This was either our 9th or 10th visit and as always it was excellent. No complaints about anything, whatsoever.
We have had good experience before. Last 2 times not so much. Some of the food was actually close to inedible (lobster mash potatoes) and they never have the wines listed on their own wine list.
There was no offer to help with coats
The plate ware is terrible. Small and cheap, so many elegant options are available now
Chipped votive holder
The table was too small to hold side dishes and have a side plate.
Very poor selection of beers
server was very good, personable
Steak was okay, mushrooms overpowered by thyme. Very doughy bread.
Steak tartare good flavour but very coarse.
Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was amazing in every way! From the time we got through the door until we we left. Loved it!
First time at Vintage, all I can say is amazing! Service was fantastic, steak was cooked to perfection.
Fantastic as always. Vintage continues to be my go to for out of town guests and clients.
We try to visit once a month. Great food and wine selection .
Excellent meal. The veggies were cooked perfect. More bread would be appreciated rather than one small roll each. Other than that perfect.
Extremely long wait for meal to arrive.
Good experience again, cooks had a bit of a rough night, scallops under cooked, lobster over cooked, steaks were half and half. Still a great place, I would prefer to have a bite in the lounge as much as the dining room.
Have only eaten here for special occasions. While the service and ambience is excellent, the food was only fair this time. I ordered medium rare and got a medium well tenderloin. Didn't send it back because it was edible but not what I wanted. Side of mushrooms were so loaded with garlic I didn't want to finish them. For this, the food is priced too high. Washrooms are dingy. Both of us ended up with 'digestive disagreements' later in the evening and the only thing we ate the same was the bread.
Shared the 32 ounce ribeye and it was very good. Cooked perfectly! The jalapeño creamed corn is very good too.
The service and food were great, as we come to expect. We appreciate the kitchen accommodating our dietary restrictions. They had a live band in that evening and so it got a little loud for conversation at times
The food was great. We were there with friends to celebrate a birthday. The idea was to "dance" all night long. It's very difficult to do on a very very small dance floor. It ruined the evening.
Been wanting to try out vintage for years now. At first glance it seemed like a very great place to have a date with my wife. Appetizers were fantastic, ambiance was overall good. Live music was a bit much towards the end of the evening (too loud). Steaks came out burnt, but new ones were cooked up right away. Will definitely have to give them another chance as the customer service was exceptional.
The Cobb salad I have ordered in the past was...bad. I don't know if they changed chefs but I was disappointed this time with the food.
outstanding food and great service ... best steak I have had in Calgary
Vintage is my favorite restaurant. I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years and it was his first time at vintage his favorite place is Ruth Chris and that's the only place he takes me to but thanks to my sister that got us a vintage gift card for xmas he had to try vintage And guess what he says that he likes the steak more than Ruth Chris and that he would take me there more often. I loved everything I ordered escargot. lobster mac and cheese with their white truffle oil. "Who knew mac and cheese can be classy" it's what my man said LOL . Lobster mashed potato. Oysters yummy. The steak is always cooked to my liking which I also dip with the classic bearnaise sauce I must say the ribeye by itself is very flavorful so you dont really need sauce but I just love their sauce. Their Crème Brûlée is to die for. I recommend this. I will come here again Feb 21 for my man's birthday.
I wrote a review on Vintage Chophouse's page. It was good. We had a great time.
I was disappointed in the baked Alaska and one of my friends was disappointed
in the brownie. Other then that, the afternoon went well. Our waiter was good.
He could have been a little more attentive when it came to ordering another
round of wine, but that was okay.
Wonderful Sunday night prime rib dinner. We ate in the lounge where it was cozy, great music playing and hockey game on tv quietly at the bar. Wonderful staff too. Oh and all important candle light too.
