Vintage, located in New Market, offers elevated American comfort food in a chic historic restaurant. Executive Chef Stephanie Wilson combines serious culinary chops with seasonal, local ingredients to elevate classic southern-inspired American comfort food. The resulting dishes are delicious, familiar, and more-than-a-little-bit-addictive.
Our restaurant has truly historic bones; our building has had various incarnations as a general store, hotel, and the much beloved Mealey's, and was once a mainstay on the National Pike - the conduit for the original American migration West. Now, our GM Lindsey Hamilton delivers warm hospitality in a casual, chic space that we know you'll love as much as we do. You’ll also surely quench your thirst with a carefully curated wine list, one of our 'Vintage' cocktails, or a pour from one of our 20 taps of glorious craft beer and house-kegged cocktails.

Vintage Ratings and Reviews
Dinner was average, very few choices for people with gluten sensitivity issues. Service was average . They were having a special menu through the weekend for Valentine's day therefore, choices were limited. Although, I have seen the regular menu and definitely limited for those in my family that have gluten and dairy sensitivity.
I really like Vintage, we have been coming here since it opened. We came for the Valentines day meal, the food was really good but I felt that we spent more money than usual for the food items. Everything was excellent, however I think the normal menu has more value. Still a nice place to eat. For what it is worth, I would like to have a tablecloth and proper place setting so I don't have to use the same utensil between meals.
We went here for Valentine's day...it was fun....we enjoyed the very broad menu...tried things we never had before...everything was very good...enjoyed a table for two in front of the fireplace....cant be in a hurry...took about 2 hrs for four course dinner
Very tasty lunch with a friend in a relaxed atmosphere. Started with cocktails and wine; Vintage has a great drink menu. We ordered the brunch BBQ piggy and smoked salmon sandwiches and shared both. Highly recommend either - wonderful flavors. Great service - enough attention but allowed us time to visit and enjoy the drinks and lunch.
It was very nice. Table bussing was a little slow but not terrible. Staff was very nice and engaging but also knew when to leave us alone to enjoy the night. The hush puppies are not hush puppies, they are more like cake balls. Delicious but not what I was expecting. The rest of the food was very good.
Saturday night, waited at the bar for 14 minutes for a beer because they had no glasses. 2 bartenders were commenting on how it was like this last Saturday too?! My Fiancee' s food was good, mine was cold so I asked them to take it back, 2 minutes later my $24 entree was out of the microwave and back on my table. It was luke warm now and had a nice dry crusty appearance to it, I didn't eat it. The Manager took it off the check and gave me a wooden coin for 15% off in the future.
The hush puppies were incredible! There is no dairy-free bread which was unfortunate. My husband got the brisket since he could not get a sandwich. The brisket portion was too small for him, the other portions were really great. I got the chicken sandwich which was overcooked. Our friends got burgers, and they looked fantastic. Our server was a delight. There is a noticeable draft if you are sitting on the higher seating area - otherwise ambience was wonderful.
This was a girls night out dinner. I had been here for dinner several times but it was the first time for my three friends. The appetizers were awesome - fried pickles and roasted brussels sprouts - these were definitely the highlight. We all got the filet dinner - which was their special for the evening - it was good but not memorable. It was over mashed potatoes but their was no vegetable. Of course we should have picked up on that when the waitress described the dish but it would have been nice if she would have suggested a vegetable. Also - the potatoes were only lukewarm which is a pet peeve of mine. I really want my food to be hot. One of our filets wasn't cooked as requested but they were quick to apologize and make it right. They gave my friend some soup to eat on while she waited for her steak to come back out. The service was good. I will definitely come back and give it another try.
Our party of 5 plus a 2 year old celebrated my husband’s birthday with dinner. Everyone had burgers and fries, two were black bean burgers. The food was very good, the fries excellent. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. The waitstaff was attentive and very courteous. One of the burgers accidentally was undercooked, but it was immediately taken care of by the manager, who also discounted the price. It was a very pleasant meal, and we will be making Vintage a go-to restaurant.
When we first arrived (6:30 Saturday) the volume was comfortable for quiet/normal conversation. As the room filled, conversation was quite difficult as the room became quit loud.
Food and service were great but we’ll try to go during off-peak hours now knowing how loud it gets.
We sat in the middle of the eating area in front of the fireplace. If a smaller side room for dining is available, that would likely improve our experience.
We went on a hoppin' Saturday evening. Didn't wait long for a table. Server was very busy, but was very friendly also and checked on us often and got all of our orders correct. We always love the Farmer's Risotto and the Mac and Cheese was amazing (although a little pricey at $16). We will be back soon.
A seemingly perfect combination of small-town "comfort-food" dining experiences and modern, seasonally minded cuisine. Whether you're an adventurous eater (like myself) or a stickler for the classics, you'll be happy with the menu, and the kitchen really delivers.
The bar makes excellent cocktails, and the Cocktail Flight is a real game changer.
Dinner , drinks and service was excellent. First my wife have both had an excellent dinner plate. The only bad side was the dessert. Order the chocolate bar with vanilla ice cream and whip cream. It was horrible. It was a cold flat brownie that tasted like it was straight from the box three days prior.
We would definitely go back and have drinks and dinner. We will just skip dessert.
Every aspect of our evening at Vintage was enjoyable. We tried the Flatbread, Hush Puppies, Golden Smoke Bird, Tempura Fried Catfish, and Cocktail Flight and they were all delicious. Our server, Erin was appropriately attentive, pleasant and knowledgeable. One of our best evenings at Vintage. We love and appreciated where we were seated.
I had a reservation at 7pm and didn’t get seated until 7:15pm. Service was slow but friendly. Steak was ordered medium but came out well done. Steak was removed from our check but my dinner guest didn’t have time to wait to get something else so she went home hungry. Not a good overall experience.
I have been coming to Vintage since they first opened, but just during happy hour. We came in for an early dinner and had a terrific experience this past weekend. The service was great, the daily specials were interesting and a comfort food variation of one of the dinner entrees was delicious.
Have been here several times. Always like the food. I ordered steak this time... it was tough with grissle (sp) but very tasty and prepared medium as I requested. Also...I think a baked or mashed potato option would have been nice with the steak. Excellent decaf coffee and dessert. My husband had the tempura catfish... excellent.
We’ll be back.
The food is always delicious, but the noise level was ridiculous. Our table was mere inches from our neighbors, so we couldn't help but hear a lot of their conversations, and we were too close to the bar. We had to practically yell to hear each other across the table! With a lot of "what?", "what did you say?" going on, I was tempted to text instead!
A wonderful surprise in New Market with none of the Frederick crowds. Imaginative, comfort food menu with something for everyone. The brisket panini was more like a wonderful pot roast sandwich with amazing flavors and tender meat. Could only eat half the sandwich. My wife devoured the chicken with pear sandwich. French fries were freshly cooked and superb (actually a good test of a restaurant) and waitstaff friendly, knowledgeable, but not pushy. Will recommend this to all my friends.
