This hotel restaurant has terrible service and almost lukewarm food. The only good thing I can say about the restaurant was that the plate was clean, but the food on it was inedible. Will never go there again. Marriott can do better. There is simply no excuse for that kind of poor service. Shutter to think what the service would have been like if there had been more than 2 tables of eating guests.
Overpriced! We arrived on a Thursday evening and wanted a light dinner. We ordered chicken and waffles and paid $22 each for three tiny chicken strips and four small waffles. The service was also slow. It seemed like they were surprised to have customers. The morning buffet was much the same with nearly everything empty when we arrived at 9:00 on a Saturday.
Went there before the "Adult Prom" with 3 other couples! Food was DELISH and the presentation of each entree was perfectly priportioned. The side salads were super large (enough for 2-3 sharing). All in all - nice servers, quiet ambiance and yummy food!
This is a place for slightly upscale dining. Conveniently located, and good pricing. It is located on ground level of the hotel, so there are no outdoor views. However, the menu (although somewhat limited) is very nice. The wine list is not long, but is sufficient to find something decent. Considering the price, it's not bad at all.
We could not check in with our Open Table reservation- there was no host. We finally went out to the bar to look for help. One server in the whole restaurant. Several items on the menu were not available. Cobb salad was served with "We are out of blue cheese so the salad has parmesan." We asked for bread and got "We don't have bread tonight." If they don't have bread on Friday night of a holiday weekend...
Love this place it's so good
Great and awesome and clean location
Best place to have lunch in Macon with great service and great food!!!! Nice and clean.
Great food and awesome Fried Green Tomatoes!!
Awesome food and awesome staff
Great Fried Green Tomatoes and great place to eat!
Great location and great restaurant
Excellent service. Shrimp and grits were disappointing, rather bland. Creme brûlée wasn't very memorable. Cinnamon peach ice cream was pretty good.
The menu was extremely limited and not inviting at all. several people left along with my group.
The food was excellent, unfortunately the service was very slow the night I went and the restaurant did not look busy in the section we were in. I am hoping that it was just a once and a while sort of thing. My wife and I both commented on how tasty the food was. We will be going back and I will post another review.
Hostess was nonexistent, basically had to seat myself and my wife, I even set a reservation. After being seated and waited over 20 minutes to even get water, I ordered about $100.00 worth of food and bottle of wine. With teenagers close by yelling, screaming, and in general being a nuisance, I asked the waitress and manager both to ask them to leave due to the fact that this was a nicer dining environment, neither made an attempt to get the children out. It would be different if the children had ordered anything but water...... After waiting about 30 minutes, with no food and only water, my wife and I simply walked out and have no intentions of returning....
This was my first visit. I loved the idea of having another nice restaurant in Macon. Much like several other Vintage reviews I've read, my review is mixed. First, the food was quite good. The steak was very slightly overdone, but had a great flavor nonetheless. The veggies were very good as well. The service was mediocre. The staff certainly wasn't rude, but didn't really act like they wanted to be there. We waited entirely to long to get a first drink refill, and never got the second refill in spite of our glasses being completely empty.
I recommend travelers and locals alike, give Vintage a try. Just go into it expecting less than stellar service. You'll likely be pleased with the food.
There is a dearth of decent eating places open on Sundays in Macon. I've really never understood why. Even fewer participate in Open Table. So I was delighted when Vintage became available for certain holiday brunches.
The food is actually pretty good! However, the service is poor. Example: I made a reservation for Mothers' Day on Open Table but found that Vintage had made no record of it and thus were unprepared for us. And unapologetic about it too.
Even though the service required is minimal - mostly a buffet - expect to wait a long time for things like water or champagne.
