We went on back to back nights. The first night we sat in the covered outdoor area and had braised short ribs on the restaurant week menu. The vibe and the menu selection was outstanding. On night two, we were seated in the Lexus Lounge and had Mary’s Chicken on the restaurant week menu. The seating location was average at best and the menu selection matched the seating location. We had two different dining experiences- one was amazing and the second was barely average.

I enjoy going to Vintana Wine & Dine, rather if its for the amazing Happy Hour specials, or the Delicious Dinner menu, you can't go wrong. It was a rainy day, and they called ahead of time to see if it was ok to be seated inside the restaurant or a private dinning space. My party and I sat in a private dining area, our hostess was so kind and patient. The food was amazing as usual, and the drinks are always delicious. Vintana is one of my top 5 spots in San Diego.

Best and only North County 5-star restaurant, Great value and they even turned down the normal aggravating background music to the benefit of all diners. Been going there for 20 years and it's the best classic 5-star value in north county. Buy a car while you are there or at least look and salivate.

Went during SanDiego restaurant week so a three course dinner Fiordland $50 per person was a great deal. Looking over the regular menu it would be rather pricey unless you were going to dinner for a special occasion. Do not like the 5 % additional charge that all Cohen restaurants charge.

We have dined at Vintana many times, but tonight was a little disappointing. Despite a cheerful, helpful and polite server it seemed an eternity for drinks and plates to appear and when served the food was either a bit cold or overcooked. Not sure why, how or who… but the mark was missed for what should have been a great meal considering the higher cost, yet constant quality we have come accustomed to at this beautiful resteraunt… hence the rather low three stars. We still gave a great tip for the server’s individual effort, but I also wish we could have given the entire experience a higher rating.

The deserts were very sweet, too sweet. The seabass was excellent. The short ribs were marginal except for the excellent sauce that came with them. Salad was very good and the split pea soup was good except for being a little too salty.

From the host station to walking out the door, everyone was superb! We were long-time Island Prime customers when we lived south of the I-8. Now that we live in Scripps Ranch, Vintana will fill their shoes nicely. Our server, Braun, provided 5-star attention throughout our meal. He normally serves dinner, so we were lucky to benefit from his expert guidance at lunch. There was a minor issue with my food, which I did not need corrected. Braun brought it to the attention of the on-duty manager, who went above and beyond in his remedy. This is what a top-drawer establishment does to astound its patronage. All food items, from drinks to desserts, were best-in-class, which matched the level of service Braun accomplished. Vintana has moved to the top of our list!

Vintana is a most unusual place. Located on the third floor of a Lexus dealership, you would not expect such fine dining. The food is excellent and the service terrific. The view from a table by the window is great (except for the parking lot immediately below). Overall, this is one of the best restaurants I have experienced over the last couple of years. I heartily recommend Vintana.

The soup and salads were very tasty however the oysters were quite small (over priced). It's a very busy place not what you would call intimate! Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient. Two of the four entrees were very good.

We went to Vintana on our 40th anniversary recently as is our custom for big occasions, anniversaries, birthdays, house guests, etc. We got the royal treatment. Great food as always (bouillabaisse, Alaska king salmon) but also lavishly attentive service without being obtrusive. The sous chef even brought out a complimentary dish of scrumptious dates wrapped in bacon in a chile and sugar reduction and later Kevin, our superb waiter, brought us a plate of key lime pie and Island Prime Mud Pie. He thanked us on our way out. We left aglow with the fine food and outstanding service.

Went for happy hour and had a great experience. Located AT the Lexus dealer, Google Maps took me on a wild ride before I figured that out, I was pleasantly surprised when the host took us out to the patio. Food was excellent, drinks were on point and the service was great. Incredible value for happy hour, strongly recommend!

We went for date night. The selection in my opinion was not so good. Unless if you upgrade. Then it looses its value. Only thing good was the salmon and they were out of it. I love this restaurant and we will be back

Our food and drinks were delicious. Service was very slow across the board. We started at the bar while we waited for our table, the bartenders were busy and therefore very slow to give service to everyone. Once seated it took a long time for our server to come over. She was very nice but took forever to come to us throughout our meal. The complimentary bread also took ages to come out. The delicious food saved the day
