Disappointed should have mentioned specifically in description that this is part of Cinetopia and not really a restaurant/bar. If I was waiting for a movie this would be fine and a nice before or after spot but as a standalone space -- no.
It was my turn to plan a movie/dinner outing for our group of women. Eight of us saw a movie at Cinetopia, then went upstairs to Vinotopia for dinner. We were in a back room by ourselves so it was very quiet--except for our chatter! It was a Wednesday so most of us took advantage of the $5 hamburger deal. Drink prices were affordable. The service was very good. Most of the women had not been there before but said they would go back.
Next to the movie theater but great sandwiches and great happy jour
First, the map on Opentable was wrong. It took us to an apartment complex behind a Casey’s Convenience Store. That made us 20 minutes late for our 6:15 reservation. When we did get to Vinotopia there was no hostess or greeter, just a sign that said “Seat Yourself”. There were a few people at the bar and a small group in front of the fireplace. It looked like they were napping. We took a seat near the window. There were some menus on the table. We didn’t realize that the restaurant menu was the same as the movie menu, including the same inflated prices. We sat at our table for about five minutes without seeing a server or being approached by anyone. We were there for my wife’s birthday and the lack of ambience and service was too much. After about 5 minutes at our table we got up and left. No one said a word as we left. We won’t be back.
Hands down our server made the night. He was very courteous and made sure we made our movie on time.
We really enjoyed dinner! Great wine pairings. Excellent Service.
This is a walk in restaurant in movie theater. They shouldn’t be on openable
Overall, pretty disappointing. One of our party had the salmon sliders and they were OK. The truffle fries were good, but a bit greasy. I had a Cobb salad and much of the lettuce in the salad could not be eaten. I ate what I could but brought the rest home and threw out the lettuce in the meal. The other ingredients of the salad were fine. I think this restaurant gets the majority of its business with the people using the option to take their food to the theater, which is a unique concept. Just wish the food had been better! The server was attentive and we appreciated that!
The price for a pint of Michelob Ultra was $7.75. It is only $4 at Rock and Brews across the street. The service on the patio was slow.
I tried a new pasta on the menu ... chicken Alfredo )spicy Cajun) it was incredible bland
We went for drinks and appetizers as a start to the night. We wanted to sit on the awesome 2nd story patio but it was closed :(
The food was very good as usual, and the service was better than other times we have been there.
Fab happy hour & chicken tenders
Celebrating a birthday
Best place to celebrate a birthday party
Best Mac & Cheese I've ever had. The place was empty in the early evening. We were there for a 6:30 movie, and had dinner before it.
Fun and great venue
Enjoyed sitting outside on patio
Food was good - but nachos came out cold. Need more servers. Drinks are quite pricey. John our waiter was excellent.
Great low key location
We sat in the bar area for happy hour, I give a lot of credit for the bartender/server/host running the restaurant alone.
We found the restaurant just fine on the second level of the movie theatre; it was not busy so there was no check in at the Hostess - we were told t sit anywhere we liked by a waitress. The atmosphere is nice and has great views over looking art gallery open walking trail however the taller than bench seat walls are blocking the best views - you have to be out on the terrace or in the party room (which was closed the night we were there) to be able to enjoy the sunset and view. The fireplace does add a nice ambience however. We found the food just average and not special in taste (turkey sandwich and lemongrass chicken skewers). We explained to our waitress we had made reservations for the restaurant through Open Table and wanted them to be sure to check us in . At first we were told the Open Table site is difficult for them to get into and does not work for them most of the time; after our asking to please try to credit us with OT, we were finally informed they were successful in getting our Open Table reservation confirmed as kept. The wait staff was pleasant and did do a good job of tending to our dinner service. If we do decide to go back it would be dinner/movie combination again. We would prefer seating by the fireplace or outside on the terrace to enjoy the view as those to us are the prime seating locations.
It was a slow Tuesday night at Vinotopia. Which was great for me! The service was excellent. Great meal before seeing a movie.
Good food and plenty of tvs to watch the big game!
Outside signage misleading, huge sign saying Vinotopia upstairs with arrow after looking for stairs and not finding any we walked down the length of the building and around the corner to enter into cinetopia to take escalator up to restaurant There was one couple sitting at bar and no employee visible. We picked our table and found our own menu and waited a few minute until bartender came. While waiting we noticed the long gas fireplace, very nice design, but that glass was very dirty on the inside and it doesn't appear to be any way to clean. She was nice and very helpful and after a few minutes we ordered an appetizer and our meal. Food was good price a little high, but the fact that this is the same as theater ordering it was expected Wine list small but good
I made a reservation for my birthday. This place is the worst place. I was so embarrassed becase there were no enugh staff to take oders. Me and my six guests had to move to another place which is kona grill. I will never think of Vintopia again. Very dissapointed
Excellent meal b4 the show
Fun happy hour
Nice quiet meal (fab chicken) w/ family before a movie
Fab food in the theater & resturant
Really disappointed in the quality of food. Great place for a drink but that's it.
Great meal while getting ready for our movie
Too bad that such a beautiful restaurant is diminished by such horrible service. The bartender was apparently the only person acting as host. He was rude and dismissive. In the three hours we were there he refused to wait on us. If we wanted something we had to go to him. We love this place but the service is non-existent.
Fav movie food
Vinetopia has all the things it needs to be successful....except service. It has a great floor plan with upscale ambience, complete with a piano and self-serve wine dispensers. Unfortunately, you can have all the bells and whistles you want, but without service and a true 'dinner' menu, it isn't going to happen. We arrived and were greeted by....no one. When asked if we needed to see someone in order to be seated, the person behind the bar acted like we should know the rules, "just sit anywhere and we will be with you when we can." Um, that wasn't exactly the greeting we were expecting. After sitting for nearly 10 minutes without a soul in sight, we got up and walked out.
The menu is typical fare that you would expect at a movie theater. If you're expecting to come to this nice place and have a steak or a chicken or pasta dish, go some place else.
Fabulous food b4 the movie
It literally took over 20 minutes to get drinks (and even longer to bring two appetizers which consisted of pretzel bites and nacho's) all while there was just one other table with two people. While deciding what entrees to order, the waiter even advised us we were better off going into the theater to order food. This was probably the worst experience which is pathetic because the actual place is rather nice. Too bad the service could not match.
We made reservations via OpenTable for dinner before our 8pm movie. Several of the time slots were full, and the best time we could find was 5:45pm. We didn't want to choose a time too close to our movie time and either not be able to finish our meal or miss the start of the movie. Imagine my surprise when we arrived and A) there was no host/hostess (not even a hostess stand) and B) the place was close to empty. We had to stand around by the bar waiting for someone to acknowledge us. Then, we were told to just sit anywhere. This means we showed up over 2 two hours before the start of our movie for absolutely no reason. Yes, the floor to ceiling windows provide a great view. They also provide a fantastic way for the setting summer sun to make the dining room absolutely unbearably hot and bright. We were there in the hottest part of summer, but once the sun started shining directly through the windows, it became too hot to eat. That cut our dinner short and left us even more time to kill before we go into the theater.
The food was pretty good. The service was attentive, as it should be for an empty dining room.
We shared the hazelnut chicken dish w/ fresh veggies ... Very very good ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Walked in for the reservation and there was no one there to seat clients. The bartender came out and said that traffic is light on Sunday and there was no one to seat. We were told to pick our table and then we would be served. The bartender did follow up, bring water and menus. My wife and I decided that given the lack of staff that we would go to another restaurant. We left and went to another place close by. While we see potential here it is not a place we would likely give another chance to.
We had 15 people meet for their fabulous happy hour - great glasses of red/white wines only $3 & the salad were fantastic
