Vintage Prime & Seafood
8 oz Boneless Filet
Cauliflower Au Gratin
Steak was cooked fantastically, but not as tender as I expect from a prime cut, salmon was a bit over cooked
It was ok! We enjoy a nice steak but we have had way better. Nice try some place new though!
Awesome date night spot or special occasion. Food is off the charts good, accommodating on the menu (made us a Caesar Salad that’s not on the menu), ambiance is very quaint it feels like you’re in the comfort of your own home having a special dinner. Highly recommend!
Our first visit to the Vintage Prime & Seafood was extremely disappointing although we have eaten at the Cork many times. We knew the restaurant was very small but in spite of that has nice ambience. Our waitress was very welcoming and got us started off nicely by explaining the menu and getting our initial drinks, however her follow up was very inconsistent during the meal. The greatest disappointment was the food itself. My wife had a filet Oscar and found that it tasted boiled and did not have the expected "Prime" flavor. My filet with a four ounce Lobster tail was medium , when I had requested medium rare. Again the flavor was just not there for a Prime cut of meat and the lobster tail which looked like two ounces was actually smaller than a jumbo shrimp and completely tasteless. My wife had a beet salad which was very delicious. I had the pear salad and it was so over saturated with dressing it was inedible and I sent it back. Overall the food was extremely disappointing. It took forever to get our dinner so timing from appetizer to dessert was very uneven. There are only 20-24 seats in this restaurant. Unfortunately all the raves and recommendations we had to visit the Vintage did not match our experience.
We had great appetizers and loved the Fisher Vineyayd 2013 Cabernet we had with dinner. Three of us had really good steaks and my nephew had a really well prepared salmon
Had a fantastic anniversary dinner. The staff was amazing, food was great. Only wish i could have stopped conversation of a nearby table. It being as quiet as it was in there, everything other table’s discuss is loud and clear.
Excellent food. A little expensive.
Outstanding service, food, and ambiance. One of our favorite local restaurants for a classy enjoyable experience.
William was wonderful. Food was fantastic and the ambiance was calm.
Love the ambience. Have eaten here before. This experience wasn’t perfect.
An amazing experience again! Our third time experiencing this restaurant. We'll be back again!
Slow service. Waiter not attentive.
Excellent food. Intimate setting.
Great food and great night. William was our server and did an excellent job.
Vintage is a great spot for a quiet meal in a very comfortable setting. There are some issues. It’s pricey, and with high costs comes better than average service. The three employees at the host stand could not have been more “who cares attitude”. It’s not like they were packed with guests and overworked. They did not even offer a good evening or a smile and hello. We had a reservation and were on time. Leaving, no friendly good night, thanks for dining with us.
Service in the dining room was better, but I’m. It sure our server was well acquainted with the menu. She seemed a bit uncomfortable. I ordered the Wagyu steak. The way it’s served is cook at your table on a hot rock service. No problem except for hot grease spatters. The type when frying bacon. Not fun on a date even with your spouse.
Like most steak houses the presentation is very simple. Steak on a bare plate. .
The highlight, the Fishers Cameron red blend is a fine glass of wine. The white chocolate martini makes a good after dinner drink
If Vintage is going to command $100/plate with minimal alcohol, they are going need to step it up. It’s a fantastic setting, but service and presentation need to step it up.
The food was amazing and we loved the small, intimate dining room. My only complaint was the service was so slow. We were there for over two hours and not by choice.
Great food. Spot on service. Gluten Free accommodations.
We really enjoyed our time there. The ambiance was great. We enjoyed our dishes. Everything was great. It was our first time at Vintage and it won’t be our last!
Great food overshadowed by our request for a booth being ignored
Celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary. It was a lovely meal, great service.
So many times we told ourselves we are going to dine at the Vintage. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary for a family member. We finally got there. The greeters were very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. Our dining experience was delightful. The ambience was lovely and this was truly a fine dining experience. Krista was our server and she was awesome. She was so sweet and very knowledgeable about the menu items and she added so much to our evening. Our food was so flavorful and we were grateful for her input. Our compliments to the chefs as well. We really liked the shareable side items. We sat at a table and it was a lovely setting and the chairs were so comfortable. The booths looked very comfortable as well and next time we may try a booth.
William assisted Krista and he was a delight as well. Julie, a manager, stopped by our table to check to see if everything was okay. That was so sweet too. Dessert was incredible. After dinner we opted to sit out on the patio in front of a fire pit and it was very fun to sit there with a glass of wine and enjoy the beautiful evening.
Thank you to all for making this a memorable evening. We definitely will be back.
The Andersons & The Behrens
It was wonderful. Good food, good wine, good service, great company!
Great restaurant within a restaurant! Being said, still a fair bit of noise spills over golfers in pub club part.
Excellent service. Slow but enjoyable paced. What dining should be, so relax and enjoy your dining partner. King Crab dip was really good. Delicious beet and arugula salad. Filet was tender and cooked to perfection. Rare but not raw. Personal touch if you book with open table was very nice 😉
William is fabulous at his role as wait staff. Food was so so. Experience breed than the food. Probably a one and done for us.
Everything was top shelf. From the personalized menu to an excellent waitress, the service was second to none. We eat at high end restaurants. They have nothing over Vintage. The food and overall experience at Vintage was great. We will definitely be back.
Our rib eye steak was tough & over cooked. We enjoyed the rest of the food and our service was very good!!
One of the best restaurants in Grand Rapids. Excellent food and wine list as well as superb service.
Second time visiting and just as good this time. great service and food.
Great food, a hidden gem! Not many people even realize this restuarant is here.
A great place to go for a quiet dinner with great ambiance. The service was top notch and the food was fabulous. It's my new favorite place for steak in Grand Rapids!
William did an excellent job with serving us and was able to explain everything on the menu to us. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
We went for a celebration dinner and were seated in a private room that was all men who were loud. We ordered the 8 oz fillets and told they were prime beef. I only ate 1/2 of mine and I don’t believe it was prime beef. The place is overpriced and not what they say it is. Would have rather sat in the Corke Grille. Better atmosphere and prices. We paid $11 for a side of asparagus!
William is the best!!
The food and service was very good with a slower pace culture that allowed time for conversation. It was my wife’s and I’s anniversary so it was awesome so slow down from our busy lives with kids and sports to take the time to enjoy each other’s company. The room was fairly quiet as well so we could talk and hear each other without having to talk loudly.
Beautiful evening! Thank you!! The food was delicious, the waiter and staff very efficient.
The portions are large and quality was very good. I was actually surprised at how much food we received. Ambiance is very nice but perhaps a little too dark. Seemed intimate and quite enough for easy conversation without feeling strained. The seafood cakes were excellent as was the salmon oscar. Service was friendly and informative regarding the menu options. Nice alternative to the downtown restaurants.
Great service, extensive high end wine menu. Filet seemed a little fatty for the price. Overall a nice experience.
2-23-19. Birthday Celebration for a Best Friend. William did an outstanding job of taking care of us! This is one of my most favorite restaurants in Grand Rapids! I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!
the food was wonderful, especially the morel chowder and the steak tatare. my bone-in filet was cooked to perfection and the halibut was great.
too much food and had no room for dessert.
