Staff were very pleasant. Was there for brunch and was very loud which I guess was to be expected. Everything ordered was correct. Will definitely return for brunch.
Fantastic brunch spot! Food was fantastic.
Fantastic experience…..put this on your must visit places
The fried chicken and mac and cheese were really exceptional.
Best fried chicken in USA
Great food, great service! This is a good place to go for regional food!
Amazing food every time!
Both service and food were both great!
We ate at several of the top rated restaurants in Charleston during the week. Virginia on King was the best of all the places we went. We arrived at 7pm for our 7pm reservation and had to wait only 15 minutes to be seated. The manager was so apologetic even though we didn't complain. She then bought us an appetizer for the slight delay. The food and service was fantastic. Best place we ate at all week and the most affordable.
The service was AMAZING! The manager Khris was the best. She truly made my fiancée trip!
Excellent food, excellent service… great location!
We had supper here for the first time. Prices were good, food was great. They bring out warm corn bread to start. We had the fried tomatoes and deviled egg as an app. The burger was a bit over cooked but overall the experience was great.
For starters, A bad odor hit us squarely in the face when we entered the restaurant. There was no one at the reception desk for more than 5 minutes. Although there were very few diners, the noise level was outrageous. The floor was filthy and a worker had the gaul to start sweeping up around us while we were eating! It was hard to enjoy the food with so many distractions.
Great food and relaxed atmosphere!
The service was wonderful although it took a long time for the food to arrive. It was worth waiting for especially the chicken fried steak and the grits.
Poor food for the price. Restaurant smelled moldy.
We went for the fried chicken. It was really good. Husband had breakfast also very good.
Great food, atmosphere, and amazing staff.
Took awhile to get our food, 40 minutes but they were kind enough not to charge us for the chicken dinner. Best chicken we ever have eaten.
Just great food and service. Enjoyed everything.
Virginia’s did not live up to its reputation. We went for breakfast. I had the grits with scrambled eggs and cheese. The grits were tasty but my eggs were cooked to death. Hard and dry. I ordered a side biscuit thinking I would get something flaky like a southern biscuit should be but it was stale and tasteless. Such a disappointment.
We went on a Thursday which was fried chicken night. The fried chicken was DELICIOUS! Along with 3 huge pieces of chicken, you get your choice of 2 sides and banana pudding. Everything was great. Our waitress was super friendly. The fried green tomatoes are also excellent. If you are looking for southern cooking this is the place!
We came based on the reviews, and people were right! This is a must while visiting Charleston. Excellent food and service. Thank you!
Didn't live up to expectations or previous reviews. Meatloaf sandwich was overcooked and what my wife had was mediocre at best. Fried green tomatoes app was good but half of them were dropped on the floor on the way to the table spilling a lot of ranch dressing on the floor but more importantly got all over my wife's pants in multiple spots. Server was very apologetic and this was definitely an accident but when she said this would be taken off our bill I was surprised to see it wasn't. Just paid the bill and left. Most likely won't go back. Better places in Charleston.
Best fried green tomatoes ever! Enjoyable, attentive staff. The restaurant still has tables somewhat spaced which I appreciated.
Virginia's is our go-to for last minute dinners when we want to treat a guest. The food is fantastic, service is always great. It's pretty centrally located so very easy to park.
The fried green tomatoes are a must-try! The ranch was phenomenal
Virginia's on King was hands down one of the best experiences my group had in Charleston.
From our server to the guy who expedites in the back they made our brunch just amazing! So kind, friendly and energetic. I truly can't wait to come back!
The food was phenomenal and I can't wait to try more items on the menu!!!
Why wait in line for fried chicken in Savannah, when this spot has the best fried chicken I’ve had!!!
Food, service and atmosphere was amazing! We always love Virginia’s! This time was just as exceptional as always!
The entire staff was super friendly and our waitress was phenomenal. She was very helpful with drink and food selections; she even brought us champagne to celebrate our anniversary dinner. The fried chicken was so delicious and crispy and the shrimp and grits was flavorful and creamy. We really enjoyed our dinner at Virginia’s and would return to try other plates off the menu.
Celebrating 50th birthday
We went for dinner and had the Fried chicken dinner and the crab cakes. The food was amazing. The hostess was amazing, however our server was not. She was nice but seemed distracted and in a hurry with hardly any people there at 5:15pm. She overcharged us and forgot to bring dessert. The hostess somehow fixed everything and was friendly.
The place has an old-world, worn-in, comfortable sorta vibe which is very cool. It’s an historic building, which adds to the ambience, but that being said, we were disappointed with the general cleanliness (floors hadn’t been swept from the lunch crowd, old dust on light fixtures and artwork frames, very untidy restroom, silverware that was not clean). Overall, the food was great and the restaurant is cute. With a bit more attention to detail, this could have had a five stars.
Good and service were great! So pleasant! Atmosphere is bright & cheery!
Food was fantastic. We weren’t very adventurous but did have the fried green tomatoes. They were delicious. Our server, however, was outstanding. She happily helped us choose from the menu spending lots of time with us but not compromising service to any other tables. We would definitely go again!
Meals were heavy on meat, eggs or carbs with only choices of grits or homefries as sides. Entrees were very good though.
Fantastic service and high quality versions of classic southern cuisine. Server Ash was so friendly and helpful.
Great service oh that cornbread and banana pudding were the bomb!!
The food was lovely! Ash, our server, was outstanding and very helpful! Each of our entrees were enjoyed immensely.
Food was very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for what it was. The overall ambience of the restaurant was great, but the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting.
