Vintage Bar and Grill is a dressy American restaurant with a classy atmosphere. Come with a partner and start out with Peking duck tacos or grilled octopus. Move on to a grilled pear salad or the Angry Spaghetti pasta dish served with lump blue crab. Vintage offers several savory entrées, such as the soy lacquered organic salmon with stir-fry vegetables, lamb porterhouse chops or the filet mignon medallions that are gorgonzola crusted with a port wine reduction. The extensive wine list features wines from all around the world that will pair nicely with your dinner. Handmade cocktails are also available for before or after dinner.
Finish the memorable dinner at Vintage with one of the delicious desserts such as the chocolate peanut butter tart, graham cracker crusted cheesecake topped with raspberry sauce and whipped cream or the hot white Russian served with Stoli vanilla, Kahlua and cappuccino.
The service was terrible. When we finally got seated after waiting at the bar and got menus nobody came to take our order until we waived somebody down.
The cowboy rib eye were not worth the price as it was tough and chewy and if this is supposed to be a steak house the quality of the meat was subpar.
The noise level was deafening. Most of the desserts were no longer available. Why bother giving us the dessert menu at all. They put together 2 dessert plates for us to share which I feel they should have been gratis.
When we were leaving we were told it was their last night as the place has been sold and will reopen as another restaurant.
Amazing food, great service and atmosphere. Delicious!
Guess I'm missing the appeal of this place; second visit in a year. Same sort of musty smell when you first walk in. But what really hits you is the absolutely outrageous noise level. Really should invest in some some dampening material on the low ceiling. Couldn't here my wife speak, nor barely the wait staff. Food was just ok. No better than Fanatico near by, but twice the price. I'm sorry, as I really wanted to like this local place. Sort of cool decor, but certainly cannot make up for the noise. Also, at a price point of this restaurant it needs a matre'd, not just a young lady looking to see what tables are full or empty. Missed several marks!
I had made a last minute reservation to Vintage on Sunday evening for my birthday. We have passed Vintage so many times driving, and have never actually been inside. The ambiance was cozy, warm, and intimate. My reservation was with my family, and we had a lovely time. Our waiter, I forget his name, went above and beyond. He made us feel so welcome, and was so attentive the entire time. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but I'm assuming it was because it was 9PM on a Sunday. The food was excellent, and cooked perfectly. The music was wonderful and the overall feel was nostalgic. The only complaint was that we sat by a window in the main dining room on the left. There was no light above us to read the menu! The two nearby sconces were not enough lighting so we had to use our phones as flashlights! Other than that it was great! This place is perfect for families, a date night, or even a night out with friends.
I had fish, it was good, but not great considering it was $32. The guys who had French onion soup and steak thought the food was very good.
Restaurant was eligantly decorated and atmsophere nice. Food was superb, however it was pricey. The restaurant was not full on a Saturday night and this might be due to high cost. Waiter advised that it was not busy during the week.
Everything was delicious!!! Couldn't ask for better. Only issue was they made an error and overcharged on drinks, but they promptly corrected error when we told them. Otherwise perfection. Staff is so nice and welcoming, always want to come back.
I have nothing bad to say. The dishes were great! I had a chicken dish and the others had a Filet Mignon and a Rib Eye. Everyone loved what they had. I would come back and highly recommend.
Great food and outstanding service as always. Still one of the best values on Long Island
Vintage is an excellent place for any kind of meal. The food is creative and tasty, but not ridiculously expensive. My wife and I shared three "course". First, the burrata, which was delicious. It came with tomato, arugula and ham, with a balsamic vinegar dressing that was wonderfully sweet. Second, we split the angry spaghetti, which comes with lump crab meat and has a great spicy kick. Finally, we had their special steak, which was cooked to perfection and sliced for us. A great touch of garlic was added which enhanced the taste. It was delivered sizzling hot and covered with lightly fried onion strips. Just a great meal.
From the French Onion Soup, Grilled Pear Salad, Gorgonzola Cheese Salad for appetizers to our entrees, each dish was fabulous! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent service and food!
We have eaten here several times and it was always very good. The service was terribly slo this time and the food was very overlooked . It was also extremely noisey.
I ordered the special Rib Eye steak. It was the worst steak I have ever been served. I had to work through fat and grizzle on every bite and at the end, my plate was half full of inedible gnarly fat and grizzle. When I raised the issue the waiter offered me dessert. I have been eating Rib Eye steaks from the Maneros family for over 30 years and have never had a steak like this.
Went for dinner at 745 on Wed night for a business dinner with 4 people. There were about 4 other tables sitting. The restaurant was deserted and the staff was no where to be found.
After getting drinks after sitting there for 10 minutes... Every waiter and bus boy disappeared for about 15-20 minutes. Seeing this as a bad omen of things to come we just paid for the drinks and left. Nobody even cared.
Went down the street to Kashi -- amazing food and service.
Vintage ownership should take some lessons from Kashi.
Everything about Vintage is perfect.. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, everything is amazing.. I highly recommend Vintage to anyone looking for an amazing meal
Vintage never disappoints! the food is excellent and the service is very professional. The fillet Mignon is the best I ever had!
Love the decor and food was fabulous
We love going to this restaurant. We can always count on it for a great meal.
My second time for dinner last week and enjoyed it thoroughly. First time I had the salmon and it was fresh and moist. Next I had the skirt steak and it was surprisingly tender and very tasty.
The salads were also fresh and well prepared. The service is professional and courteous albeit
less consistent than the food but nothing to complain about.
Crowded on weekends but if you like a bit of a scene it works. If you want a quiet culinary experience go on a weekday night.
Definitely will go back in the near future.
Vintage remains a favorite of mine. Food and service are consistently amazing. The beer appetizer was so huge it could have been an entree!! Can't wait to go back again!!
The food at Vintage is amazing every time we dine. We try to go on the earlier side to avoid the dinner rush and noise. It truly is delicious and reasonably priced for a steakhouse.
Great restaurant. Second time at Vintage, first was in Smithtown and that was also 5 stars. Definitely worth a visit. Went before a show at Westbury. Close and just as good, if not better than, Frank's Steaks.
When you go to an expensive restaurant you expect a certain level of service and although the food was good when we eventually got it. Our waiter was missing a lot and I mean a lot. My dinner companion even mentioned to the waiter that he needs to check on us more. Our drinks remained empty for a long time. It got annoying and we left a 15 percent tip which was generous in my opinion
The server was excellent. I believe his name was Alex. The Porterhouse was ordered medium and it came out rare. Not medium rare, but rare. I frequent alot of steak restaurants, the steak was not cooked as ordered.
Went for Mother's Day. My son was disappointed as they were out of the streak sandwich and burgers ...but his steak was delicious. Had a nice experience. Very friendly waiter
When we arrived we noted a single employee responsible for valet parking and the cars were practically backing up into Jericho Turnpike. I realize that many diners do enjoy valet parking but if there is a staff of 1 it might be best to have optional valet parking.
The bar is small with seating for about 6 and there was an awesome female bartender who had to be excellent. My wife and I began our evening by having a drink at the bar and it was most enjoyable. We were sat immediately after spending 20 minutes at the bar.
Prior to dinner we ordered the thick cut bacon and it was good. For dinner we ordered the petite filet and a bass that was garnished with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The dinners were excellent. There were times where the waiter disappeared for a while but it did make for an easy, relaxed evening. We will definitely consider this restaurant again whenever we are looking for a nice night out.
we had a wonderful time at the restaurant The food and service were very good.
Nicely decorated place, but mediocre food and presentation. Tried it during restaurant week so maybe the prix fixe was not typical, but isn't the point to attract new customers? Won't be back.
