Our server was great, friendly, efficient and so nice. The dining room is simple but was a bit loud with a large bachelorette party so it was a bit difficult to have a conversation.
The food is hearty and flavorful. Big portions, great Southern home cooking. A fun casual evening.
The Shrimp & Grits are phenomenal! Great place, super atmosphere, friendly service.
We loved the food and service. Loved the music from the 60’s and 70’s - Age appropriate for our group.
Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. We will be back to enjoy another lunch at your restaurant.
Birthday lunch for a friend. Food was delicious and our server was very attentive and friendly.
Nice brunch. Good to have juice choices for mimosas.
Excellent spot for breakfast on King st. Enjoyed the variety of options and the mimosa carafes are excellent.
My friends and I visited with a food tour and liked it so much that we came back later! The environment is friendly and comfortable. The team seemed to really like working together and their jobs. The food was delicious. Loved the omlette, fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits and cornbread!
This is the first time I've ever posted a negative review on a restaurant. My daughters and I had brunch at Virginia's yesterday...we each ordered something different, and it was all mediocre at best. The breakfast burrito was dry, the yogurt parfait was warm and tasteless, and the she crab soup was room temperature and underwhelming. It's such a cute restaurant with an awesome location. I can only assume it stays in business because of tourists. I can't imagine a local going back twice.
After hearing great things about this restaurant, I decided to give it a try. I had a friend visiting from out of town, so I made reservations for dinner. It was during restaurant week, so I was assuming the specials on the menu would showcase what they had to offer. My assumptions were wrong, as the food was served mildly warm at best, and the flounder was very undercooked. The sides were portioned generously, and very tasty, but again, served tepid. The service was amazing, and Jenna was by far one of the best servers I've had the pleasure of meeting. She was friendly, very personable, and went above and beyond to make an average dining experience one to remember.
I host a daily wine and cheese reception at a downtown hotel, and am asked daily for recommendations for dinner. Based on my experience, I would not put Virginias on my list of restaurants to steer my guests toward. First impressions are very imporant, and Virginias definitely didn't meet up to our expectations.
staff was so nice, restaurant week specials were great! i’m going to start going here all the time!
We had an excellent server. Food was bland and unappealing to the eye.
Virginia's on King was amazing. Our first time there. Looking forward to trying their breakfast menu soon.
Grits with pepper added? Ham way too too salty. Disappointing
Nice atmosphere, not at all stuffy. Good looking menu. Our server, whose name I can’t remember, was great, friendly, outgoing and very efficient. My pulled pork was very tasty and the fries were terrific, hot and tasty. My husband enjoyed his burger. A really nice experience.
Our server was utterly lovely and charming. The food was very good and it was a casual comfortable feel. Fried green tomatoes were excellent!
We have had better experiences, but we believe any issues are related to staffing shortages. Everyone working was multitasking so during these times this is normal for most of today’s restaurants. We will continue to support Virginia’s and others during this difficult and challenging time
Service very slow
Tomato pie very small and below average at best
Normally on a Sunday morning the place is packed but lots of empty tables
Was our favorite for a long time but no longer
Hubby had omelet which was nothing special
To order drinks took about 15 minutes
May go back one more time but not sure as quality of everything was subpar…
Great food and service- everything is homemade and delicious!
Out of everything!! Was told after ordering at least twice that they were out of what we ordered. The server did her best and tried to be accommodating but we should have just left. We will not be back.
Both of us ordered the Salmon and it did not appear to be fresh, it came to the table cold. The onion casserole was good as well as the other veggies.
Super tasty brunch!
The food and service were fantastic. We made a reservation and had Octavia as our server. We started with deviled eggs and fried green tomato (highly recommend both) I had the seasonal salad with grilled shrimp was amazing and loaded with fruits! We also had the country ham Benedict. The location and food you can’t beat!
It was just what we were looking for! Delicious brunch, good service, and friendly atmosphere!
Fantastic crab cakes and fried chicken! And the banana pudding OMG!
Best service and Fried Chicken in town.
Well worth the visit!!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch at Virginia's. We loved the "quaintness" of the entire experience. The food was very good and the service was as well. We look forward to dining here again in the very near future.
Great food, drinks and service!
Had brunch while in town. We tried the crab cake Benedict and crab cake sandwich. Very flavorful and delicious!
Must try the stuffed French toast! Wait staff was super friendly and attentive.
Large selection of brunch items. Great food and service. Be sure to make a reservation.
While visiting, we tried this spot. The service by Abby and Kris was awesome, very friendly and professional. We had the pancakes, chicken and waffles, crab Benedict and farmer’s omelette and all were really good. Would visit again and if local would be one of my go to spots.
Food was incredible
Family with two teenage boys loved the delicious Southern food!
Great meal, good service.
Skylar was an excellent server!
Excellent place only did a four on the food because the temp of the food was not hot. Wonderful place but disappointed on the food
Very good breakfast!
Best grits ever but my over medium egg was boiled hard with fried crispy edges :-(took a long time to get our food even though we were the first people there. The piece of fried chicken was awesome but had no seasoning.
Long wait despite reservation . Drinks took forever , appetizers and dinner as well . Meatloaf was over cooked and completely smothered and overdone in onions . My sons chicken wings and fries were both undercooked . Seafood platter was not worth price . Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
