   I am really, not sure what the staff here other than the servers is being trained on. My friends and I agree that over the last couple of years the restaurant has a snooty, unfriendly attitude. It is most certainly when you arrive to check in even with a reservation. Today there was not a large busy crowd at all, and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. And they’re snotty as well. We keep giving this restaurant another shot that we used to be the best restaurant in Escondido has deteriorated immensely

   The Mothers Day special dinner was a huge disappointment. Our server was very pleasant, but the service was not. There were 5 of us. The two that ordered steaks were served first, and they sat there waiting for 5-10 minutes for the other dishes. When they finally arrived, one of them was wrong, and that person had to wait another 5-8 minutes for her dish. As for the food, the amuse bouche was too sweet and slimy, the arancini bland, the salmon so-so, and the vegetarian lasagna overwhelmed with faux meat. We had been raving about Vintana, but were embarrassed by the evening’s shortcomings. The strawberry trifle was tasty but not great and the lime tart was completely tasteless. All in all, a major Mother’s Day letdown for $500+

   The entire experience was great except for the air conditioning. I hope today was a fluke and that you start using the AC going forward. It was hot in the restaurant!

   We’ve dined here a few times since Vintana first opened 12-13 years ago when the dealership was erected. Last year we dined at Vintana for Mother’s Day and we were pleased with everything. This time around not so much. Service: We had reservations and were seated within a couple of minutes upon arrival. Once seated, we waited 10-15 minutes until we saw our waiter. He seemed rushed and not cordial at all. He’s just there for the paycheck. When he came back with our drinks, he took our order. We never saw him much after that. The setting was poorly placed, and some utensils were missing or dirty. We didn’t have a steak knife to go with our steaks. Our dessert spoons had food crusted on them. The wine wasn’t properly aerated, at $17 a glass, ruins the experience alone. Food: The amuse-bouche was lacking flavor. The appetizer was my favorite part. It was the only thing I enjoyed. The filets weren’t cooked properly and were not warm/hot when brought to our table. The ube flan cake dessert-which I looked forward to the most was disappointing as well. Experience: The outdoor seating needed more fans to circulate the air and shade. My son was in the sun most of the time, we had to keep adjusting our table so that he wouldn’t get burned. When I asked an employee for new spoons, she was apathetic. Where did all the great employees go? Customer service was lacking. Most times at restaurants when the chef is having an off day, the wait staff can compensate for it just by providing excellent service— that didn’t happen this time around. We won’t be back for a while. The price we paid wasn’t worth the experience or food. There’s much better options at this price point.

   Went for Mother day. Was good overall food was something different and good! The restaurant where we were sitting was very warm! Was sad because we spent a lot of money and the restaurant was a little uncomfortable.

   We went on a Mothers Day. They had a set menu that was a wonderful selection of starters, entrees and desserts. Service was I guess understandably, being Mother's Day...slow! We were overcharged and asked that the automatic 5% surcharge be removed. When the server removed the overcharged items, they added the surcharge again. The food was incredible, the service and payment efficiency was not!!!

   As always, the food was amazing! And our waiter was wonderful, as they always are. Unfortunately, we did encounter a customer service issue with a hostess that was apparently having a bad day, and that's why we couldn't give our visit a 5-star rating this time. This was a rare encounter, since the hostesses are usually extremely accommodating. Dessert was exceptional!

    Very nice atmosphere and all of my meals were good. Unfortunately service was very slow waiting 30 minutes between appetizers and mains and eventually flagging down another parties waiter to get our check.
