Virago never fails to impress us! We love going there for any occasion!
Not a bad place for sushi. Love the wine list.
One of the first people in the restaurant, as our reservation was at 5PM and they opened at 5PM. Was sat right next to the kitchen and listened to them shout “IN” for an hour and a half. Definitely not the experience I wanted. As someone in the restaurant industry, I was highly disappointed.
The food was great !
We eat at this restaurant at least twice a week. We show up for our reservation tonight and they try to give us a table by the bathroom. We were seated at the table for a good 10 to 15 minutes and I finally had to ask someone to come and wait on us. It took forever just to get our drinks. We ordered a shrimp appetizer and when it was brought to the table the girl pours it out on the table. We had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes to get another Appetizer while requesting our drinks one more time. It was a strike out on date night!!! 🙈🤷♀️😡
Always a great time at Virago!
Daddy Daughter Dinner
We always love coming here whenever we are in Nashville!
Always a great meal and great service at Virago.
Great food with great service. Will return for another great dining experience.
What a great restaurant to celebrate with family !!! There’s something for everyone there and so different from most places in Nashville ....
Awesome sushi! Great service!
We are from San Francisco and eat sushi several times a week as it is our favorite meal. The restaurant is very good looking with lit river rocks displayed behind a metal grate, however, they needed a good dusting. The highlight of the meal was the fresh wasabi. The crisp broccoli and salmon sashimi good as well. The rice under the nigiri is not very good which in turn saddens the nigiri. The one roll we had, the bomb was ok and a bit salty.
I loved my waitress, she was very sweet and accommodating to our needs. She even took the time to write a list of gluten free entrees for us.
Never fails! Always a great night when I’m in Nashville ❤️
We heard all the hype about this place.... For $200 for 4 people I usually don’t bat a eye, but our server wasn’t the best. To make this easier I’ll just bullet point it
1. Ordered drinks 3 came out the other took 5 mins to come.
2. Ordered lobster shots as a app. They never came, told sever to cancel them
3. My wife ordered Ramen. It tasted like cheese with noodles.
4. At no point did the server apologize about any of this. We are easy going people and understand things happen, but if anyone in a customer service company can’t show empathy then it’s not a place to spend money like that.
Our entire group enjoyed Virago for dinner. The food was delicious and creative, and the servers were attentive and helpful. However, it did feel a bit over-priced - not uncommon for this part of town, though.
Amazing ambience and service by Claire was outstanding. The food was delicious!!
I used to come to Virago 4 years ago before I moved out of town, and absolutely loved it. I was in Nashville for a conference and went back with family. I was disappointed. The service was slow. The rolls were way too small for the price. I likely will not return when I come back to Nashville and I'm pretty sure my family who still live there will not either. Which is a shame.
Great place to eat, best sushi I’ve had in Nashville and vegetarian friendly as well. I will be back!
We had high hopes, having been recommended by our foodie-like-us son, but we were underwhelmed. Overall, the sushi was unimaginative in taste and flavor, so much so, that at one point it was impossible for me to distinguish between the dynamite roll and a different one (See! Nothing positively memorable.) When I questioned the waiter, because of ingredients, he had to bend down to examine the interior. The manager came over to add that what’s listed isn’t always accurate. Absurd! (To her credit she didn’t charge us for that roll)The highly touted wagyu slices were chewy, and my husband had to spit out two pieces. The sake selection IS noteworthy. And the wasabi martini was quite tasty. I see no reason to return here.
Food was incredible and our server Cassidy was great and made our night out so much fun!
I’ve travelled to Japan over 30 times in the past few decades. Tried lots of the cuisines.
This was among the Best Japanese meals I’ve had in the US. Many unique offerings. Try the chicken yakitori, beef tatami and stone grilled Wagyu beef. Lobster shots and V2 edamame were great appetizers. Michu for dessert is fabulous. Quality of shashimi was exemplary.
Service was fantastic. Don’t miss this restaurant when in Nashville.
We enjoyed the recommendations of our waiter, for a shareable meal. We tried several sushi items and loved the Bomb and the sugar snap peas! Great food and great service from a personable waiter.
The food was great! I think overall it was over priced for a little roll
Food was inedible.
Richard is as awesome!
Food was pretty good, probably more expensive than what it was worth. Nothing extraordinary, nice for a date night but wouldn’t hurry back.
Everything was great , but ..... we were upset they took out fav items off menu ! They’ve changed menu !
Thank goodness our waitress was terrific otherwise the rating here would have been brutal! Doesnt matter how good the food may have been the hostess and servers really set the tone and in this case the hostesses were not efficient or effective in their roles.
The restaurant itself was super cute and nice! The hostess at the front desk was quite rude and
Steven was a great server! We had fresh wasabi and hot hot sake. Lovely night!
Great sushi rolls ! The quality of ingredients is excellent. My favorite was the rainbow box and the equator. Both very unique in their own way
One of our favorite restaurants! We went all out for our anniversary this time. The Lavendula drinks were putnof this world if you like tart taste! We also had the ninja bacon, sake steamed brussels, stone steak, and tanto roll. All of it was perfect and flavorful!
Wonderful wait staff.
Very good food and we had a little of everything.
We came here on vacation and it was excellent!
TRUFFLE FUTOMAKI was outstanding
RAINBOW POKE TOSTADOS
Note to mention the great bottle of Fuastino
I Grand Reserva 2005.
Service was great , our server did a great job.
Wonderful service and a great blend of flavors. The Shishito Peppers were awesome as was the zucchini.
