It was my first time at Vista Sky Lounge and I will DEFINITELY go back! With gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline, kind and friendly staff, and a delicious menu of both food and drinks at affordable prices, I believe I've found one of my new favorite hidden spots. An added bonus was the great selection of music at just the right volume and not crazy crowded, so we could actually enjoy conversation and hear each other.
Everything was amazing. Food, drink, dessert, view. Only thing I wish is that the music would have been louder.
The view was stunning, food was not great besides the greek dish. The service was fine, very friendly, but a bit slow. The tables, chairs, glasses and utensils were plastic.. Overall, was expecting a nice fancy restaurant, but was very disappointed.
Food was very basic yet pricey. Manager was accommodating, there is an automatic $26 commission. May not visit because of the prices. Viewswere stunning tho.
We celebrated my mom’s Birthday and we were treated so warmly & professionally.
The food was generous and decent.
They even turned on the portable heater when they saw that we were getting chilly.
The views from the roof top were of course the real reason why we went there but it was worth it.
The place was good but the waitress was terrible. It felt like she was rushing us to eat our food. My calamari plate was still half full and she was already asking if she can take it away. We were not ready to place our main course orders because we were still enjoying the appetizers and as usual the conversations between my wife, our daughter, and me but she was insisting on it like she wants to turn her table pretty fast. Never bothered to complain nor bother asking for her name because I still want to have a good time with my family. We also decided to order coffee and dessert but the coffee was taking too long that we just decided to cancel it.
It was my birthday dinner and about 5 others as well. Maybe that’s the spot eldrich Mellenials go to have a dinner with view.
The music played was so inappropriate. Basic, boring azz second rate techno remixes and club music. No one was there to party. For a restaurant bragging about ambience - poor lighting from electric candles too weak to illuminate the laminated menu - were less than ideal.
Food was okay, not great, but appropriate for the price point.
All cocktails came with ice - even the Negroni, so everything was a bit watery.
Wine selection is decent, was able to order one of my fav wines.
Overall it was a great nice with friends, because my friends are great.
View is beautiful, food is poor.
The place is beautiful and have an outstanding view of the city, thay have to update the bathrooms!!
The views were STUNNING, even on an overcast day. The food was subpar and the drinks were quite small, especially for the prices. I would recommend bar height tables to provide a clearer view of the skyline.
Service was terrible took an 1hr to take my tables order, waiter was rude than the food came out late they bought out half the tables food than it was a 30 min wait for everybody else food. On top of that there where shells found in everyone’s lobster Mac and cheese.
Is this required? I'm probably going to just keep typing until I fulfill...
Ambience was great, excellent customer service friendly staff but the food was horrible..
Amazing view food was great
Beautiful view. Wish there was more music for dinner time
The food was good and the views are great. The drinks were also very good.
Incredible place! Beautiful view and exceptional service! Honestly amazing and I would recommend to anyone. Just get there before 11:30 because the kitchen was closed when we arrived. But drinks were still available!
The menu wasn't how it was when I first went to Vista sky lounge they changed the entire menu and I was disappointed and although it wasn't the same I still enjoyed the entire scenery and I still had a blast
It was great
The only reason I give this place 1 star is because I can’t give them 0 stars. To whoever is thinking about booking this place, please take my word it’s not worth it.
The food and drinks are terrible, the service is terrible and rushed. If you book this place you will definitely leave feeling unsatisfied as I did.
Please read the reviews and look at their overall rating. I failed to pay attention to the review and was willing to give this place a try because of the view but it’s definitely not worth it.
The view was really great however the service was poor, the food and drinks were terrible. I ended up spending over $200 dollars and I left feeling unsatisfied. The occasion was my wife’s birthday and when I booked this reservation I made a special request for the waiter to bring a cup cake with a lit candle for my wife. They did not even read the request since this was never done.
I am definitely not going here again. I did see the poor reviews they had but I was willing to give this place a try because the view looked beautiful but it’s definitely not worth it.
Whoever is reading this I do not recommend this place.
Everything was wonderful and the view was amazing
The service was horrible. I had to make 2 separate reservations because we were 12 people in all . When I go there I as them if it’s possible to put the tables side by side and the refuse to do so. So my kids and niece were on the other side of us .
Incredible views. Charming and attentive staff. Friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Great food, great service and great drinks. Me and my fiance had a great time. Will definitely be back.
We drove down from Northern Westchester, scooped up my mom and found this rooftop restaurant on the East River overlooking the 59th St Bridge and city skyline. Our reservation was for 7, timed for sunset and night lights. We were seated immediately; the cocktails were delicious and so were the grilled octopus and the fig salad. My entree steak was very good, hubby's chicken kabob the star of the evening, mom's seafood pasta was fine, nothing special. Don't bother with the side of grilled vegetables- five slices of zucchini.
The place is small and was packed on a Tuesday night, but comfortably so in Covid times. We got a garage for parking and had to walk a few blocks. It's a working class Queens neighborhood, a bit deserted and dark on our walk back after din, but nothing that worried this Queens girl. We will go back, but during the week; as we all got the idea it might get a bit too loud and wild on weekends for us-I was celebrating my 60th there and could not have asked for a more perfect evening out~
One thing to be aware of is the 20% gratuity added to your bill, easy to miss...
Gorgeous views of Manhattan from this rooftop restaurant. Music was a bit loud and some people were not fully masked but overall it was a fun experience and I would eat there again.
great experience! good food ; good service; and the view all around is really one of a kind! always enjoy coming here!
My best friend’s birthday. Great time. Great food. Beautiful View.
Drinks were baaaaad. We got calamari and lobster Mac n cheese which was decent. Service was good. And the bathroom was disgusting. Public bathrooms are better than this. Will not go back again.
Food was much better this time. Service was not the best and food a little pricey.
Everything was good… but! The music was literally on repeat and horrible 😩
The place is beautiful, with one of the best views of the skyline. The drinks are well done, I loved the variety of craft cocktails, my favorite was the Rosa Margarita with watermelon flavors and infusion. Food was ok, it could be hotter, the octopus was delicious, and the seafood pasta was a really good portion. This place is amazing for birthdays, meetings, and dates.
Waited about an hr & had to ask if our orders were ready before it was brought over, fries were cold. Lobster roll was bad and the chicken Kebob! A Plate was dirty. Entrees served before the appetizers lol. Smh what a waste of money and time…! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Service awful, I had to talk to the server as he rushed past by. One glass of house white wine was $20. No mustard, was given salad dressing honey mustard and was told that a full menu rest. did not have regular mustard - he did not want to bother. The manager had to give process my check since server too busy. The view was spectacular which is the only reason I chose location. I felt I was wasting a table since was dining alone.
Food was great
Drinks was amazing
Great food. Great music , great views . Would highly recommend
Not a great place. I wouldn’t recommend. Crowded, service took forever. Expensive for a view that isn’t great. Extremely loud.
Views are beautiful but the menu is basic. Tastes like frozen food not prepared from scratch. 20% gratuity was added to our two-person check. Waiter was accommodating but we sent food back - Mac & cheese was watery & drinks are not strong
