We went for brunch and the French toast was the I’ve had. Waiter was excellent.
Wonderful eclectic menu. Everything was phenomenal. I had the scallops and my wife had the pork rib. Excellent service, and prompt service when we told them we had a concert to attend and only an hour for dinner.
We had brunch with friends before attending the afternoon performance of Late Night Catechism: Christmas show at the Scottsdale Performance Center. We had the omelette, vegetable crepe and poached eggs. Everyone loved the food. The restaurant is intimate. The menu is creative and the food was delicious. We will be returning to do some outdoor dining, it looked so welcoming. Our server was attentive. Overall relaxing and enjoyable.
Eating at Virtu' is a culinary experience. The food is exceptional and so is the service making dining here an absolute foodie must. The interior dining area is small so it can get a bit noisy when full but the patio which is quaint and romantic offers a great option and also has plenty of heat lamps and throws to accommodate even on chilly evenings. The menu changes seasonally which allows the chef to use only the freshest ingredients available.
Perfect in every way.
Great neighborhood gem! The food is always fantastic and the service is impeccable
Great food and awesome service. Would definitely recommend this place to all my friends.
A truly delightful lunch, and practically perfect in every way (OK; no bartender present. but the mimosas were just right!!). We sat outdoors in their lovely sheltered patio, service was charming and struck exactly the right note, and the food - as always - was excellent. We love coming here!!
We love Virtu; this is some of the best food in Scottsdale. (The restaurant is lovely.)
Very cool ambience, great service, interesting food at a hefty price tag, hungry when I left.
The restaurant is tucked into a larger building. The environment is open and inviting. The inside is small, there is a lot of outdoor seating in a well done patio. There were ample heaters and fire pits to warm the chilly night.
The menu changes regularly. It is varied and everything looked wonderful. Our server was pleasant and informative. Her wine recommendation was spot on.
We had two shared appetizers a small pasta and non-shared main corses. We were told the portions were small, but we thought they were quite generous.
Everything was delightful. It was flavorful and cooked to perfection.
We had decadent deserts and cordials and called it a night.
The only thing is if dining like we did, be prepared for a generous tab. It was well worth it.
I have dined at Virtu many evenings and several brunches. Never have been disappointed. I always ask for Ivan as my waiter. He is always on top of the evening. Probably my favorite Scottsdale Restraunt for both a casual or special dinning experience.
Read all the good reviews and I would agree, great food and service. So nice to sit outside in November. To top it off they had our all time favorite deserts, Butterscotch pudding and sticky toffee pudding.
Amazing food and service.
Nice ambience. Excellent food.
Such great ambience! The food was delicious and service was great. The sticky toffee cake and budino were AMAZING!
Never disappoints. Polenta and octopus were both excellent, as usual. Since it was after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, there weren't a lot of people at the restaurant - good for us but not so good for the restaurant. Great time to go as this is somewhat slow at this time. Food is always excellent at lunch and dinner.
The burrata appetizer and pasta with porcini mushrooms and chestnuts were excellent. The smoked duck entree was unique with complex flavors. Our waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The indoor dining area is very noisy and plain. Wine prices are exorbitant.
Outstanding from start to finish. Shared octopus, burrata, parpadelle pasta, and pesto pasta among four of us. We each had our own entrees. I had the pork rib-so tender, perfect temp. Duck and short ribs were also amazing. Service was great. Received complimentary champagne and a nice card for our anniversary. Don’t leave without having the sticky toffee pudding!
Enjoyed interesting layered flavors in a nice setting. The wine list was short on white burgundy but had a nice champagne instead.
Hands-down one of the best restaurants in the Phoenix area. Been here three times and have never been disappointed. The menu changes frequently, so there are always new items to try. The restaurant itself is charming and unpretentious. Wait staff are amazing -- attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Food is always cooked perfectly and dishes are put together with a sophistication that is hard to find in this town. Brought some out of town "foodies" here, and they all commented that they would come to Phoenix just to go back to Virtu.
One of the best. Four of us went for brunch. We sampled from all and everyone agreed the flavors were a cut above average - way above. All the dishes were unique. The vegetable crepe may have been the standout with all the vegetables just perfectly prepared and integrated into a unique whole. The outside setting reminds me of a song in Europe and it's on a quiet street in Scottsdale. Just beautiful. Can't wait to go back for dinner!
I’ve dined here a few times and every time the food is fantastic. Innovative, flavorful and unique. And the ambiance is super cute and chic with indoor and outdoor seating. My daughter said the brown butter French toast at brunch was the best she had ever had and that she doesn’t think she can eat any other French toast again.
Fold was good. The service was amazing. Our server was very helpful and polite. He answered everything and knew his stuff. Would visit here again.
Absolutely fantastic. Great service. Great suggestions from our server. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
We had an amazing dinner!!
This is my most favorite restaurant in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The octopus is amazing,...actually, everything ordered was spectacular. The combination of flavors worked in every dish. The drinks are equally as good. Great service and a cozy atmosphere to-boot. You can’t go wrong here.
Great restaurant my new favorite great food great service nice setting
Had been to Virtu for dinner but went this time for a Sat brunch. The food is quite good but the waiter was off putting, like he could not be bothered....my friend and I were catching up so had lots to talk about. Clearly the waiter wanted us to leave, we arrived at 1pm and left by 2:30, but our waiter kept taking down the sun umbrella, (hint hint) which was pretty rude considering the shade was a good thing at
that time of a warm day....Good food, bad vibes.
They made our Anniversary very special!!! The service was top notch with our waiter and all other staff wishing us a Happy Anniversary!!!
Virtu was lively and fun food. We loved our waiter and the other staff. Everyone worked so well together. We will be back!
Very unique menu that changes all the time. Food was very good and the outdoor area is so nice it was quiet and romantic. Much noisier inside but still nice. Chef uses fresh ingredients, food is pricy but worth it if you want some nice dining.
Discovered Virtu in 2017 when we were here on a business trip. We had dinner on a Monday night and came back again Tuesday night for more. We are in the area again, and had dinner at Virtu last night. The food, service, and down to earth atmosphere were as we remembered, but the food even surpassed our experience from our last visit (amazing swordfish collar!). We eat at restaurants all over the world, and Virtu is now on my “favorites” list. Thank you so much for all that y’all do to make dining out a pleasure. We both enjoy cooking at home (and grow most of our food), and only return to restaurants that can do as good or better than home.
Brought my friend who's visiting to Virtu. She ordered the scallops and pork belly and loved each bite.
I let the bartender know that I'm temporarily on a restricted diet, so I was trying to figure out what I could order. He got info, talked to the chef, and came back with a suggestion on how they could modify the two wash ranch hen. I was ecstatic to be able to enjoy a good meal at my favorite restaurant.
The food is spectacular, the service was impeccable and our overall experience was outstanding! If I lived in Scottsdale I would be making this a regular eating spot.
Wonderful food and service. Something for everyone. Will definitely visit again when I return.
Everything about the evening was great. Service, ambience, and the food was superb!!! Highly recommend.
My wife and I were out for "date night" and have been here before. We had asparagus and burrata for appetizer. Both quite good. The dinner was scallops and dick. My wife had the scallops and I had the duck. The duck was on the low end of preparation. Knowing full well that there is a bit of fat on duck, I did not expect to have far more fat than duck. It was a bit disappointing. The preparation was supposed to be medium rare but was mostly rare and each bit was more fat than meat. I left the fat behind. My wife and I have been here before and it is my wife's "go to" place. Do not order the duck. The burrata with prosciutto is shown in the photo.
Liked it better before the update after the fire. Tables are really close together which makes an intimate evening impossible. We sat on the side up front and looking at a wall does not create the greatest ambiance, but we did have a small dog with us and he was easily accommodated in this location. The food is still fabulous, but since I was with the VP of Harry Caray's in Chicago, I wanted this to be extra special and it truly was not. Oh well, will try for brunch some weekend!
