Vintro Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
Food was outstanding. We ordered the "mac&cheese" -excellent, 5 leaf salad, chicken, and the catch of the day special. Could have done without the salad although it was very good. Veggies w entrees were very good, chicken was superb and fish very good. Goat cheese cake and berries for dessert! Reasonable prices.
I forget what day of the week it was but, based on the glowing reviews on Open Table, I honestly thought we'd be lucky to snatch a reservation at this fine restaurant.
Much to our delight -- and surprise, equaled with a creeping sense of horror -- the place was virtually empty. Why? Were the reviews wrong? Had it changed management, or kitchen staffs? Had budget conscious owners fired a good chef to increase the bottom line? Wrong on all counts.
This place is a hidden gem, tucked away in a hotel you wouldn't know existed unless you accidentally booked a room there.
Everything we ordered was great -- the grilled octopus, the Greek salad and the seared scallops alone are reason enough for a return visit. My son, the picky eater, was hesitant about sampling his orzo mac and goat cheese, and I really can't say how it tasted because he practically licked the plate after he had his first bite. Even the brussel sprouts -- the brussel sprouts!!! such a yucky veggie -- were terrific.
And the service was equal or better than the meal... we practically invited the guy to sit with us, and tell us about the restaurant and the food preparation. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly (but not over the top), in short, professional, everything great service should be. Too bad I can't remember the server's name, but in the interest of giving credit where credit is due, it said "Benedett" at the top of my cc charge slip.
All in all, a fantastic meal, and great service... which is where the other side of the "creeping sense of horror" comes in. How long will this hidden gem survive?
Too bad there's no rating for "Very, Very, Very Good" as the food and service at Vintro are just shade short of Excellent, a whole lot better than many better known and more expensive establishments.
Our server was a doll. Super nice and very knowledgeable. The food was delicious. The shrimp was a great value, but it was abbot over done. This was a great little hide away from the main stripe and it was quite, cool and good food and cocktails. If you want a low key good night this place fits the bill.
We stayed at the Vintro and decided to try its restaurant. Very good food. The brussel sprouts were some of the best I have ever had - as good as those at Pubbelly. We would gladly return to eat there. Nice art deco hotel as well, but the pool is comical - it's the size of a hot tub.
I am from Chicago and booked this restaurant before I left. I went on a Monday night with my husband and it was quiet. The food was good. My only wish is that the waiter was more helpful and knew the menu a little better. Trying new places, I always like to try what is the best on the menu while trying something new. It was not busy and he was the only waiter. It was a nice dinner, but nothing spectacular.
We often trust Trip Adviser for finding good restaurants, when traveling, and up until now , with success. How this ended up rated as one of the top restaurants in Miami Beach is a mystery. This wasn't just a case of an off night - everything was horrible right from the moment we arrived. The space is seedy and tired. The few diners that were there seemed to be guest of the hotel that housed the restaurant.
Every thing was poorly prepared. I won't bother going into specifics. Not worth the time.
This is a place to avoid.
The food was just ok, nothing particularly amazing or exciting, but nothing was really bad either. Definitely not anything I would go out of my way for, and you can absolutely find better restaurants in Miami. The server was excellent though, I can't recall his name but he did a great job with the menu and was really friendly, the whole table loved him.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! It was a Tuesday night and this spot is a bit off the beaten path, so it was relatively empty. It was nice to not be just packed into a place. I imagine it gets fuller on Fridays and Saturdays but still worth it!
5-star food, laid back atmosphere, perfect service.
We came here during our weekend in Miami Beach, looking for something a little more off the beaten path than the other restaurants we had been to.
Success-the food was absolutely wonderful, the server was attentive and charming, and the laid back vibe gave us a chance to sink into our seats and savor it all. This meal was a highlight of our trip!
We booked Vintro Kitchen based on TripAdvisor Reviews and were NOT disappointed. We specifically looking for a menu with a good selection of vegetarian options and they definitely did satisfy that need. The food was excellent, the service exceptional. Definitely fit for foodies; or people who just like experimenting with different flavor profiles. Not boring by any means! Portion size good. We will be back for sure.
Looking for a quiet and tasty dinner on the last day of our Miami Beach vacation, we found this through reviews. We were not disappointed. The fresh catch-of-the-day was a whole hog snapper, which was more than the two of us could eat after a delicious Cheese and Charcuterie Platter. Fire roasted brussel sprouts were good too. Outside seating was pleasant and comfortable.
Vintro was recommended to me by a friend and I am so pleased with the experience we enjoyed at this real gem of a restaurant. Sincere, attentive service, outstanding food and great wine pairing by our server. I will definitely be returning. The atmosphere is warm and romantic with an intimate feel, inviting one to relax and linger and a low noise level allowing for easy conversation. Lovely decor and a friendly greeting at the host station.
There was no hostess and the restaurant was pretty empty. The server was not welcoming and seemed annoyed that we did not order a bottle of wine. He did not know the full beer list and had to read the specials off the board. The octopus was fairly chewy and our salad was pretty basic for $12, lettuce, red cabbage and a sherry dressing. We did not order anything else because the place seemed off.
We went on a Saturday night at 8pm and there were 3 tables in total, very quiet place. Service was very attentive, they offered us a Limoncello on the house, but the place was so quiet that we got tired very quickly. The food was OK, had the croquetas, they were fine, meatballs were good, chocolate dessert was regular. Cocktails were ok.
