Yesterday I went with my husband for dinner we had a bottle of wine Valpolicella very cheep wine and delicious! Food was unbelievable so good and tasty! We eat so much until we clean the plates that’s how good it was and we weren’t that hungry!
Great service everyone was kind and polite very professional!
The best Italian food that we ever had! Impressed!!!
Can’t waite to go back!!!
Honestly I live in the north end and thought I would switch it up and try this place. It’s terrible.
The homemade pasta was amazing, as was all the food. Service was also wonderful.
I can't say enough about the food. Everything was delicious! Can't wait to comeback.
Loved our experience. Intimate dining area, yet not crowded. Our food was excellent and the server gave us the appropriate amount of attention without being overbearing. All in all, a great experience in the North end.
The staff were very friendly and attentive. Loved the fresh-made pasta. Good location in Boston’s North End. Cozy but not not loud.
We chose Vinoteca di Monica for a combination Valentines Day and birthday celebration that included friends from out of town who had never been to the North End. We arrived early for our reservations and decided to have a drink at the bar; we ended up having a nice conversation with the bartender, who talked us into being seated in the bar area. The service, as usual, was outstanding as was the food (including a Veal Parmesan that was head over heels better than any I'd ever tasted) and wine (best wine list in the North End). Helpful note: despite the small size of the bar area, it's a little quieter there than in the main dining room.
We loved everything! The waitress was super efficient and so kind . The wine was excellent. The quality and flavor of all our dishes was suberb!! Best restaurant in the Northend!
Amazing food and service. Can’t wait to go back!
As always exceptional food and service.
Love this restaurant.
Meals were less than average. Salty and not very flavorful. Waitstaff was excellent and ambience was very nice.
The food was fantastic and pretty reasonably priced. Tables were abnormally close together, which would be my only complaint - it's hard to have a romantic dinner when there's maybe a foot in between your table and others on each side.
Celebrated two birthdays. Had reservations which is needed given the size and how busy it was. All staff very welcoming and polite. We were happy with our meals, with the exception of the Cesaer salad. Amount of food a bit small for a couple of adult men, but were delicious in taste. We didn't feel rushed despite the crowds. I would recommend to others.
Despite the fact that there were many empty tables for 2, at least 10, they would not seat me until my husband arrived. When we were finally seated, there were still empty tables. My husband got the veal Parm which was very good. I got the fried artichoke, horrible. We both spit them out but didn’t complain at this point. I also got pasta with clams, oil and wine. It had no taste and sat in a 1/2 inch of water. I love to cook and I was extremely disappointed. They removed the charge but dinner was ruined. Also, they forgot to bring our salad. This restaurant was recommended by a friend but we won’t be back.
We've dined there many times, and it's fabulous every time we come! Excited to get some fresh pasta from the new shop next door :)
Still the best in the north end, they are spectacular and Remain great after all these years
My wife and I went to Monica’s for Sunday brunch and had their equivalent to eggs Benedict. As we went early, it was quiet in the book in which we were seated. Service was excellent and attentive. The eggs Benedict were well done and delicious. We would recommend Monica’s.
One of the better places in the North End. Service was top notch, wine list very extensive but well rounded in prices from $30-$100+. Bibb salad was perfection! Chicken Marsala was extremely good but small portion. Would have given 5 stars if that portion was just slightly larger but will come back!
First time and we are looking forward to our next visit. The service was outstanding, the food was some of the best I have had in the North End. I highly recommend dinning at Vinoteca di Monica!
We are long-time Boston residents, and are always a little disappointed in North End italian - pretty traditional italian food - nothing as remarkable as it could or should be. Our favorite restaurant in the area had been "The Daily Catch,"
These guys don't really change the dynamic here - the special was eggplant parm, and there's mostly traditional italian dishes on the menu.
But they make their own pasta, and it is really delicious. So that is what makes this restaurant a find.
We came early on a Friday night (6.00) and it was not crowded, so our service was excellent and we could space out a bit (dinner for 3).
It's a nice choice. And valet parking.
