Vintage Chophouse & Tavern Ratings and Reviews
I took my now wife here on our first date, and now we come here every year for our anniversary and they have yet to disappoint. The service is excellent, and the food is even better.
We’ve yet to have anything short of an incredible dinner and we’ll be back every year until we or Vintage isn’t around.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner on a Fri night. Started with the beet salad it was enough for two to share and was delicious. The candied nuts, goat cheese and beets compliment each other very well. I ordered the rib eye and wife had the tenderloin both medium and cooked perfectly. For the sides went with the mushrooms and fingerlings both were excellent. Didn't have any space for dessert maybe next time I'm sure we'll be back. The complimentary glass of wine for our anniversary was a very nice touch, thank you. Our server Brenna was warm, professional and attentive couldn't have asked for more.
My wife and I went to Vintage for our Anniversary - I booked through open table and noted the occasion. They seated us in a nice, private booth and surprised us with complimentary champagne.
Everything that was ordered was exceptional - I think this place has Ceasar’s beat.
Plus the server we had was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable.
We’ll be returning, for sure.
This was the second time we have been here! Sat in the bar the first time and would prefer that usually. We had a great seat in the back of the restaurant up top that was awesome though this time. We had steak with spinach and roast potatoes, ceasar salad and oysters. All was great! Top notch steak house for sure!
Drove in from Revelstoke for our anniversary for a weekend at a luxury hotel and dining experience. We weren’t disappointed in the least. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was great. Steak and sides were delicious as was the wine. I would and will recommend this restaurant.
For the price of the meal we were underwhelmed. The service was slow. It was a busy Saturday night but I feel that’s not a great excuse. The waiter did not check on us. Refills on drinks were not offered, we had to ask. Empty drinks were not cleared. The food was decent but not as good as we were expecting based on price.
The service (Louise) was EXCELLENT. The steaks and sides were great! The great only part that was disappointing was the seafood tower. I’ve travelled the word and experienced great seafood towers. The one at Vintage is disappointing, especially when you look at the value.
The waiter's presentation of a board holding samples of the available steaks was knowledgeable and comprehensive. Unfortunately, the ribeye I had was a lot more pedestrian. It was stringy, fatty and chewy and reminded me of a supermarket steak. About half of the boneless steak that was served was edible. The sides and cocktails were fine but the unappealing steak ruined the experience for me.
The restaurant itself is beautiful. The bun at the start was just ok, nothing fancy, same as you would get at home. The sides were pretty good, the onion rings and especially the bacon scalloped potatoes, although the macaroni was just ok, sort of bland and dry, I have had much better. The steak was great but cooled quickly if you didn't eat it right away. Our server was ok, seemed a little dismissive to us two ladies dining alone, was much more friendly with the table of guys near us and other waiters and seems short with us and our questions about the steak. I enjoyed the food and restaurant but my friend and I both decided that Ruth's Chris is still far and above our favorite and a higher quality of food. Wont go back on my own, only if we were taken by someone else.
