A great lunch spot for time with friends.
Good selection from the menus and an expansive wine list.
Curious view of the Lexus dealership but a nice fountain and distant mountain views too.
Great hidden gem in Escondido
All of your hostesses were friendly and helpful. Our food was great but our waiter never bothered to check on us until bill time. We had to ask others to refill our water and apparently our waiter did not feel the need to ask if we’d care for a second cocktail. Very disappointing.
Sea bass was delicious. So many different flavors on one plate. Service was excellent. A great experience although I didn't care for the multiple announcements about the 3% surcharge to cover increased minimum wage. Seems like that should just be built into the food cost. The political posturing is unnecessary.
Yet another fabulous lunch at Vintana's with my lady friends. Steve, our waiter was on top of everything and two hours of celebrating our friend's 65th birthday vanished in a flash. We ALL had the Salmon Caesar Salad. Looking forward to our next get together.
They have a great happy hour from 4-6. Our reservation was for 6, so we went early and had appetizers and a few drinks. Service in the bar was a little slow, but it was a busy happy hour. Our table service was fantastic. The food was beautiful and delicious. We will definitely be back there again
Even with a date mix up the staff addressed the problem and had us seated within 15 minutes of arrival. The serving staff was knowledgeable and courteous with a sense of humor .
My bowl of soup was microscopic for the price. BUT everything we have had at Vintanas taste wise is excellent. The popovers are to die for!
This place has never ever disappointed us, the service is one of the best you'll fine as well as the great selections on their menu.
Birthday dinner for Mom!! We loved it! Can’t wait to come back!
The most wonderful experience! The staff gave us an amazing seating location in the restaurant, and they gave us a card for our anniversary. Would love to go again soon!
We met two other couples for dinner. Very interesting location above a Lexus dealership. Seems odd but it actually adds to the impression of luxury. Food and service were very good. Enough variety on the menu that everyone could find something to their selective tastes. Wine list very extensive. Ambient noise low enough to be able to have a normal conversation. Nice view of the hills from every table.
We had a wonderful meal and as usual the service was impeccable!
Outstanding service. The waitstaff was attentive. Great food.
One of my favorite Cohn Restaurants. Ordered the Lobster mac-n-cheese! Delicious, not much lobster chunks like I've had before but it will do for now. I also ordered bloody mary. I was not impressed it was watered down with ice, no kick to it, only had celery stick but no other garnishments which usually is topped off for blood mary. Next day I dined at another Cohn restaurant at C-Level and ordered a bloody mary, I explained to my server that the one at Vintana's was not to my liking, our server was nice enough to ask if I wanted to add crab and shrimp to the bloody mary along with the garnishments, stuffed olive, pepperoncini & celery stick...now that was a bloody mary! Quite yummy! Vintana's needs to make the bloody Mary's or offer like the one I had at C-Level.
Always a special place to enjoy a lovely meal and view. Everything was wonderful, service great, and the portions perfect! Pricey, but worth it.
The service was sub par, we were very disappointed. The food was ok but not exceptional as I would expect for the money. The assistant server was more genuine and warm than the server himself. We will not return.
This was our 3rd time to Vintana, & probably our last. The food was really just mediocre, but the service & ambiance was top-notch. For this pricey a menu, we really expect 1st class food-like their 333 restaurant has in Oceanside. In the future, we will go to 333 and skip Vintana.
Unusual location on top of a car dealership - but once you're inside, what a beautiful venue! Many options - a vibrant bar scene, private rooms for functions, a wine store and a beautiful white tablecloth restaurant.
We ate there pre-theater. To make a 7:30 show we were told to be at the restaurant at 5 PM. When we arrived, the main restaurant was fairly empty and we received excellent attention. As the meal progressed and the tables began to fill, it was hard to find anyone to ask for anything and after our starters, we were surprised it took so long for our entrees. We had to find our server to ask for the check so we could leave on time.
The food was competent and the portions ample - especially for the prices charged, but none of our party were "wowed" by what they received. We love the CRG but found Vintana to be a bit formulaic. Given the prices charged, we feel there is much better food and food values elsewhere.
We also informed the restaurant that it was a special birthday dinner and would have hoped for at least some acknowledgement (it wouldn't have hurt for the hostess or server to say, Happy Birthday) let alone a complimentary dessert for a $200 meal.
Excellent service , enjoyed the food. Would like to try it for Sunday brunch
Very good ambiance and enjoyed the outside views(even though it was at night). The server really knew the menu and had good recommendations on the food and everything else.
Will highly recommend to anyone and everyone
Good food great service
Fabulous on all levels; staff beyond capable, attentive and lmeasant.
The food was great. The service was great. The ambiance was great. The total experience was GREAT!!
We have loved going to Vintana over years to celebrate multiple occasions, and this one was for our 11th wedding anniversary. We arrived, valet'd the car and took the awesome glass elevator to the hostess, who found our OT reservation and seated us almost immediately. It was very cool because they seated us in the second tier booths, which overlook the whole dining area. I joked with my wife that it felt like we were on display. Anyway, our server arrived within minutes and introduced himself as Dante, who was very pleasant and personable throughout the entire evening, chatting us up about living in the Bay Area and whatnot. We ordered a bottle of wine, and they brought out their signature popovers, which never fail. We ordered a starter, spicy calamari, which unfortunately was not totally up to its normal excellence. (the batter was a little soggy from the sauce, not its usual crispiness). Then we both ordered steaks, I believe my wife ordered the filet, and I ordered the bone-in ribeye. (my usual order, and I've had it here many times). Dante asked us both what temp we'd like them cooked at, my wife MEDIUM-well, and I asked Dante if the ribeye was a thick cut because that will determine the temp I like, medium on the rarish side, red line in the middle. He said it was pretty thick, so I said medium. Well, when we finally received our dinner, the first thing I noticed is that the ribeye was maybe half an inch thick, and cooked to a medium-WELL. My wife received a WELL-done filet. The presentation was perfect, however, both steaks were pretty dry. This has been my experience probably the last 3 times with their ribeye, albeit the steak was a little thicker before. It's gotten thinner and thinner as the years go by. The first few times I've ordered the ribeye, it was over an inch thick, and cooked to perfection. At 50 bucks a pop for those dinners, I expected a little more, besides the fact it was our Anniversary...Don't know if we'll be returning.
Food is expensive for what you get and is topped-off with the restaurant adding a 3% surcharge!!!!
Splendid food, service, beautiful place. We go often.
Amazing food! great service. My friends and had a great time. We will be back again.
We always go here for our anniversary and service is always great. We had Rick as our server two times now and we love him!!! Great food, drinks and dessert.
Very good food
Good experience with usual great service
It's always a great place to dine. The food and service is always very good. The atmosphere and ambience is pleasant and you can have an easy conversation in a quiet setting.
Great experience-service and food perfect!
Unique concept of fine restaurant a top of a car dealership. Great ambiance. I wasn't impressed by the menu though. Food was ok and service good. The bar should be great for happy hour. Have to come back for the live music al fresco, so I heard. The view of the 15 freeway was actually good.
Always enjoy the Cohn restaurants. Vintana's is local for me and I always like meeting up with my sons, my girlfriends for happy hour, lunch, dinner just so we can catch up. Also it's so nice that they take the Passport, so it helps with cost buy one get one entree free. This day I met up with a dear girlfriend, it was nice to catch up, enjoy lunch and great conversation. I had the lobster grilled cheese! Delicious. I was quite surprised that it came with onion rings. I thought it had arugula salad but that's ok, the lobster grilled salad was fine. My friend had the fish and chips with coleslaw, always a hit!
We have eaten at Vintana on 3 occasions as well as eating on the Lanai. This is the first time we have not enjoyed the experience.
It was extremely noisy . I think they have a night club there and the bass was booming and you couldn't hear conversation.
Then our server although he was pleasant , he had so many tables he couldn't be attentive. My husband waited at least 10 minutes for a second glass of wine.
I had indicated that we were celebrating both of our birthdays which are only a week apart. That was never mentioned or acknowledged in any way.
The food was only fair. Nothing I would feel I just had to go back for.
All in all...a very disappointing night out to celebrate our special occasion.
Great place, good food, good staff! My data and I really enjoyed our visit. Excellent Experience!
This place is well worth the slightly pricier cost. The view and ambience is amazing. The service goes above and beyond. You leave this place feeling like you've been to the best of the best.
We have dined here before and we’re looking forward to a lovely dinner with friends.
Had reservations and waited in the bar for our table for too long. Bar waiter too busy to service us properly. Had to go directly to the bar to correct a wrong drink order and our waiter still did not return before we went to our table.
Food service ok, but he was too busy to give us the attention we needed.
Food ( Cioppino ) seafood was not fresh and texture was that of previously frozen.
Veggie salad was not as portraided.
Manäger was gracious to accommodate our comments and this was very professional.
I just believe the restaurant could not accommodate the volume of people.
Would not be eager to drive there from our location again anytime soon.
Upscale dining with a nice view! Always a special experience dining at Vintana.
