Vintana Wine & Dine Ratings and Reviews
We went for brunch, and had a wonderful time. Our server, Jillian, was personable and on point with her table visits. We never had a "...but wait..." moment. You know when the server does a drive by, but doesn't actually ask if you need anything? Nope. Not from Jillian. She was attentive, but gave us space to catch up with one another. Perfect! The food was delicious! We tried the lobster grilled cheese (the hint of lemon in the mascarpone was perfect), crab hash, pork belly benedict, and chicken salad with togarashi pecans. We left full and very happy. Plus: bottomless mimosas!
Took out of town guests and they were amazed by the location over the Lexus dealer. The food was wonderful and if you get the correct table, the view of the mountains us very nice. The salmon salad for lunch is always excellent. The waiter was very friendly and helpful in making food choices.
The food and service were excellent. I noticed that the diners were spread throughout the facility, thus keeping the noise level down. I really appreciated that, since I usually have a hard time hearing my dinner partner. It was a very enjoyable evening. Thank you!
First off we are foodies; we take our dining experiences seriously and have visited many San Diego restaurant venues. "Vintana's" is fine dining done right. Attentive, friendly knowledge staff; good open air type dinning room, high vaulted ceilings with an open fire pit area. Great culinary choices, with an extensive wine, vodka and other spirits menu. Upscale but not unreasonably priced. Pleasant atmosphere with panoramic views. Highly recommend for all occasions, specially when you want to "try something new".
Unusual location but it works!! The is on top of the Lexus Dealership in Escondido which seems like it would not work. But it is great. It is a great atmosphere with wonderful food selection. It has a large lively bar area and out door patio. You are not just looking at beautiful new cars but also the hills and mountains of East County.
We had drinks in the open-air patio area. No wait staff for this. You had to get your own drinks. Waiting 5-10 minutes at the front of the line at the bar dampened the experience.
Once inside the restaurant, everything was great. Service, food and ambiance were superb. The inside service made us change our rating from a 3 star to a 4 star evening.
Their valet could improve.
Their service could improve
One night they told my wife and I they had problems and we sat their for waiting for our our order we had placed for one hour from the
time we ordered
We finally left to eat somewhere
They said we are sorry but
we had serveral mishaps
The service has definitely changed
since the date they 1st opened
It was an awesome place to
go when it first opened, but it appears there’s an
new owner or something since
it is nowhere since opening
For the price we pay compared
to Ruth Chris or somewhere
I will more likely be going
to Ruth Chris to get an expanded
Memu and drive a little lot
It was never this way
Same memu all the time and limited
I do not paying a top dollar but
With their limited menu and service across the board I
will be going elsewhere with
my customers and with my
Wife in the future
Why not go to Ruth Chris since
we are paying price within
I believe they will fade in the
future across the board
O no they will get the few locals
that do not know any better
since it is still the nicer place in
Good Luck and I hope it improves
Since I have been a great fan
Goes to show you some things
Do not last for every !!
Take care !!

Vintana is my wife’s FAVORITE RESTAURANT in the San Diego area. The food is always thoughtfully prepared and innovative. The room is open, but welcoming. Our server BEVERLY C was MAGNIFICENT!! She had a full house (Friday eve at 7 pm), but never missed a beat
Table was ready right away (had reservation). Everything went smoothly. Popover bread is so fluffy and yummy. Our server was happy to make substitutions with the bacon wrapped filet (due to garlic/onion aversion). Skirts on fire, delicious as usual. Nice evening.
Another ladies lunch at Vintana. Lobster grilled cheese is a favorite. You can get a free car wash if you have a Lexus. Max, our waiter was entertaining, pleasant and quite accommodating. We love that Cohn Restaurants take Passport cards. I was also able to use an Open Table, point generated $10 gift certificate! Such a treat!
Service was very slow. It was only 2 of us and it took 20 minutes for someone to take our drink order and then 2.5 hours later before we had dessert. We had last table facing back kitchen area (very ugly). Waiter was more interested in serving bigger tables. They all left before us. It was my bF's birthday and it was never mentioned after I had informed restaurant. So..overall..not impressed at all for a $200 meal.
It was our 41st anniversary and we had a lovely evening with friends. Food was terrific! The only less that pleasant part of the evening was that we had three different waiters! The first two were terrific. The last one seemed like she was in a big hurry, like we were in a diner or something!
We have dined at Vintana Wine & Dine many time's including functions, Holiday Parties and just recently for a Saturday Lunch. The ambience throughout Vintana is a WOW!! Further complimented by the near 180 degree mountain views through the wall of Windows. We dined in the dining room in a cozy booth. Colin, our Waiter was professional, friendly and provided extraordinary service. My husband had the Crab Hash with scrambled eggs..he Loved it. I had the Salmon Salad, delicious!! We highly recommend Vintana Wine & Dine for any occasion!!
I am a regular at Vintana's. It was so wonderful to see Leslie Cohn helping with seating her guests. The reason for the one star on the food, The recipe has changed for the "Skirt of Fire Salad". So disappointing. For the price, the value and the presentation were awful. I would have loved to have the meal for lunch the same as the dinner menu. Service was extremely friendly but slow for not having a full restaurant. It seemed they had enough staff in the FOH. Maybe the kitchen staff was shorthanded. Will be back only for dinner, unless they bring back the original recipe for the salad.
