Great place for kids as they have a fun kids' play area. If you're there with a little one they seat you by the play area so you can watch over your child while you eat! The service has always been good and they have a great menu.

One of the three servers was actually pleasant. One who was that manager was a jerk and was very short with us. The other male server was snarky as well. The female server was very pleasant. The food was ok. I don't know if I'll go back.

Great meal and of course the kids loved the play area and kids menu. We were a little long getting seated (even though we had a reservation) but I understand it was a busy night and that's how it goes in the restaurant business. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, helpful and efficient and the food was delicious. I especially loved the dolmas and the red pepper dip.

One persnickety little things: I like my Ouzo room temperature, no ice, and it was served in a rock glass with ice - not what I expected!

Overall, we had a great meal, great food, great service, so 4.5 stars out of 5 is my rating for Vios! We definitely plan to return.

A group of friends visited a friend who lives on Capitol Hill & ate lunch at Vios. It was great food, & for me brought back my experiences while visiting Greece & the great food I had while traveling. Vios is a great find on Capitol Hill. Our waiter was personable & fun.

We chose to sit outside because when we walked in the restaurant for our reservation, all we could hear was the sound of children screaming. It turned out there was only one table occupied – by some parents and their children who were playing in and around the play area. Does a restaurant really need a play Area? So we sat outside at a sidewalk table. A male waiter recited the specials-while sitting on them adjacent table. Offputting!

Great food as always at this lovely neighborhood spot. Fabulous place for the adults in our group to enjoy some wine and delish food while my 2 year old niece enjoyed playing in the designated kid play area in the restaurant. we will be back.

We have been there a couple times. The staff is rude and arrogant. When I use open table to make a reservation they do not respect it and give me preference over walk ups at the same time. They make me wait as though I did not have a reservation. My date found 2 pieces of PLASTIC in her water glass. When that was called to the server Diana's attention, she did not care. No apology or accommodation was offered.

I told the waiter of my food allergy before I ordered. He assured me that I would be fine with my order. After we had the appetizers, he came to tell me that my main course had the ingredient that I just ate in the appetizer!! Luckily, I am not anaphylactic but just broke out in hives!!! The chicken was also very dry. I really would not recommend this restaurant if you have any food allergies. I have never encountered this problem anywhere else as the servers have been very respectful and careful.

We love coming here. Food is great and the play area is perfect for our toddler. Tables without kids won't even know they are there since the play area is in the corner.

This was my second time at Vios for brunch. The breakfasts are great. Can't speak to anything else. The service is attentive and fast. This time was Mother's Day and moms got free mimosas.
A very nice touch!

Very casual, neighborhood cafe. It is very family friendly with a kids area, but a couple can sit away from it to enjoy an adult evening out. They have a varied menu with small and large plates. The food is simple and good.

We had a party of seven and the food and service was wonderful. The triple platter appetizer with pita, hummus, tzatsiki, tapenade was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we were able to talk easily around a family sized table and feel like we were sitting next to each other.

The menu at Vios—no matter what time of day you visit—is going to give you a headache because EVERYTHING looks and sounds so good. And it is: I have never had a meal there that wasn't outstanding. The spacious and well stocked play space keeps kiddos entertained so you can have an actual conversation with your dining companions. The servers at Vios are all super friendly and generous with their time, with extra attention to meeting the needs of a family (e.g. watering down the juice, serving the kids' food as soon as it's available). It's very evident that owner Tomas has put his heart and soul into creating this offering where people can celebrate life over a meal, even with kids in tow.

We eat breakfast at Vios, checking in at least once a month with our grownup daughters. Last weekend we shared breakfast there with visiting Idaho relatives, in clouding Lilly, age six, and Emi, age 3. Everyone loved their meal and the little girls thought it was pretty cool to be able to play with other kids while he boring grow ups talked. we think Vios' Bennidict might be the best in town, and the BLAT Sandwich is amazing, especially when they have tomato jam. The staff is welcoming and we feel like they are family too.

This restaurant is always busy. I had been there without a reservation in the past, and the wait was usually more than 45 minutes. So this time, I made a reservation and showed up right on time. Well, we still had to wait for over 30 minutes until our table was available. It was very disappointing especially because we had a hungry 3 year old with us. The service and food were good as usual, but the overall experience was soured a little because of the long wait at the beginning. That is even with the reservation!

Vio's has become a favorite for my husband and me. It's a little neighborhood joint that does food like a foodie chef owned restaurant would (perfectly seasoned & executed). They bring traditional favorites and combine them with innovative dishes that have the flavors of the mediterranean presented in new and exciting ways. I have never had a bad meal here (and we come weekly). The people here are wonderful! This is a family friendly restaurant. I've never been here when there were not tables filled with children and families. The vibe is fun, the food delicious and the service outstanding. They also have amazing platters and take-out for your next party or meal at home.
