Awesome service & dinners
It is nice place to eat, but the food is ordinary and pretty expensive for the quality.
We were in the Scottsdale area for a few days, hiking and visiting sites. We found this restaurant on Yelp and could not have been more pleased. The ambiance was lovely. It was a perfect evening to dine al fresco. Every course was perfect--we had octopus, asparagus, a pasta and the duck.
Appetizers were great, Entrees were so so and salty. Love the atmosphere.
Great food slow service.
I'm afraid the four of us were disappointed with the meals. Two of us had the scallop entree; it was terribly salty and in fact I did not finish the meal. The salad we tried was okay but really seemed like someone was working too hard at being different and was not enjoyable. Another in our party had ordered the fish entree and received the burrata plate instead. We did not call attention to the error but it was not what was ordered. The pork chop dish was liked but he felt he had enjoyed many other pork dishes that were far superior.
The service of the individuals was excellent they were quite attentive and worked hard to make our evening wonderful. However I am afraid the food did not.
Great meal. "Incredible" food in lovely patio setting. Only drawback was server's overly need to educate us. We were out for pleasure. He was intense about rattling off the greatness of the chef and food. I am sure he said "incredible" about 20 times. We were not on the same wavelength even though we're all foodies. Still a great dining experience. Will be back. Will ask for different server 😎
This restaurant has a lovely setting and ambiance. The service was lackluster and my veal was very overcooked and almost inedible.
I ordered the scallop dinner, which was approximately $38. I received three medium scallops that were super salty. No other food was on the plate, just garnish that was so salty to even pick at. My date’s dinner was a bit better but not significantly. We had to go to a second restaurant afterwords because we were starving after our $100+ dinner.
Our server was excellent, and we had a nice table outside. Our polpo and asparagi appetizers were excellent. Unfortunately we were both very disappointed by our entrees - veal t-bone (charred on the outside; poor execution of the accompanying cipollini onions and kale) and gnocchi (cloyingly sweet; while our server had mentioned it was on the sweet side, this was over the top). Dessert was good, but couldn't redeem the failed entrees. We would go back and just get apps.
Food was extraordinary, service good. An experience worth driving for.
Extraordinary meal, with extraordinary wine and spectacular service. Tonights meal is one I won't soon forget. I live in Las Vegas, and would consider driving to Scottsdale just to eat here.
We had a great experience at VHC. The octopus was perhaps the best I have had. My only request would be more dishes that are plant based.
Moved to top of list for fine dining. Small but interesting menu.
Celebrated our anniversary at Virtu and we were luckily able to sit on the patio. We had a WONDERFUL evening. The food was outstanding. The ambiance was perfect. It was a very memorable dinner.
Wonderful service by Alvin! Such an attentive, nice guy! If you don't get anything else, get the chargrilled octopus. Honestly, will melt in your mouth.
We set on the patio, which was magical and romantic. Excellent wine list. Will be back next time we're in town.
Been in scottsdale a long time and this is the best of the best as far as I am concerned!
Fantastic ambiance, food and service! I'll be ack!
This is the second time we’ve been there and they must have changed chefs because the food was very disappointing this time. Everything was overly sweet, and I struggled to get through my duck gnocchi which was sweet and a quite soggy and the burrrata was served on a sweet donut which also wasn’t great and we left most of it. The veal loin was also over cooked after asking for it rare/medium. Service was again outstanding and was a beautiful summers nice to sit outside and the ambience was very relaxing. Just a bit shame about the food.
Fine attention to detail, perfection on a plate!
Chef Geo’s deserts-especially Butterscotch pudding-are off the chain fabulous!!! Don’t miss a memorable meal!!!!
The best fish we’ve ever eaten. Love this place.
The food was superb from taste, creativity and presentation. Virtu is a place to experience and enjoy a wonderful dinner. Some of the items we ordered were the Octopus, the Burrata, the Scallops all were great. The service is top notch from everyone we encountered to our waiter, Matt. It's a place everyone should try.
Great food and service. The dessert was incredible. When they found out it was our anniversary they gave us a card and Prosecco. Really nice touch.
We discovered this little gem with a friend for Sunday brunch! My husband and I returned a week later to eat brunch again. The dinner menu is pricey, but their brunch is delicious and reasonable. They have a good patio once the weather cools off a bit. The bar is well-stocked with great wines and crafted drinks. Give it a try...you won't be sorry!!!
I’ve been to this restaurant once before and had a lovely experience but something changed the next time.
The food was good - not delicious like before. It appears that the food needed seasoning.
In addition, I was extremely disappointed at the service. I am sitting at an elegant table at the patio and the waiter decides to walk past me constantly with a stack of dirty plates as if I was the pass-through or at a mess hall. I even requested that this stop, but someone who proclaimed to be the manager basically gave the attitude that I should tolerate this. The waiter had other pass-throughs that would not disturb guests to walk by with, but felt that mine was the easiest to walk by. Unacceptable for a fine dining experience.
Fantastic menu that changes periodically! Superb service! I loved the smoked duck breast and marinated lamb skewers!
Lovely evening! Great ambiance and food. I went for my birthday and stacks up against the other great restaurants in town. I'd highly recommend for a group dinner or special occasion.
Wonderful meal. We went for restaurant week. They serve an Octopus appetizer that is amazing. some of the best octopus I have every eaten. the Figs appetizer is amazing as well. Service was great as was the ambiance. We will definitely go back.
Great menu with just enough food on the plates without feeling stuffed. The meal and the cocktails are is very well crafted, great flavors and excellent service.
The food was exciting and tasted great. Great ambiance. Loved it!
I've hosted a lot of corporate dinners at nice restaurants throughout Scottsdale and Phoenix. Virtu is by far the best restaurant we've eaten at in regards to food quality, uniqueness/creativity of menu, ambiance, drink and wine list, and knowledgeable staff. It was an absolutely stellar dinner and we ordered every item on the menu (it was restaurant week menu). Get the octopus for sure if burrata is available!
I went there with a few friends for Restaurant Week. We were impressed by the wine list. I was happy with the non-alcoholic drink selection. The ambiance and skill of the servers made for an excellent pairing. Everything was delicious and fit all of our needs. Did I mention the servers were super nice, impressive, and accommodating? Would absolutely come back here with my boyfriend for a special evening. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a spectacular evening in Scottsdale.
Went to Virtu Honest Craft for restaurant week. We could only get a reservation for outdoor dining and I'm glad we did. The outdoor space is delightful. I think much more appealing than the darker and noisier interior. This was my first visit to Virtu and I have to admit I had high expectations. Many restaurants have a hard time meeting, let alone exceeding expectations. However, Virtu did just that. Our server was very knowledgeable and helpful. She was articulate and did a great job of describing the menu. She was also helpful by asking the right questions and directing us accordingly. The food was insightful and well thought out. From appetizer to dessert it was a wonderful experience. It was truly a dining experience. Not going out to have dinner, but going out to fall in love with food and your surroundings. As a first time visitor I have to say Virtu made my top three list in the Scottsdale/Phoenix restaurant scene. I'll have to go back again soon to see where it falls in my top three. It's not hard to believe, from this experience, that it could end up in the number one position. Bravo Virtu!
Always exceptional, Virtu is a one-of-a-kind. It's cozy, has a lovely courtyard, the food is outstanding and the servers know the menu and how to treat guests. We love this place. Inadvertently went during Restaurant Week, something we often avoid because the crowds can interfere with the quality of the experience and often the menu is not typical for the restaurant. No fears - Virtu handled it beautifully.
Always a great consistent date night place to dine!
Largest selection of Amari (bitter liqueur) in Arizona and great food!
We went for Sunday brunch. Best brunch I have had in Scottsdale! We all 3 ordered the savory crepe then we ordered the lemon poppyseed pancakes for the table to share. I would go back there every Sunday! I cannot wait for the weather to cool off so sitting outside will be bearable because their patio is wonderful!
Virtu was outstanding in every way. We sat at the bar before dinner and the bartenders were very knowledgeable on drinks as well as the dinner menu which by the case changes often. The best appetizer on the menu believe it or not is the octopus. My husband had the pork chops and I had the duck. Lots of flavor and ambience. They have outside seating but with the weather at over 100 degrees inside was more comfortable. It is small inside but worth the trip for drinks and dinner.
The menu is limited for lunch; however, the quality of the food makes up for the limited choices. My husband chose the octopus 🐙 and I chose the pork polenta. Both were outstanding. Would like to see the octopus served with rice as the portion is more akin to an appetizer.
The food and atmosphere are above and beyond any fine dining that you could find .
The dessert menu is especially delightful and indulging. The staff is incredible and this is one of my favorite gems in Scottsdale .
Really liked the ambience and the location of this restaurant . The server who served us was very patient and nice . The food was mostly good and definitely unique . I would however definitely come back for another occasion .
