We had a great meal with great wine! Service was great!
This was our second time visiting Vintage. This time we found that the food was nothing spectacular and the prices were excessive. We left the place with a feeleing of being robbed for what we had. I understand thet Vail is always pricey but this was too much.
We will definitely not come back.
Vintage has a wonderful ambiance, great service and excellent (primarily) French food. The owner Brody, is very personable and clearly takes an interest in ensuring that his vision is met. He's there every night and comes around to check on each table. The only reason that I can see that the place isn't packed every night, is because it's not located on restaurant row. It is definitely worth the short walk from the middle of town if you want a quite, relaxing and very tasty meal.
Inspired dishes. Very well prepared and presented. Food was excellent and surprisingly abundant considering this is a French restaurant. We will be back!
Fabulous French Brunch and Dinner. Wine list is off the charts for the price points offered. French whites are so nice.
Very disappointing. Restaurant was basically empty at 6:30 dinnertime. Very limited menu with no options other than as printed on menu. $45 filet was scorched. Must pay $5 for steak sauce. Perhaps it was an off night but I will not go back.
Our meal was delicious, great Beef Bourguionne, excellent cocktails, wonderful authentic French bread and butter. It would be nice to have a reasonably priced(under $12) Chardonnay on the wine list but the whiskey sour was the perfect substitute! Hope to return for Sunday brunch!!
The food was just ok. The value is not the best compared to other restaurants in Vail.
The service was not special, for instance the waiter spilled some water on the table and he did not come back to dry off the table.
Great wine list, awesome steak frites.
What a delight! I was so excited to hear about Vintage, but it took us a while to get there. What a lovely lively restaurant. Enjoyed the energy and decor. A little slice of Paris. The food was outstanding and wine selection excellent. Definitely go for the Beef Bourgogne!
Great experience, food was wonderful and the wine recommendation was perfect.
Fantástico el Brie, el foie como aperitivos (starters).
La carne excelente.
De postre ... el de limón.
The food was great and the waitstaff did a good job...really friendly. We were there for dinner, and we had the filet and the short ribs. Both were delicious. The filet plate had a side of fries, which looked like they were just thrown on the plate. But they were really tasty so can’t complain. We left happy and full, but feeling like the restaurant has a bit of an identity crisis, as though they are trying to be fine dining but are falling just short. A few easy upgrades would get them there...like covering the nicked old tables with white table cloths and training the waitstaff to be slightly more professional. Our waiter described the foie gras as a “hockey puck”. It was cute and was clearly understandable but.... The prices were reasonable for Vail. All in all I would recommend this restaurant.
Food quality is just plain low for Vail! Location is great as was old Kelly L restaurant...we had a party of five and love eating put every night in Vail. Lowest of the week. Bummer!
We love this place. Ambiance is great , food is spectacular and excellent service. It is a hidden gem in the Vail Village
Great dinner! They are fairly new and still refining their service but the food was excellent.
It was likely an off evening for the restaurant but just about everything was truly awful.
We were told bread was no longer being offered but then saw it delivered to other tables. Our fish was terribly over cooked. We waited and WAITED for our food.
We’ve had numerous good experiences at Vintage so I do hope this was an aberration.
Did not meet our expectations. Cocktail came out wrong, easily replaced. Food was below par. Steak tartare was nearly frozen. Mussels lacked flavor.
Owner spent evening with friends and ignored all other customers. Sadly cannot recommend, and will probably not visit again.
We loved our dinner at Vintage! Good wine, reasonable priced, delicious food, friendly staff... I will definitely be back!
Nothing like some good bistro food after a day on the slopes. Vintage was a pleasant find among the choices in Vail. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a good, authentic rendition of French bistro food. the staff was exceptionally attentive and friendly. For those who aren't within walking distance of Vail Village, ask about parking! They were kind enough to tell me about a few spots they have for dinner guests in their building. That made the experience even easier and more convenient.
Service continues to make this one of the best dining experiences in Vail, along with the beautiful, creative decor, nice lighting/ambiance. Vlad was unfailingly polite, attentive, charming, helpful. Food is good to excellent; very nice house salad, delicate fish, good bread, sweet potato gnocchi needs to be heavier on the potato flavor, butterscotch dessert fresh/mild.
Great experience all the way around - food, service and ambiance - even despite a snafu with my order.
Arrived about 15 minutes early so enjoyed cocktails/wine at the bar. Friendly experience and absolutely no issue with transferring the tab to the table.
At the table, the waiter was good to take our drinks and appetizer order... instead of pressuring us to order the whole meal at once. Had the Brie and Escargot appetizers. Escargot came out of the shell and sat in a creamier sauce than I expected but was delicious. Can never go wrong with brie.
I had the Steak Tartare and Cauliflower appetizers for my entree while my partner ordered a Steak Frite entree. It caused confusion somewhere between the waitstaff and kitchen... but the entire team (including management and hostess) handled it swimmingly and courteously. They were very apologetic for the delay... but I had nowhere to go and was enjoying the ambiance, conversation and wine.
I feel like all working knew of the predicament and took the time to apologize. It made the experience that much more enjoyable and says a lot about the communication and care among the management and staff.
I feel like I've down played the food. It was a great meal and I would recommend the restaurant to anyone. The Steak Tartare comes with pickled mustard seeds, fried capers, raw quail egg, crispy salsify, shaved root vegetables, toasted baguette. Excellent. The cauliflower was bathed in a citrus juice. I honestly would have preferred a crispy version... but it was still tasty the way it was prepared.
All in all - five stars on every aspect.
Just could not have been better! The service was awesome. The owner came by our table to make sure all was well twice. The fish was off the charts as was the Coq Au Vin. The salads were very creative and tasty and the wine was a good value. Will go back many more times!!!
Fabulous as always!
Excellent French bistro food, pleasant setting, terrific service, very good wine list and somalier.
We had dinner on a Friday night. Place is really nice at great location. Service was very good and wine list is good (not many options but good). Food was a bit disappointing. 5 people at our party ordered different entrees and the gnocchi was the only one really flavorful. Coq au vin had almost no sauce.
Love the place, but they forgot my birthday cake!
The food was lite as was the menus not much choice well prepared
Not worth returning
Food was great and our server was very kind and polite!
Quaint and off the beaten path. Food was wonderful. We will return.
Had a family dinner here after skiing at Vail. Beautiful setting, great food very French! Loved it.
Precioso lugar, servicio muy amable y comida deliciosa!
Vintage is our new favorite place to dine in the Vail Valley. The food was delicious and the Ambiance was magical, exquisite, and our server was perfect.
We dined at Vintage on New Year's Day 2018. The restaurant was very quiet, which suited us just fine. They took our coats as we entered and showed us to the table. The food was French and fairly traditional in names of dishes, but there was a twist to the execution!
I had escargot (snails), followed by seared scallops. My wife had Boeuf Bourginon. The escargot I usually have are cooked and then placed in large shells in a dish containing melted garlic butter. This was the escargot without the shells but in a sort of garlic mayonnaise. It was lovely.
For the main courses, mine was very good, but my wife's was exceptional. Not a stew, but more a new interpretation of the dish. The meat was a single chunk, about the size of a fist, and then there were dashes of gravy and vegetables around it. It all tasted beautiful.
I followed by a small Creme Brulee, which was small and just right.
We had a bottle of Fleurie wine, which was $56 and about the cheapest in the house. There were plenty for several hundred TEMP_OC_CONTENT_HERE#039;s.
Great service and we’ll executed French bistro-style food.
We had a lovely time, the service was top notch and our food was delicious!
We arrived about 7 minutes early and were told that we could not be seated until exactly 7pm so we headed to the bar. It took about 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us even though the bar seats were mostly vacant. We ordered a bottle of wine and it appeared about 5 minutes later so that was good. At about 7:20 the hostess said she could finally seat us....we decided to just stay at the bar. It took forever to get our food but we noticed that the young woman who sat down next to us had wine and a meal in about 5 minutes. The bartender companied twice about how busy he was. Seriously, don't you hate when someone in the service industry makes their problem your problem?? After all that we thought "well if the food is awesome than that will compensate for the poor service". Alas, the food was fair. My husband liked his pork salad and wagyu steak. I thought my pear salad was mediocre and the beef bourguignon which was supposed to be their house specialty was fair. So many great restaurants in Vail...not gonna go back to Vintage.
Overpriced and food too salty, just average. Had way better meals for the price.
We had a horrible dinner at Vintage. It didn’t help that because of a large group was there we had to wait for an hour for our appetizers. The cheese and meat board was very good and the onion soup was good as well. The main course was super disappointing, $50 for cold soggy fries, tiny piece of meat and watery bearnaise sauce. My wife had scallops which were well cooked but rest of the dish didn’t make any sense. Overall, I would not go again or recommend to a friend.
Too expensive, average service and food
