Vintana Wine & Dine Ratings and Reviews
Vintana is fabulous! We dined there this past Wednesday to celebrate a birthday. It was our first time there and we were really taken aback by the terrific hospitality, the outstanding food and service and the concept itself. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The restaurant is gorgeous and elegantly decorated for the holidays. Our server, Cari, greated us immediately and brought us wine and our appetizer. The general manager stopped by to say hi and introduce himself. The place was hopping and it was so nice that he came over and wished my guy a happy birthday. Cari was very busy with a large party, but she never missed a beat and provided us with excellent service throughout our entire meal. Our entrees were just amazing. I was undecided and asked Cari for her recommendation. She highly recommended the Sea Bass. I have to say, this is not something I'd normally order, but decided to give it a shot and SO glad I did! It was delicious!!! My guy had the filet and is still raving about it. They even sent over a complimentary birthday desert! After dinner, we walked to the outside area that was buzzing with people, music and dancing. This is my new favorite place! It's a drive for us, but we are already planning our next visit. I highly recommend Vintana! It's an experience, not just a meal!
We had a delicious lunch and even though it was packed with Xmas parties, the service was wonderful. The manager even helped out in the parking lot as it was difficult to find a spot. Highly recommend for any occasion. There is even a large area if you just want to stop in for a drink.
I have been before and had a wonderful experience overall. This time, however, a couple issues that soured our lunch. I used revervations online, when our party arrived no one could find it. Luckily they took us as a walk in. ( I will not use this service in the future). Signs all indicate parking structure for the restaurant. We had to go all the way to the roof to find parking which was very limited. I could see quite a number of vehicles parked there clearly from the dealership not restaurant patrons.
We had a reservation, a window table which we got. However it took 15 minutes to get a glass of water. The service in general was very slow. Our server did nothing but show up for work. My diet soda was flat, even after mentioning that it was flat the second one was also flat, no carbonation. My food was warm not hot. It was disappointing! I would expect that a restaurant that adds an extra 3% to cover the cost of doing business to do an exceptional job to earn it, this was not the case. Our server did not seem not seem interested in us until she put the bill on th table. This was a lunch event with friends. I will think twice before I suggest Vintana again.
Our first return visit in a year. Overall a solid four-star rating with very minor complaints. The main course option on the small side, but presented well and left room for dessert. The waitress was busy and failed to ask about a second round of drinks or coffee after dinner.
The brussel sprouts are a must do here! We would have liked to do the Mac & Cheese, but would have been too filling.
We went to Vantana with some very special friends for my wife’s 75 Birthday we have been there several times and is one of our favorite places to eat. We have eaten at several of the Cohn restaurants.. After drinks and appetizers we ordered dinner. My wife ordered salmon and specified to Rick, who by the way was wonderful, that she didn’t want it over cooked. They agreed on medium rare. When her dinner came it was over cooked and dry. We mentioned it to Rick and he took her plate and said he would fix it. A few minutes later he brought a plate back with the salmon and some rice, not the side that was on the original dish and the fish was hardly cooked. I do all the cooking at our house and cook salmon for us quite often. It’s nit that difficult. Anyway, Rick came by to see how we were doing, we told him about my wife’s salmon dinner, he offered to take it back again but by that time the luster of the Birthday was pretty much gone. He did bring us a dessert that was on the house and mentioned that there would not be a charge for the salmon dish. He did all he could and if we would have been alone I would have asked to see the manager but since we were with friends I didn’t want to create a fuss so I let it go.
Overall a disappointment. It's an interesting space, and the waitstaff friendly - though busy. The food was so-so. For instance, the "crispy artichoke" was nothing more than a soggy canned heart covered by crumbs and deep fried (they did not charge me for this - to their credit), not the Roman style deep fried variety. Lobster bisque was nor more than a kind of tomato-y cream of lobster soup; no soul like a bisque. Other things were good but not outstanding. If you like to look at Lexus's, that's a plus.
Having dined at Vintana a number of times in the past, we were disappointed with the quality of food and presentation. It dropped a couple of notches. The food was uninspired, and not the creative, carefully prepared dishes we've had in the past. Ahi tuna stack had little tuna and heavy chopped bell peppers; artichoke hearts over battered, and the lobster mac and cheese (first dish was lukewarm, sent it back and then served hot) was skimpy on the lobster. Maybe Chef Deborah had the night off ... Won't be our first choice in the area any more.
I had really high hopes for Vintana and was excited to go, as I had been talking to my husband about going for about six months. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, we still had to wait a considerable time to get seated. My husband ordered soup to start, but it arrived without a spoon/any utensil to eat it with. After waiting and waiting for our server, we ended up flagging someone else down to ask for a spoon. My husband then ordered the crab cake hash, and after waiting about 10-15 mins, they came out and told us they didn’t have enough hash to make it. So he hesitantly ordered the brunch burger - which arrived without a knife to cut it with. Had to flag down someone else again to get one. After we were finished, we waited and waited for the check to arrive, so we had to flag down ANOTHER person to ask for it. Who brought out the wrong check, so we had to find our waitress again and ask for the correct one. Completely bummed about the entire experience.
This is one of our favorite restaurants and usually has great food and service. However, on 12/2/17 we had an absolutely terrible experience. There were 8 of us with 2 being out of town friends. First of all our waiter (Rick) took at least 10 minutes until he finally showed up at our table. He took drink orders including some requests for wine tastes. He returned with the drink order and tastes; then disappeared again. When he came back he took the drink orders for those who were initially given tastes. Eventually he returned with those drink orders too. He then said he was going to take drink orders at table that had just sat down just a few minutes ago. We protested and told him that we have now been seated over a 1/2 hour without any food other than the popovers. He stayed and took our appetizer orders along with main course selections. Appetizers were delivered correctly and fairly timely. When the salads arrived; two of them were incorrect and he had to re-order and bring them again. When the main courses arrived; one with an order of rare steak; was instead well done. Two out of the eight meals were not brought to the table until nearly 10 minutes after the first six; and one of those was inedible and sent back as was the well done steak. Fortunately the manager, Greg knew there were problems; apologized profusely; and offered not only a check adjustment; but also deserts and after dinner drinks on the house. I don't know if both Rick and the kitchen were having a bad day; or if all the problems with the kitchen were that Rick didn't order correctly. Thanks to Greg knowing what good service should be; the dinner ended on a good note and we will likely return. But just to be sure; any reservation we make in the future will state any server other than Rick.
Disappointed. Vintana’s menu is largely duplicative of C Level with different views. We went there for my birthday. We were seated quickly and the hostess and wait staff were attentive. I started with the shrimp cocktail and it was excellent. My wife had the wedge salad. Although it was a good sized dish, the vinegar in the blue cheese / oil & vinegar dressing was overwhelming. There was an unexplained lengthy delay between the starters and the entrees. My wife had the lobster twice baked potato and it was huge, more than anyone person could eat. Unfortunately however, the dish was not hot throughout. I had the skirts on fire which was one of my favorite dishes dating back to Kemosabe and C Level. Unfortunately the dish has been dramatically changed. Furthermore the meat was fatty, stringy and undercooked. I was only able to eat 1/4 before returning the dish. The restaurant did recognize my birthday and provided a chocolate pecan type dish which was extremely rich but good. Additionally I ordered a glass of wine and the pour was generous. We have enjoyed the Cohen restaurants in the past and will continue to do so. However, it will be a while before we give Vintana a second chance. This may have just been an off night, which can certainly happen.
Worst experience I’ve had at Vintana’s. I am a frequent guest and service was horrible. We had a 2:00 reservation so it was quiet after the lunch hour. Waitress was slow to acknowledge us, took forever to bring our wine and completely forgot to bring our water. We ordered at 2:10 and finally got our salads at 2:45. My chicken salad was dry and had lots of skin on it. I sent it back. We had to hunt down a bartender to pay our bill. Sorry, Cohn family. I expect better.
We've been going there since its opened an we're quite disappointed. Seems the quality has gone down. Our steaks were lacking flavor an the sauces. My husbands steak which was med rare was blackened on outside my steak a little bland my daughters was a med well done was way to under cooked. Food just wasn't what it use to be. Not sure we will be returning anytime soon or at all.
We were seated by 20 mins delay. The noise level was so annoying, we had to scream to hear each other. I think our waitress had a rough day. We asked to have the cheese removed form our salad, and her reaction was like why the hell do you want it removed. The waitress who delivered our food was very pleasant and friendly.
Consistent and above average. Wish choices were healthier (less fat/oil/butter) especially for vegetarian options. Best V options are mac and cheese, gnocchi in butter, or salads. Always nice, always wish for a few more healthy choices. Have been there many times. Was loud for conversation (Friday night)
It was just ok for the food and drinks. my husband got really sick (skirt steak salad) but i think it was him, not really maybe the food was bad. my food (ahi tuna) was mediocre. you're paying for the ambiance and the ritzy Cohn brand name. i'd give it another try but find the other Cohn restaurants have been much better overall.
Parking was a joke.We wanted to self park but the upper lot was full. After about 4 laps around some guy came out and placed a 'lot full' sign out but too little too late.He saw us circling but said nothing. We eventually found a lower lot and figured out where to park but with zero help from Vintana. The entire lower parking garage is not set up as user friendly(hard to get into and harder to to get out of)I believe this all is intentional to make you want to just forget about self parking and use the valet service.
I would recommend maybe for happy hour or drinks and snacks. We went for Sunday Brunch in a big group to celebrate a birthday. the food is hit and miss. The quiche was cold, and the crab hash was a bit bland. The cocktails are great. The staff is nice, but the service is not what I'd call stellar.
Really lovely atmosphere.
I had been there once before and thought it would be nice to go for a fancy Thanksgiving dinner....not to be. Never again on a holiday.
The entire place was terribly crowded and loud, even small side rooms. We were seated directly underneath an AC vent, and I was freezing from the blast. When I ordered my dinner, I was offered another veggie since the buttermilk mashed potatoes had too much dairy. When dinner came, not only was it less than lukewarm, but a big glob of onions on top was my subbed veggie. The waiter took it back....10 minutes later, after my husband had finished his meal, mine finally came. The taste was blah, nothing special. Coffee or tea was never offered and the nut tart dessert was sickening sweet. The atmosphere was to wait, remove the plates and get out...ready for the next diners. If we are alone again next year for the holiday, we’ll stay home and relax in peace and quiet.
Have been multiple times. Food was just ok this time. Oysters small, sandy, had chips of shell. Ahi stack not as good, ahi mushy not cubed.
Steaks ok not as good as in past. Lobster baked potato- the lobster claw meat on top was fishy and chewy. Overall, was disappointed .
