                            Vintner Grill has been my favorite Vegas restaurant for almost 20 years. I have celebrated many important days here and last night was for my birthday. From the moment we walked in the door we were in great hands. The service was wonderful and the food was delicious as usual. I crave their Bouillabaisse so I ordered that in addition to the grilled artichoke starter which was perfection. They brought out a celebratory tiramisu for my birthday which was also delicious and a very nice way to end our meal. Our server Jeff was friendly and a great communicator. You can tell he takes pride in his job by the way he takes care of his guests. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal as I have never (in 20 years!) had a bad one. Thank you VG for making my birthday so special!

                            So 1st of all - I love Vintner Grill - it’s delicious and usually the service is really great - sadly yesterday wasn’t up to its usual standards. Everything started off great - we ordered Calamari and it was as delicious as always - but then there was a huge delay in being able to put in the the entree order. Once in the entrees came right when you would expect it too. We ordered a 2nd glass of wine and I think they forgot to bring it as this was greatly delayed. We enjoyed the Halibut and the Sea Bass - they were both delicious - as always! Then another enormous delay we actually thought about just skipping dessert and coffee but we ordered both anyway. The dessert came - but no espresso or cappuccino. We finished the dessert and waited and waited - the check came and I just decided we would skip the coffee - but the bill came and we were billed $10 for the double espresso and $8 for the cappuccino. So when the server came back over I mentioned this and he apologized and said they would bring it right out…. We’ll at this point I just figured that it would probably take as much time to fix the bill or get the coffee - he left the table immediately as I’m sure he didn’t want to have to adjust the bill. After a long wait (it seemed that way - I’m sure it wasn’t but by this time I was a bit annoyed at the overall serivce. So a cappuccino came back to the table and an incredibly tiny (it had to just be a single) espresso with a stained cup and saucer - obviously a big spill happened on the way back to the table or in the making. The espresso was so sloppy in presentation. Anyway - the food was great, the atmosphere is as great as always - but this time around the service just wasn’t there.

                            I love this restaurant and everything about it. We've been coming here ever since opening day. I still remember my order form my first time. Diver scallops with spring peas. I woke up the next day dreaming about them. From the hostess to the corner booth table, waiter and waiter assistant, food runner to the Summerlin clientele, my husband and I are always made to feel like stars every time we visit. Thank you for a wonderful date night. ~John & Chris ps I loved my mocktail the waiter suggested.

                            Generally, we love this place, but this past week things definitely slipped a few notches. Our waiter was difficult to find, to the point where I went to the bar to order my own glass of wine. My wife split the chicken entree with a friend and both agreed it was not up to standard; the same with the macaroni and cheese accompaniment. We have had the chicken many times in the past but it appears they may have changed the recipe. The remainder of the dishes (salmon and lamb boulinaise) were perfect. I noticed that the wait staff is less professional than in years past, though our best service came from a “busboy” who was someone we could find to help us. Probably should have tipped him and the bartender and not the waiter.
