Vintage 1891 Kitchen
First time here and every dish was excellent. The appetizers we had were the crostini and the tuna tartar both were killer. The lobster Paella was amazing and event the desserts were awesome, the ricotta kisses and the chocolate cheesecake with berry compote was a little piece of heaven. Would go back here in a heartbeat. It was Mother’s Day so it was busy and not one misstep.
We’ve been dining here since it opened, and remain entranced by the “private party” atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. But what impresses me most is how consistently great the food is. This weekend we had the paella and a lamb special, and both were delicious and beautifully presented. Even the romaine salad was notable, with crunchy shallots topping the sharable dish. The tuna tartare is always a hit. Great service topped it off. Kudos to Amy and the entire staff for achieving one of the hardest things for a restaurant - keeping things at the highest level, maintaining consistency and making every visit feel like a special event.
Vintage is our favorite restaurant in South Westchester. The food tonight was terrific really delicious. The great Paella and newish Chicken Milanese were wonderful. The service, personnel ambience and (of course) the food, keep us coming back. Tonight continues the streak.
The food was absolutely delicious. There are still some things I would like to go back and try. Ben was a fantastic and friendly waiter. Just a little loud on a Saturday night but otherwise amazing restaurant.
Always love going to Vintage. Nice relaxed but elegant vibe and always feels cozy & welcoming. food is always delicious & service is excellent
First time there
Warm and friendly
Wonderful friendly service
Will definitely go back!
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Perhaps noise level a little too loud.
We love this restaurant. Tonight we had appetizers and the lobster paella. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend the paella. The rice was so creamy, the fish cooked to perfection. Service was just right, attentive and not intrusive. We will definitely come back.
Dennis is a great server! All excellent nice might.
For an older group with or without hearing aids the sound level is too loud but it is a reflection of structure
A wonderful spot for great food with a great bar.
Many food choices and their truffle popcorn is fantastic.
Great food and service. A little noisy.
The food here is great and the service was great everything is very fresh and prepared well. The menu changes and they have specials that I recommend. We will be back soon
Food was fresh, inventive and delicious. Wine was well priced and good quality. I miss the polenta crusted oysters though!
A refreshing new find in an area swamped with Italian and Mexican eateries! Love the menu!
Got there before the crowd and enjoyed easy conversation. Food was terrific, service very accommodating! A lovely and delicious dining experience!
The last two meals have been really terrific. We have had the specials for the evening. Last Saturday it was a Mahi Mahi and tonight a chicken breast Milanese. We love the host of regular offerings. The specials show more of the chef’s imagination and make it that much more exciting to return as regularly as we do. Vintage is our favorite in Southern Westchester and there have been so serious challenges to the title.
Love going to Vintage for special occasions. They always make us feel special and the food is awesome! Thank you Vintage!
busy place ; somewhat noisy ; service is hit and miss -- for example asked for bread with our cheese platter: "I'll see if we have any"
This was our first time at 1891 Kitchen. We saw the listing on the Hudson Restaurant Week website. We did think that the night we attended was still part of the event but found it wasn't the case. It didn't matter, we all enjoyed the food and the staff. It is a little noisy when the tables are filled but it is a wonderful find in Larchmont.
We have recommended vintage to many of our friends and have received very favorable responses from everyone. Monday we went with another couple and all of us were very happy! This is a go to restaurant when you want to be treated well and served great food
We went on a double date with my son and his girlfriend. We went early so the room was quiet and slowly but surely the tables started to fill as the appetizers came out. We started with cauliflower fritters, calamari and honey pesto crostini’s. Then we made our way to 4 different salads that were all delicious. The main entrees were amazing. From pasta to pork chops to fish, each one of us were savoring each and every bite. As a matter of fact, each meal was so delicious we didn’t have room for dessert. However, we plan to go back for dessert one night. The ricotta kisses are calling to me.
We are long term fans of Vintage. However, last night was terrific. Two specials were great. A cerviche and a stuffed sole. Add an excellent bottle of wine and the result was a home run. Vintage’s track record is astounding. Last night continued the hitting streak. I have said this before but we have never had the pleasure of such consistency from the food to the wine, to the personnel and the whole ambience. Great
The food was terrific always fresh and delicious. The service was great the waiter was on point. Every time we comes here it gets better.
Everything was great. Food, service, ambience. A bit loud but not unexpected for a Saturday night
Vintage 1891 is an attractive space with a nice ambience and excellent service. I went with a couple of friends and we enjoyed a few drinks, and a couple appetizers and salads. The price was pretty high and the drinks were more fruity than alcoholic. The cauliflower fritter appetizer was quite good and the beet salad was ok but somewhat under-flavored. Overall it was a nice place to sit and chat, although it got quite crowded by the time we left - and we were asked to vacate our table for the next party. Since we were there a long time it was understandable but I think it could have been handled a bit better by the maitre d'. I have never been asked to leave a restaurant before and would have expected them to at least offer to seat us at the bar.
This is one of my favorite restaurants. So beautiful. Very diversified menu with many vegetarian options. All so delicious, and well priced. Great drinks. Great service by the friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Always a good experience. Service always pleasant and responsive. Enjoy the food. Only criticism is menu does not change much over time.
Great food and wonderful service.
Staff was wonderful and took great care of us. They even offered us a private room for our party of 10 at no extra cost. Food is excellent will definitely be going back
Great place and lovely ambiance. Food is very good, service could’ve been more attentive. I’ll be back!
The food was very solid - salads and other appetizers were all enjoyed. The main courses were also good - a lobster paella, a filet mignon, seafood pasta, etc. Not a super memorable meal but solidly executed and the staff was nice and attentive.
They could stand to add a little noise reduction material under the tables on on the ceiling so reduce the excess noise - too hard to talk for the size space - the large curtains separating the dining from the bar area are not enough...
On this night, like so many other nights, we had a great meal. Food, service. wine, ambience just as we have come to fully expect. A great dinner.
This restaurant is very good the food is always good and prepared fresh daily. They have great appetizers along with entrees , the service is excellent. They have great cocktails and a nice wine list give it a try you won’t be disappointed.
We’ve been dining here since it opened and I have to say how impressed I’ve been with the consistency and quality of the food. The space remains beautiful and romantic and comfortable, the ambiance feels like a private party and everyone seems to be having a good time. Loved the cauliflower fritters, tuna tartare, seared salmon and the filet mignon. Bravo Amy and crew.
Food and service was excellent!
We dine here frequently, as it is one of our favorite local restaurants. The shirt fins were fabulous- tender and flavorful. We'll be back again and again.
The cliche "Neighborhood Gem" really applies to Vintage. The homey atmosphere, the super
friendly servers (without being obtrusive), and the outstanding food all keep my wife and me coming
back to Vinatge, along with our friends. Although the ribs, chicken, etc. are excellent, I almost
always opt for the seafood which is the freshest on the planet, and comes with great sides.
If you like fried calamari, this place is the "Gold Standard" that very few others even come close to.
Also, the lobster paella is fantastic, and a bargain.
