The food was not what it used to be. You expect to pay more for all you get, but the food wasn't great. I got three bites of soup and one of them was bad. The salad was bla... So not what I'm used to from the cohen group. I was at Coastera two days prior and had a similar experience... What's going on guys...???

Very nice evening!
I had an issue with bad service awhile back, and contacted the manager Greg to address the issue.
Greg exceeded my expectations in his handling of the situation. He showed class and I felt as if I had been heard!
We need more managers like this.
We had a lovely evening and great dinner!

The service received 4 stars from me because of how they handled the mistakes that were made. Our meat was not cooked correctly and we had some issues with receiving drinks, however once brought to their attention the team really worked to make it right. Upon our arrival we receive a bit of special attention as to celebrate our 25 Th wedding anniversary which was a nice touch. I would happily return and recommend them to others

The food was average and was cold. the server was un-attentive and was trying to be a comic instead of seeing to our needs. tables seated after us had drinks and bread. we had to ask for bread. the broccoli soup was great but I had to wait for a spoon so it got cold. we were disappointed because the first time we visited the restaurant we had great service and the food was excellent. We picked this restaurant for my granddaughters graduation because of our first experience and we regret it.

We love Vintana and have been dining there since their 1st week of business. Unfortunately our favorite server was not there, and it's a bummer because the service is often lacking at this restaurant. We were starving, and we ordered dinner right away, and or server said that bread was on its way (it's popovers actually). She stopped by again and expressed it was strange that we didn't have bread yet and she would check on it. Meanwhile ice water was brought to us, drinks brought to us and...finally, bread! And right behind it...dinner! Restaurant service 101...the bread comes out right away. We did try new menu items and although the short ribs were very good, the new pork chop was a bit bland. We will be back, but we will be looking for our girl, AJ.

Service and view both great. Disappointing meal. Food very lackluster. Farmer's Market Greens consisted of a few salad leaves (really few) mixed with cranberries, blue cheese and hard crusted pistachios. I had requested chicken be added, but it was dry and over spiced. Popover was good.

I expect better from a Cohn restaurant and from Chef Debra Scott.

Bartenders and waiter were great! Friendly, efficient and made our cocktails in bar first and dinner in booth in dining room a fun experience. Wish the patio would have been open, but too hot outside.

Went for Fathers Day Had a nice table for two, right next to a large family of 7 , which took up all of the servers time and attention. We weren't in much of a hurry so it really didn't matter. except the sound level of a large party made it difficult to communicate with my wife.
Also the staff seemed to be in a hurry to serve us when they did addressed our needs.
We had to reorder our sparkling water before it was served, we shared crispy artichokes which were delicious as was the puffed bread and honey pepper butter. then it crashed from there.
My wife ordered the stuffed Chicken Brest that arrived over cooked and dry, I ordered the Coconut Crusted Sea Bass and it arrived Raw and I had to send it back. My wife should have sent her dish back as well. The Kitchen re-fired it and served it another 20 minuets later. The Kitchen did apologize but that's as far as it went. Needless to say, we didn't partake in any deserts.
Would I go back? don't really know. as of now don't hold your breath.

The overall food quality and service at Island Prime, sister restaurant, is much better. The menus are the same but I would recommend Island Prime over Vintana.

My wife and I were very excited to try out Vintana on a date night away from our kids. We grabbed a quick drink on the outside patio before being seated. The scene and menu on the patio were appealing but we already had our table reservation for the inside. Our crispy artichoke appetizer and bread very very tasty. Our entrees Skirts on Fire and Crusted Sea Bass both appeared to have died in the window. Food was not hot. Black beans were crunchy and flavorless. I would have told our server about our lackluster food but he never checked with us to see how our meal was. He was only interested in selling us a dessert. I waited tables for quite some time and was very disappointed to see a server in a high end restaurant be so inefficient. A server should be able to make several stops around his/her station before returning to the server station. I am not naming him because I think that would be unfair and maybe he had an off night. The only time we were asked how our meal was was from the Valet on the way out of the restaurant. Had much higher expectations for this place unfortunately and am very unlikely to return.

Very good food, service, and atmosphere. Only quibble was that at a couple points near the end of dinner the service seemed like they were moving a little too fast, biased towards turning the table, rather than provide a relaxed experience end-to-end.

The quality of the food was not as good as other times in the past. The "skirts on fire" steak was VERY tough and the plate was mostly black beans with very little salad under the meat. The fish on another entree was over cooked with hardly any flavor. The service remains excellent but the food needs to return to the stsndards of when the restaurant first opened. We have been there many times but I don't think we'll be going back soon.

We had never been to Vintana before, though we'd heard it advertised on the radio. We were meeting a friend from North County for dinner and we all decided that it was a good choice. The cocktail menu was good, unfortunately the best part of the evening. There is a half-page list of vodkas, but no suggestions on what to do with them. Get a flight? Chilled? Make a martini? No suggestions or options.

The menu is very limited. Our shared-calamari appetizer was fine but unexceptional. The entree course really fell down. I had a skirt steak salad that had a lot of salad and not much skirt steak for nearly $30. My wife had short ribs that were tough and overcooked. Our friend had pasta with shrimp that looked like a 4th grader assembled it from box pasta and cold shrimp platter. That's disappointing enough, but the prices were top-flight. What's the opposite of value?

Needless to say, no need to return here again.

We had a delightful time celebrating my birthday. Two of our party were about 30 minutes late and the waiter was extremely pleasant and reassuring. We were not rushed at all and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and the ambiance was elegant but also relaxed and friendly. I would definitely go there again for a special occasion!

We have been there many times with no complaints. This time the bread was bad . Hollow shells a day old . Disappointing as we boasted about it to our friends prior to going . Our reservations were at 7:30 so not an unusual busy time yet the time between ordering and receiving was long .
Service was very good as usual .

Our food was very tasty and the table was beautiful by the window. Only problem was that it wasn't served hot. Could be the distance from the kitchen. The maitre de was most responsive as my husband did have to send his back because it was hardly tepid. Our filets were done the way we liked them but they weren't as hot as before and the potatoes and vegetables were hardly warm.
