Visconti's - Leavenworth Ratings and Reviews
Food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Enjoyed it so much, and there were so many other amazing meals on the menu, we ended up eating there the following day for lunch and dinner as well! Atmosphere was perfect. A little pricey, but worth the experience! Highly recommend the Frutta de Mare. Pizza was amazing and Italia authentic, as well. Wish this place was closer to home, I'd definitely be a regular! A must try for Leavenworth, WA!
The pork chop was raw. They reheated it but it was still not cooked through. They did take it off the bill. The cannelonie was very good. The Bolognese was blah as was the crab pasta dish...lacked flavor! The $28 bottle of Malbec was marked up to $58! The dipping oil for the bread was blah. A touch of balsamic vinegar added to it would have made a huge improvement. The Caesar salad was delicious! Won't eat here again.
A very relaxed feel. You could wear casual as in jeans and dress shirt or go more refined with a jacket and still not stick out. The steaks are aged well and cooked exactly as ordered. The Italian selections are very good and well prepared. I highly recommend the "Wood Oven Clams". The service is great and the prices are comparable with Leavenworth. All in all I would recommend Visconti's to anyone visiting or passing thru Leavenworth.
We were so glad to be able to have our last dinner on the patio before the weather turned cold. Every time we visit Leavenworth, Visconti's is always our favorite place for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious and the staff are excellent. Great place to eat inside or outside.
We have eaten her at least a dozen times--always a must-stop when we're in Leavenworth, WA. Oven roasted prawns are divine, with generous portions, not the typical four or six LITTLE prawns. The meat was 3 1/2-4" long, and I almost couldn't finish them. Had to leave much of the garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies, both of which were delicious. Had a fantastic Blood orange Cosmo. Despite their no longer offering Seafood fettuccini, they still serve it when my husband asks for it. Best overall restaurant in Leavenworth.
Viscoti's was delicious!!!! I love Italian- but not super greasy, heavy Italian. It was perfect! We went with another couple- and all 4 of our meals were delicious. Probably the best meal I've had in a year or two. We had the chocolate dessert. Oh.my.gosh! You have to try it!!
The ambience of the inside was great but since it was nice out, we sat outside. We had the Bolognese and short ribs. The short ribs was super oily. Well the meet was delicious and I would never order that dish again because of the amount of oil. The Bolognese was delicious . Unfortunately the quality of food was hampered by the poor service. We travel a lot and dine out frequently. The waiter wasnot friendly and quite frankly forgot about us for the night. We got our wine right before our meal. The bread every other table received came same time the meal came. We would have enjoyed another glass of wine but the waiter never bothered to come by and ask. The experience was a let down.
I had eaten here several years ago & the food was to die for. In town with a group of 5 people, I suggested we dine here....I was very disappointed. The food was bland. For the price, it was a real letdown. Between all of us, we ordered chicken parmesean, salads, halibut special, butternut squash ravioli & the bolganease....the salads were the best part. It was as if someone forgot to season the main courses. Should have made my own dinner, it would have been better. The meals were lacking depth of flavor, I felt it could have been made anywhere. Overpriced and a boring presentation. Not the restaurant I remembered it to be!
Our party of 6 was seating within 10 minutes of our reservation time. We enjoyed the upstairs dining hall and received great service. During our dining experience we were greeted by the host and asked if we needed anything and if we were happy with our meal selections, everyone was satisfied with their entree selection. Our server provided great service.
Our waitress was not very friendly and seemed like we were inconveniencing her even though we did not ask for any extra service from her. Our food was mediocre, pasta was undercooked and the sauce tasted like it was from a jar. The only redeeming factor was the price, I definitely would not have wanted to pay any more for the quality of food and service.
This is my favorite restaurant in WA state. My husband and I have been coming here for years because of the delicious food and amazing service. We made the 2 1/2 hour drive here to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. Unfortunately unlike the other times we have visited this one was not memorable. The hostess was nice but lied to me (I had requested to sit on the balcony under the misters, she told me that they were turned off but from our seat inside we could clearly see that they were still on), our server was SLOW and mediocre. The air conditioning was blazing in the hallway leading to the bathroom but for some reason was not on in the room we were sitting in (there was a vent directly above us with no air coming out). On another other day this may not have been a problem but this day was a record breaking 102' outside! The combined lack of air and slow service forced us to take our food to go (we had already been there 2 hours and all we ordered was a fried calamari appetizer and 2 dinners. There was no apology or explanation why it was taking forever. No one even cared that it was our anniversary, in the past they have treated us so well that we cannot resist coming back despite it being far from our home. This entire experience was underwhelming. I would be willing to try them again, but would not go out of my way to drive there specifically for dinner.
My wife and I were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary. We were treated very nicely with good service and attention by the staff. The food was excellant as always and the Pinot Noir we had was very good. We had a wonderful time and find Visconti's to be consistant in providing a nice dining experience. Recommend highly!!
The place is nice and service is friendly. We were there for my wife's birthday. She is a vegan and there was nothing on the menu that was vegan, so the chef accommodated a bit and made a vegan dish. However, the hostess had promised that there would be a few menu items that she can eat. Obviously, we didn't get a dessert but the rest of the food was good. The bread an oil dip was amazing and I noticed many people asking for a refill of that.
Overall, the experience was good though not great.
Visconti's is a great choice for Italian dining in a town posed as Bavarian. It's easy to just imagine you're in the German speaking area of Italy's Sud Tyrol and avoid any cultural confusion. A great alternative to the surprising lack of much Germanic food offerings in town.
The food quality is some of the best in town. The dining rooms are comfortable and many tables have lovely views of the streets below and mountains above. Perhaps not a screaming value, but worth the higher price tag if you want to elevate your Leavenworth experience a little. There's a solid wine list featuring Washington and Italian wines.
