Our restaurant has truly historic bones; our building has had various incarnations as a general store, hotel, and the much beloved Mealey's, and was once a mainstay on the National Pike - the conduit for the original American migration West. Now, our GM Lindsey Hamilton delivers warm hospitality in a casual, chic space that we know you'll love as much as we do. You’ll also surely quench your thirst with a carefully curated wine list, one of our 'Vintage' cocktails, or a pour from one of our 20 taps of glorious craft beer and house-kegged cocktails.
Hour and a half wait for entrees, we settled the check and left. I won’t be back
food was delicious, but the noise level was so loud!
The food and drink were great and obviously well executed by a kitchen staff that cares about the food. Everything was interesting and delicious with a menu that seems to have something for everyone. The historic space is nice and cozy, but energetized by many large groups(not a lot of couples, but more 4, 6, or larger parties) out enjoying the night. The place was very busy on a Friday night and the group of 5 of us dining all thought the same thing... That wait staff seemed to be spread way too thin. Longer than customary time periods were experienced through out our dining experience. We never said anything about it to anyone, but our waitress did acknowledge on her own on two occasions that she was sorry for the wait(for initial drinks, main courses). In the grand scheme of things, this should not be a deal breaker when the food is this good and we'll definitely be back in hopes that the staffing issues are being remedied.
We finally made it to Vintage for my 40th birthday. It's a gorgeous restaurant, but not so frilly that you feel uncomfortable. I wanted to try the whole menu. It looked amazing. There seemed to only be one waitress? She was lovely, but service was very slow. We got the Rice Krispy onion rings, and sticky and sweet wings as our app. Both were wonderful, hot, flavorful. I got the fried chicken and waffles which was HUUUUUGE. It was delicious but needed a bit more syrup. I asked for some, but I think the waitress forgot. It used to be made without the curry syrup and butter, and I think I would have preferred something sweet instead of the curry. Husband got the fish and chips which was delicious. Son got the chicken biscuit which was ok, and my youngest got the sliders from the kids menu that he liked. I really want to try brunch. would go again! Just hope the service is a bit better.

IT SEEMED THAT MANAGEMENT HAD NOT SCHEDULED THE CORRECT NUMBER OF WAIT STAFF, BAR PERSONNEL OR COOKS. WE WAITED MORE THAN 15 MINUTES TO ORDER ON TAP BEERS>>>AND IT THEN TOOK 20 MINUTES FOR THEM TO ARRIVE!!
NOTHING WAS DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER.
Walked out after waiting over an hour and 20 minutes for our food. Apparently, the kitchen was short staffed (not my problem and a poor excuse). Waiter disappeared and no communication or apologies or anything. Bring a bread basket, offer s drink... SOMETHING! Won’t be back and won’t recommend to anyone.
Always an amazing experience at this restaurant. The only “issue” this time was it was a little loud, but that wasn’t the restaurants fault.
Second time dining here. First time the food was good and service just fine. This time the service was not good at all. Either the kitchen or server were responsible for slow service because there were a couple larger parties there; but the restaurant was not nearly as fully as first time we dined there. The food was very good. There were no rolls provided (said they didn't have any or didn't do bread) and the salads were brought with the meal instead of beforehand. Had to ask for ice tea twice after the initial order for drinks was placed as I think the server forgot.
My husband and myself went here for our anniversary as it was recommended by many friends to us. We had a reservation and were immediately sat but right near there bathroom, with plenty of other open tables. We nicely asked to move and they obliged.
Our service was great, it was the food that just felt like they were trying too hard to be different. I’m thinking it was an off night for the chef which is why I would still recommend giving it a try. We had the flatbread special which was covered in way too much blue cheese for our liking. The hush puppies were very good but honestly; they were burnt. Our entrees were again just ok. I had chicken and waffles and the chicken was extremely dry. My husband had the farmers pig and again it was good but was on a bed of blue cheese grits and just so much blue cheese again. We decided try to the turtle cheesecake and that was good but there was a very thick layer of caramel sauce on top which overpowered all the other flavors. Had it not been our Anniversary and our first kid free evening in a long time I probably wouldn’t have cared about the next part, but it was our Anniversary so the fact that the table next to us was blaring baby shark was a little annoying (not the restaurants fault). Overall food was ok borderline good.
I highly recommend this place. The shrimp and grits were amazing!
Lovely atmosphere with creative, delicious food. Awesome Bartender who’s willing to create new concoctions just for you. Wait staff is attentive and helpful. We enjoy every meal we eat here. Try the duck nachos!!!
Early this year we had major complaints about the service, mostly stemming from problems in the back of the house. They seemed to have it worked out when we were there earlier this week.
Everything was average. This has always been one of our favorite places to eat, but I think we are moving on.
We love the food at Vintage!! Brunch on Sunday is our favorite!
The menu changes, seasonally? - not sure of the frequency. Currently - not one of their better menus. Not a lot of variety or originality. Live music was not good....
My family and I loved Vintage. We loved the tables/décor/dishes. We loved the made from scratch food and concept and we also loved that since we had an early lunch, it was very easy to take our time and chat over a nice meal.
Food was excellent, very flavorful and unique. Our compliments to the chef.
Our server was great, however she did inform us that the kitchen was backed up - our guess is, it was because it was BOGO night and the restaurant was packed. We went with the flow and decided it was nice to just relax and enjoy conversation. So overall, it was lovely, we had a great meal and we love that it is so close to our home.
It was a busy night so the kitchen was a little slow but the food was delicious and you can’t beat BOGO!

Please lower the air conditioning. I have been there every Tuesday this month, and it is quite warm....my dinner guests had mentioned being uncomfortable as well....
Overall, Vintage is a lovely restaurant.
My first visit to Vintage was for Sunday Brunch. Lovely space. Can't beat $3 mimosas that are actually tasty! I was impressed by the variety of offerings on the menu. Disappointed that they were out of fried pickles, but the rest of the meal was very good. My vintage dippers were excellent, but the scrambled eggs that came with them were lackluster. My dining companion enjoyed her Peachy Keen sandwich (very unique and seasonal offering!) and I sampled a few of her french fries which were good.
Will be back!

Food is fantastic, with slightly large portions. I would definitely go back, and have already! Thus far, I’ve tried food from their dinner menu and from their lunch menu. There’s a great variety of options, all with a southern flair. It’s definitely a nice addition to the historic New Market area.
It was our first time at Vintage and thought that overall it was a very good evening. Thought the onion rings were especially good.

The food was good. We had the Cheese and Crackers as an appetizer then the Watermelon Gazpacho as a first course. For mains, I had the Shrimp & Grits and my wife had the Trout.
The good but slightly salty food was overshadowed by the poor service, probably from the kitchen, although I don't know for sure.
The Watermelon Gazpacho came out first. It was served with a cottage cheese-type crab garnish. I did not like the fishiness of the crab with the watermelon.
Then came the Cheese and Crackers with cocktails that we'd ordered some time ago.
Immediately after that, the mains were served. We had no time to order wine with our meal as is our usual practice.
There was a point when everything was on the table at once.
I mentioned all this to our server, who was also the bartender. He could not have cared less. He said that the kitchen was probably bored with not much to do so just did everything quickly. This is NOT how you make a guest happy.
As a final insult, the water carafe at the table was caked with mineral deposits as if someone said, "You don't need to wash them because they just hold water." WRONG.
We skipped dessert. I know we won't be back.
Trout was excellent as was the blueberry cheesecake and homemade ice cream. Vintage is now a "go to" for me.
Love to go to Vintage. The food is always good and Tuesday BOGO in August is a great deal. They have a wonderful beer selection and new ones to try all the time. The drinks are unusual and tasty. The service Tuesday was a little slow but we were with friends so didn't mind waiting!

This is always our lunch go to. Came for dinner and wished We had gone somewhere else. It just wasn’t good. Very salty. Will try again for lunch but definitely not for dinner.
Excellent, imaginative dishes (smoked fried pickles - what's not to like?). Kitchen was a bit slow but our server, Justin was great and very attentive. We'll definitely go again.
Attentive server, great food, nice ambiance. We had a lovely dinner and time to linger over coffee after without feeling rushed.
Vintage was an excellent spot for a special birthday dinner. My group of 6 was seated in a private room and treated to excellent service. The food was delicious!
Ambiance is very good, a bit eclectic but pleasant. Bar and wait staff were great, friendly, professional, helpful. Food was ok, but not great, which was a disappointment after reading previous reviews. Fried food (Green tomatoes, onion rings) were average at best, and a bit greasy. Pulled pork and tenderloin was fine but not great. Flank steak was fine but not great. Recommend the chef and kitchen personnel rethink their approach to the food.
The food was excellent! It was flavorful and left you wanting to return. The service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and made you feel welcome. Will definitely return!
This was our first time and we loved it! The service was amazing and the food was incredible. The kids’ menu was a great value both kids ate (which doesn’t often happen with picky eaters). The price was appropriate for the food; the portions were enough and cooked perfectly. We can’t wait to go back!
