Virago was an absolutely pleasure! Our server, Sam, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and answered a number of questions we had during our dining experience. He also made excellent suggestions and did an awesome job timing our courses so we were never swimming in plates or sitting at an empty table.
The food was TO DIE FOR! Definitely go for the curated/constructed sushi plates (that albacoreeeeeee) and the lobster shots, tempura snap peas, and V2 edamame were absolutely delicious.
Great time, great food, great service, great experience! We loved everything about this meal and will be back!
With my daughter on college visit. The rolls were very creative; artistic presentation and sensational flavors. Among the best sushi I have ever tasted, particularly because it was so different from typical offerings yet still delicious. Bravo!
Food was great...took sometime to get a couple things out but overall experience was great.
Had a wonderful time! Service was outstanding and every bite was excellent!
Was a great meal after seeing a show. Sushi is very good, the cocktails were excellent, and the entrees were outstanding. Rock shrimp was best of the evening.
The food was outstanding! Service was excellent! Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Helped us clarify menu items we where unsure of.
My date and I were more than pleased with everything that night; from the atmosphere to the cuisine to the service. We look forward to coming back our next trip to Nashville.
Very fresh sashimi, and other interesting dishes. Not cheap, but good value.
Simply the freshest sushi available. Menu a bit confusing, but our waiter was great explaining everything.
The ambiance was great. The fish and meats were good (for example the wagyu tataki and hamachi), but some of the other dishes (such as the shishito peppers and Brussels sprouts) were very very greasy. We were expecting smaller servings for the appetizers, but they’re actually large for two people. I wish the waiter had warned us when we were ordering so that we would have adjusted our order, because we ended up with lots of food. Waiter could have done a better job in guiding us through menu because we were very clear it was our first time at Virago’s. The drinks were good. Their sushi was fine. Overall the experience was just alright. When comparing Virago to other restaurants of similar offerings, I felt that Two Ten Jack in East Nashville was far superior.
