Visconti's - Leavenworth Ratings and Reviews
The ravioli de zucca is what I had. The ravioli was completely man handled. The pasta was gummy and thick. The filling was good. I've had this dish before so I'm not sure if it was just a bad night, but this wasn't good. The server was very efficient, but somewhat rude. He was cutting my husband off when he asked questions. This night in which I look forward to almost every time we come to Leavenworth was just not good. I'm hoping next time it will be better.
This place is phenomenal, absolutely delicious food. Atmosphere and staff are amazing. I only wish they would get rid of the tv in the bar as it is not only serving the bar but is seen from the rest of the restaurant and takes away from the ambiance. I also wish they had a dress code, nothing too opulent but this is a nice place for a date/special occasion and being surrounded by people in t shirts and jeans on a nice evening out is off-putting. Maybe just require a button shirt etc... I highly recommend this place as the best food in Leavenworth.
Overall it was great, they sat us at a corner table but after we asked to be moved it was great. We got there a bit early they took care of us real well after we moved they came back to make sure we were happy. It was a great night. Appetizers and drinks were amazing. didn't touch our dinner as we were full from our appetizers and salad.
The food was outstanding. We never order past, but we both got pasta and it was amazing. Salads were very good. Breadsticks great. Not fancy food, but very good Italian. I savored the Spghettini Visconti. Really good and I can't wait to get back there. Atmosphere is a bit busy - this is not a quiet restaurant. But we got a 2 top next to a window on the second floor and it was really lovely - quiet enough. I just loved this place! Service superb throughout the experience - from host, waitress, bartender, etc.
Very good food, Italian is not my husband's favorite but he raved over his pasta with a bacon like meat in it. I appreciated the fact that they took reservations, having never been to Leavenworth and arriving on Valentine's day. We had a very private table over looking the main
street. The service was great too.
The dinning experience was awesome. The food was fantastic and the restaurant looked great. Even tho it was busy we were seated very promptly. And our server benny was very helpful and courteous throughout the stay. I will be sure to return for another visit.
We've been to Visconti's before, and always enjoyed our meal. We were seated just before 5 PM, it took over 10 minutes for a server to approach our table. Maybe it was a shift change? Once the server did make it to our table, she did a great job. We had the steamer clams for our starter, and they were very yummy. The prime rib was delicious, the only problem was that it was barely warm when we received it. The cold plate that it was on could not have helped. This server had it warmed back up and it was fine After that. The little salad and potatoes that came with our meal were excellent as well. We will be back!
I have dined at Visconti's on every visit to Leavenworth. Each time has been memorable for the festivities taking place in town as well as the wonderful meals. Starting with the delicious rosemary bread. I always find myself looking over the menu trying to decide among the many excellent options. Service has been great Everytime and there really isn't a bad seat in the restaurant. Will definitely look forward to dining here again.
It was mine and my daughter's annual Leavenworth weekend, as I play Roller Derby, and come for the Bavarian Bruisefest tournament. We knew we wanted one really outstanding meal. Well, we got it. We are food snobs coming from Walla Walla and this was one of the best meals we have had. Hands down, in the top five of my life. Great job, we will be back. I'm so glad I reserved a table a week ahead of time, the line for those who didn't was very long!
We had a lovely experience. We decided to head to Leavenworth for New Years Eve and knew we needed reservations somewhere. We decided to give Visconti's a try and I'm so glad we did. I had the frizzled spinach with prosciutto pasta and my husband had lasagne, we had an idea of what wine we would select but happily welcomed the advice of our server too (we were spot on though). The restaurant was decorated very festively, tables were not too crowded although full. Portions were plentiful and absolutely delicious. We won't go every time we head to Leavenworth, but definitely if we are there for a special occasion!
We went for New Years eve so it was lively but in a good way. The service was excellent and the food was good, not great. I am spoiled by excellent restaurants in my town of Portland so the bar is high The wine steward did a good job of selecting a good Italian wine that not overly expensive.
Food was excellent. Server was exceptional, she adeptly and pleasantly handled our picky eater (youngest child with Asperger's) like a pro. The simple things matter most and this helped make a family dinner out, often a stressful event with our special guy, a relaxing and pleasant experience. We really appreciated it a great deal.
Holiday time to visit so very crowded. The service and ambiance was fantastic! The salads were AMAZING - the beet salad was great as was my husbands spinach salad. The pasta was not very good, -certainly not $20 a plate worth. If you know good Italian food, I would pass on the pasta - thick cheese sauce, or red sauce with not much flavor.
Food was excellent as always. Two complaints that have consistently happened at Visconti's- They always squeeze my family of 5 people into a 4 seater table and it is incredibly crowded and minimal room for food & drinks on the table. Other complaint which has happened twice to me here is they have taken my plate away before I was finished with my food without asking. Both times I glanced away from the table and found the server walking away with my plate which still had several bites of food left. These things are both not that big of deal & the food is always great, still one of my favorite restaurants.
Great dinner meal overall. The half salads were quite large . Attentive service.
Had the butternut squash ravioli -tasty inside but could have used a tasty crunchy toping like sage leaves. My husband's pasta dish was very tasty. Good wine list. Very Christmasy décor and lively atmosphere. Fun night.
On vacation for Christmas. Food was great. Service good. Dessert was the one issue creama Carmella was described as custard with burnt sugar topped with frangelico cream I was expecting a cream brûlée with cream over it
It arrived no burnt sugar just bland no flavor custard with frangelico cream on top not what was written on menu.
All the waitress said was it's not cream brulee. It was returned.
Second issue was their tables were set up so close together that backs of chairs were touching diners behind you and my chair was so close to a post we had to angle table into walkpath area which was already too narrow for servers to walk by with trays they had to carry over their heads to avoid hitting customers.. was constantly bumped into by bus boys and water servers.
Just because Leavenworth has so many people during holidays is no reason to cram so many tables in that you can't enjoy dinner.
