We went here for brunch recently and really enjoyed the food and bottomless mimosas. Service was great as well. The only downside is that the acoustics are absolutely terrible- the restaurant wasn't even full and we had to practically shout to be heard.

Brunch with friends here is always a pleasure. The food is as expected, delicious! Ambiance never disappoints. Especially the music selection!!! Always options weather inside, outside, at the bar or in the rear courtyard. And most importantly, never seems to be overcrowded like most Brunch spots in DC. 💁🏾‍♂️

The service was awful. Plain and simple. There was only one waiter in the entire restaurant and he was combative. Their pancakes were delicious though!

Food was decent but nothing special. Bellini was good, but I would see this as a good spot for a glass of wine and small plates rather than for brunch.

We had a good time at Vinoteca. The service was just OK. We had to beg for our server to bring us food and mimosas. The noise level was loud which wasn’t an issue but it did make the group have to shout to hear each other.

We had the worst experience here for brunch last Sunday. Though we have been several times in the past, something has changed. This was caused by the deplorable customer service. We came in and were seated quickly. The staff was pleasant until our waiter came over to get our drink order. My friend ordered a spicy bloody mary. It was extremely spicy and almost pure salt... we like spice but neither of us could drink it. He asked the server if he could switch to a regular bloody mary and was told it wouldn't change a think, he asked again can I just try it... the sever was extremely rude and said "no I told it it wont change", stormed off and then cam back with just the mix. He tried it and it was not good, so was about to order a mimosa instead, but the waiter didn't even wait we had to ask him to stop so we could order. The waiter responded "Do you want to try that too? Are you sure, you should try it first... have you ever has a mimosa?" We tried to let it slide, but when the next member of our party joined us five minutes later the waiter came over, he ordered a mimosa and said "Do you want to try it first? Maybe you should taste it..." The table was shocked, this friend was not even here and our waiter was rude and confrontational for no reason... The waiter then turned to my friend (who ordered the bloody mary) and said: "Do you want to try his first?" At this point, we decided to just leave... I have never been treated like this in a D.C. restaurant, we used to love this place and will never return. Disrespectful, rude, and outright disrespectful. Poor marks all around do not go here.

Vinoteca serves great food, but the venue is so loud that even the staff can’t hear. This creates a really lousy brunch environment even if the food and drinks are great. Please invest in some sound control for the dining room

We were really disappointed so we just left. There was no host/hostess, and to get service outside you had to go to the bartender who was doing too many things at once. Food might be good, but who wants to pay $20+ a person to essentially get counter service only?

Truly terrible experience this past Sat night. Have been to Vinoteca several times and never had an experience like this. Waited 20 mins after being seated with no server. Eventually host (Not server) came to take order after I pointed it out but said he had “never done this before.” When server finally came over, we asked “are you our server?” Response was “I could be.” Kitchen ran out of staples including burgers, chicken wings, etc. One of the very few other tables in the dining room walked out. I think Vinoteca needs to determine whether it is a full service restaurant or not. If it is not, then stop pretending and set expectations accordingly.

They were out of the first 4 bottles of wine we wanted to order. Then we told the manager to select a bottle that fit the description we were looking for but didn’t want the price to be outrageous- he brought us a $200 bottle. Food was mediocre, service terrible and what wine bar is out of wine?!
