Great place you don't feel like you are in AZ. Small inside, but great good. Server could have been more attentive considering the number of people .Cocktails were awesome. Chef likes to change it up which is really great about this place. Wish the waiter would have asked before pushing the extra bottles of water.
Excellent service, lighting was appropriate. Temperature was a touch high for me, however my date was very comfortable (she’s from the tropics and temperature is a bit of an inside joke between us).
The polpo (octopus) was impressive as it always is. Her (cappesante) scallops presented well and prepared to the quality of the cost. I was most impressed with the anatra (smoked duck breast). I cannot overstate how satisfied I was with that dish. Customer tip: order the duck breast medium rare and then discuss how it rivals some of the best cuts of red meat you have enjoyed.
Neither of us historically order dessert often, but date night demands a sweet finish... We were both surprised at how decadent the caramel cake (the exact name of the dessert is lost on me at the moment) was in taste and texture. We both agreed it would be worth a stop for a late evening dessert and coffee to squeeze in something fun and flexible when schedules don’t allow an entire evening.
I have been visiting Virtù for two years now and the staff will continue to field my patronage for years to come.
My boyfriend and I had a gift card here from Christmas and finally decided to use it for our anniversary... we didn’t regret a thing! Our drinks were exquisite, and the food was delicious, simple in a well-balanced way, and light.
This was so awesome! Everything was great....cocktails, food and service!!! Would definitely recommend and we will be going back!!!
Great service and exceptional food. This is definitely a high end dining experience that is well worth the price. Every meal we've experienced has been wonderful and the menu changes often so the offerings are always varied and a great dining experience.
We were blown away by this little gem of a restaurant.
Matt was our front of house who had a passion for the restaurant, service, food, wine and his customer.
The taste of the food was impeccable, the small menu was more than perfect to fulfill the outstanding presentation and taste. Vast array of wines, spirits, liqueurs and dessert wines. The dessert choices and taste...OMG, that’s all I can say...taste was everything.
Restaurant is intimate, busy (Wednesday eve) around 10 tables/30 diners and seated bar area. (Patio if not too hot) Background music, perfect, low level lighting perfect and a mention goes to immaculate rest rooms scented with a live candle.
This gem is now our go to place every time we visit from the UK.
The Polpo and Anatra are great, flavorful dishes to order. Great recommendations from the waiter. Not the best for a business dinner, but we were surrounded by couples.
Food was good............portions tiny and the prices sky high..................Won't be back.
Very accommodating and professional service. We (two couples) arrived very early for our dinner reservation and met with another couple we hadn't seen in years, to have a drink before dining. Staff set up a table for us outside and took drink and appetizer orders, even though there was not really any outside service!
The restaurant is small and lively. All of the food was impeccably prepared and exceedingly delicious. Once again, the service was top notch.
Fantastic! The food was spectacular and the cocktails were incredible! Fernando is a great mixologist; we just loved sitting at the bar watching and learning.
Second time dining here and I am wondering what took me so long to get back! Great food. Great cocktails. Great service and ambiance. All of it. You can't go wrong with Virtu!
Our waiter was great and very knowledgeable of the menu items and how to pair them together. We had the scallops and grouper; great flavor and very light for a warm summer evening.
We absolutely enjoyed our meal from start to finish! We will definitely be back.
This place is incredible, vibe is great food is perfect!
We were celebrating a recent work promotion for my husband. Our experience was wonderful. From my cocktails to the dishes we shared (2 appetizers, a pasta plate & the infamous Tomahawk Steak) our server Matt was witty & made spot on menu suggestions. We ended our meal with pistachio gelati + a sticky chocolate toffee cake topped with caramel gelati. The latte we ordered alongside was rich & creamy, just as it should be. Virtu exceeded our already high expectations. The staff was attentive; I made note of my husband’s promotion on our reservation & they all congratulated him throughout different parts of our meal.
Best meal in Phoenix!
Wish there was a 4-5 course tasting menu as everything was at another level.
We have been frequenting this establishment for a number of years now and its ever changing menu is always satisfying and thoughtfully prepared. The chef really know his stuff. This latest meal - brunch, you have to try their french toast, their pork dish, and a dish with portuguese sausage in it - very tasty!
Loved everything. Very relaxed setting and the food was amazing, one of the best meals I’ve had since I moved to Arizona from Chicago.
Beautiful setting and amazing staff. The food was spot on, but honestly, dishes were pretty small for the price. I get that they are unique and fresh ingredients, but $25 for a small (palm sized) portion of pasta as a second dish? Just a tad overpriced. I want to qualify the previous statement, I'm 5'2" and 120 pounds, so not a huge, bottomless-pit kind of eater. Other than portion size, the staff was super attentive and knowledgeable, the drinks were inventive and tasty, the wine list was right- sized, and the flavor combos/textures were divine.
Had the mascarpone polenta pork ragu/ egg dish for brunch and it was so delish! Very attentive service.
Neat little restaurant offering delicious food and a good wine list, especially by the glass. Only negative was the noise level. It’s very small and they have a lot of tables crammed in there...... so unfortunately for us when we dined there was another diner there who only appeared to shout! Somewhat ruined an otherwise fabulous date night!
The food is very, very good, especially their signature dishes - the polpo (octopus) and asparagi (asparagus). The service was top notch. However, it was too noisy to hear ourselves think, never mind talk. Prices are also on the high end - too high, in my opinion. Overall, we're glad we came, as the place is legendary. However, we can get virtually the same food with better sound proofing at their "brother" restaurant, Nico, in Gilbert, and prices are lower as well.
Chef Gio is doing some fantastic food at Virtu. Everything we ate was seasonal, seasoned and delicious. I loved the bucatini carbonara with n’duja and the asparagus dish with duck egg and foie hollandaise. Wine selection was tasty. Service was knowledgeable and they love the food they serve. If you’re a food forward person, try Virtu.
This is a great restaurant with great food and great service
Very attentive service, wonderful food, and nice wine list!
Food superb ..svc excellent
Amazing. The polpo is awesome, but you can’t go wrong with anything. Great service, especially Hoke our server (excuse me if I got that wrong). Will go back again and again!
Grilled octopus was exceptional. Elegant dining with interesting and tasty food.
Great environment, reminded me of being in Europe. Well crafted menu and exceptional food. Great for a romantic dinner.
This is our favorite spot for Brunch in Phoenix. Have been to Virtu on many occasions the last several years and are never disappointed. Service and food always outstanding.
An outstanding experience! I will definitely return.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely early friday night dinner. The food, drink, service and vibe were right on and appreciated. Thank you to the entire team!
There are many things to like about this restaurant. The food was excellent and they provide good sized portions. The service was great too. We sat outside in the courtyard which is lovely but it doubles as a walkway for the hotel. There wasn’t almost any foot traffic, it just seemed to lack intimacy most 5 star restaurants have. Inside was a bit cozy with a bar atmosphere. It is a fun atmosphere but make sure that is want you want for your meal. I am glad we went and I will go again.
My husband and I were in the area for one night and we are so glad we choose this restaurant! It was exceptional and I will most definitely return given the chance.
Fabulous food- had the Pork ragu and polenta. It was amazing. Small menu but great selection. Cozy setting and beautiful outdoor space.
Loved the place, but the inside is way too loud, hard to carry on a conversation
The dinner is quite good and the pace of presentation is spot on. We have eaten there a few times but always outside. This was the first time inside. I would recommend outside. It is a bit too noisy inside and takes away form he presentation of the meals. The noise inside is best suited for burgers and tapas. Will go again though. My wife really enjoys it and it is her "go-to" place for friends and out of towners.
Loved the exclusivity and fabulous fare. Great dining experience . We will be back !
Great meal and service. Will recommend.
This was the dining highlight of our recent trip to Scottsdale, and it will always be in the rotation when we visit.
Lovely cocktails. Solid wine list.
The waiters were knowledgeable and passionate about the food, wine list and cocktails. The grilled octopus starter was delicious. Tender and perfectly cooked with a spicy dressing, deliciously prepared chickpeas and a lightly dressed rocket and fennel salad.
The pork chop was another highlight- beautifully cooked and accompanied with bitter greens and fennel sausage. Pork on pork doesn’t get better than this.
The dessert menu looked wonderful but fancied something simple so we tried the gelato, which didn’t disappoint. Coffee was pretty terrific, too.
There are so many things on this menu I would like to try - it was so hard to choose!
