Excellent food and cocktails. Definitely worth to come back and try other things on the menu:
Possibly our favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. Consistent, innovative menu, expertly curated wine list, genius cocktails and superb wait staff... all pulled off with a casual ease that disguises just how good they are.
Dine inside for a bistro feel or outside for a flowered patio experience.
Great place, already want to go back. Order the steak! You should call ahead to see if you can reserve the steak. Octopus was to die for and the sticky chocolate cake, wow!! Great service!!!
Great Food. Great service!
Everything was fabulous with exception of one pasta dish which was significantly undercooked (although still tasted good). I wasn’t clear from the website that it was a prix fixe menu however want an issue.
Great food , great waiter , great cocktails!
Delicious. Never disappoints. Just be aware that’s it’s all a price fix meal offered now. No complains. Yum!
Amazing food and ambience
Fantastic as always. Even with the limited menu (due to COVID) there were still great choices, especially the Polpo, which never disappoints.
Easily the best food in Scottsdale. We have dined here several times and never had a meal that was non memorable for the quality of preparation and flavors.
Dinner, as usual, was wonderful. Be sure to try something from the inspired cocktail offerings, to sip while you contemplate the menu. Summer prix fixe menu provided lovely choices. We chose buratta starter, heirloom tomato rigatoni, and Bistecca Tagliata, a huge Tomahawk steak, which the chef was kind enough to grill to perfection for 2 different temperature requests. The service was outstanding! Gracious, informed, professional. It was warm in the courtyard, to be sure, but a lovely dining experience. Virtu never disappoints!
Wonderful food and cocktails superb service
Wonderful food! Patio atmosphere was outstanding. Service was timely and attentive. One of our favorite restaurants that always makes for a great evening.
We loved the varieties of tastes in the various selections. The poipu (octopus) is amazing.
The only reason I didn't rate the ambiance higher was because the wait staff was wearing masks. I understand the alleged legal reasons for this, but it still detracts from the quality of the experience.
Let me be clear: I do NOT fault the staff of Virtu for this. My prior experiences at Virtu have been uniformly fantastic. This stupid virus panic is doing a great job of ruining experiences that would otherwise be amazing.
Excellent food and ambiance
We love the food and the service!
Due to being in Scottsdale, the outdoor seating sometimes leads to some nuisance noise by passing bar-goers.
Indoor dining is now our preference though the food would be worth the interruptions.
Get the wine pairings that our thoughtfully chosen to go with each dish.
Impromptu dinner for us. We were in the area and decided to try it. Because of social distancing, they only had outside seating, which was fine. Their summer menu is a one price, 3 course meal for $75, with an optional wine pairing for $25. The food was quite good. I gave the service 3 stars. The service was fairly attentive, but both the server and the manager(?)/host came across quite arrogant, seemingly as if is was bothersome to wait on us. Place is fine, but not worth arrogance.
This was our 3rd time and oh, so good-just like the others. Ivan was gracious, unassuming and he paired our dinner choices with fabulous wines. A little gem of a place perfectfor 2 or 4. Its Covid so of course it was quiet but the ambiance, sincerity of the staff and the meal -unforgettable.
Virtu is my favorite restaurant in Scottsdale and that says a lot given the great selection of restaurants available. The chef is creative but doesn't take his craft to an extreme so I am always pleasantly surprised. The staff is top shelf and provide excellent service without being intrusive. If you want a good meal, to celebrate with friends or family or to impress that business guest Virtu would be at the top of my list.
I was super excited to try this restaurant as it always makes the top restaurant lists but unfortunately I thought it was over priced and nobody at our table loved their first two courses. The octopus appetizer that they are known for was burnt and not good and my fish entree had a very overpowering olive taste. And my husband said his pasta had no flavor. The dessert was outstanding though and the patio had a nice ambiance so I would go there again but only for dessert. Unfortunately won't be going back for dinner.
Food was excellent and service was above and beyond expectations. Drinks were also excellent. I had the GnT and loved it. The Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly. Ambiance was good. Spacing was tight and had to sit on a concrete like bench which was not the most comfortable on the Patio side tables. Inside was a little dark and so we decided to take the outside tables. This is surely a place for couples to be at. Food and drink overcame some of the shortfalls. I recommend this place to anyone. The quality and taste of the Food and drink were worth the bill.
A great spot. Looking forward to the bar opening.
Always enjoy a trip here. A great and fun place for a wonderful dinner. Took some family from out of town here and they loved it.
This was a return visit to Virtu. The food again was amazing and a great value. Compliments to the chef and team in the kitchen for the creativity, quality and taste of the food from starter to dessert. The service was very spotty outside of the delivery of the starter and main course. Drinks were not replenished timely, or even asked to be and we waited for simple in between support to get a to-go box and our dessert. That needs to be improved to get 5 stars all around.
Delicious food, good portions, fantastic service, and a very fine night! Thank you
Virtu is a quaint restaurant with fantastic food! The only disappointment was not knowing in advance that they now have a fixed price menu. I wasn't a huge deal, but would have liked to have known beforehand.
We love this place. The food is really tasty and I love that the menu is small and seasonal.
Wonderful restaurant. Great choices on the menu and wonderful service.
My husband and I were very excited to try Virtu Honest Craft for the first time after reading glowing reviews. The restaurant was charming and romantic. Everything we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. upon booking our reservation we had marked that we were celebrating our anniversary. We were disappointed that this was not acknowledged in any way. A simple congratulations would have been appreciated.
After returning my entree (duck) due to toughness, the second attempt was wonderful. the portions were more than ample and artfully displayed. Each of the other courses were perfectly prepared.
We also loved watching the bartender, a true craftsman.
We dined here two years prior and looked forward to our return. Food, ambiance and cocktails were fabulous. The weak link was our server-however the host and the adjacent server who helped us too were wonderful.
The ice queen is the best drink I've ever had, and the Chocolate sticky toffee cake is one of, if not THE best dessert I've ever had!!!! Amazing!!! Loved it!!!
awesome as ever. amazing food and service
Celebrated my 40th birthday and the fanfare was amazing. Such a fantastic restaurant. It can be a little spendy, but it’s a nice splurge.
This place is EXCELLENT. That being said $2 for ice in your drink? Come on guys!
Food, drinks, service were all wonderful. Love this place and love to see the pride that goes into everything they do.
We love the food here, but we were particularly impressed at how seriously they were taking social distancing, cleaning, etc. That hasn't been the case with all Arizona restaurants. Staff wore masks and gloves - we definitely felt safer because of this. Not the cheapest meal in town, but we'll be back.
Virtu has to be one of our favorites in the Valley. The food is always amazing and the desserts are the best. Now that the summer months are here you are going to want to snag an inside seat but during the winter, fall, and spring grab a seat outside.
Great restaurant to social distance in. We were 15’ away from the closest table.
I had the duck and it was the best I have ever had.
Amazing as always. Nice to know I can recognize my favorite waiter in his mask!
