was beautiful and our server was attentive and very professional. We will definitely add Vita to our list of places to repeat.
The service was lacking. Our waiter was overwhelmed with 6 new tables at once, but there was no assistance for him. Also there was no logic to how tables were served. It was also obvious our food had sat waiting to be delivered to our table. My dessert was served with completely melted ice-cream. While it tasted great, it was terrible presentation and did not raise my opinion of the service.
My food was excellent, but I couldn't see it. The restaurant was very dark and just when my final dish arrived the lights were lowered even more and our table was completely in the dark.
The food was so good, I just thought it took a long time to come out, and we went without water sometimes. The first booth we had for four was kinda tight but they moved us without complaint. I would definitely go back. We went for restaurant week and shared a bunch of things and it was all good.
