Great time, great food, took my seating preferences seriously! will be back!
The food portions were smaller than expected but otherwise it was very good.
Went for a girls dinner, happy hour specials were great! We did preset tapas for $25 each and they were amazing!
Nice, lively crowd. Everything was tasty!
Food was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend and I looove good food so this was an excellent spot to indulge
Great food especially the beacon , and the pork belly was amazing . Though the place is extremely noisy and that even after happy hour and on Wednesday night. Most seating is very cramped together and so it’s hard to hear each other and have intimate dinner. There a few dates around us and it’s degin was not too enjoyable for them. Also the service is friendly but slow. The happy hour is great though and drinks are so cheap and actually strong too . The value for a meal accumulates fast as the dishes are small
The perfect spot to meet a friend and enjoy an amazing shared meal. I come here at least once a month and have never been disappointed. It’s a gem in the Murray Hill neighborhood. Make a reservation because walk-ins during happy hour can be difficult to seat.
Amazing as always
I had a birthday brunch followed by happy hour and couldn't have been more pleased! Our server was amazing, we had a great table and I love that they have happy hour drinks all day on Sunday until 8! The food is delicious as I tried several dishes and the big bowl goat cheese salad with hazelnuts and greens is a great value for $10. Guests have gotten in touch with me and said they look forward to returning!
The cold cheese plate was great and so were the flatbreads. The pricing was very reasonable for Manhattan. Nice place to visit time to time.
The food is outrageously delicious with the many selections of tapas to your hearts content. Our favorite dish is fried calamari, pulpo and bacon bacon bacon
I had a great time with my friend for dinner after a stressful work day. The waitress Irina was absolutely amazing! She knew the menu so well and was delightfully friendly and thoughtful. We were there from about 7pm-9pm on a Tuesday and the noise level did become notably louder as the evening went on. Would definitely recommend for a date night.
Amazing as always!!!
Came in on a weeknight around 6 and it was very empty. We ordered a few tapas and they all came out pretty quickly. The honey ribs were the favorite, but most of the dishes were doused in sauce which took away from the natural flavors (cauliflower, patatas bravas). Was looking forward to having a great tapas place so close but the search continues
Best place ever... Irene is amazing!
I went for my birthday and we were tricked into going
We enjoyed everything about VinoTapa. The tapas were delicious and the service was impeccable.
We were/are very appreciative, that this restaurant has a Happy Hour, until 8pm. The drinks were prepared very well and the portions were abundant.
The manager made sure that we were very comfortable, satisfied and we appreciated his genuine concern.
We will, most definitely, return to VinoTapa and is highly recommended.
I was very excited to try this spot out but was equally disappointed. The service was horrendous and it took an hour before they even noticed our appetizers had not arrived. The owner came to apologize, stating they had not prepared for the Sunday night rush due to Presidents’ Day, however that was it. Very cute spot with a menu that looked great, but they were very Unapologetic about The lack of service and fact that after an hour and a half, our food had not arrived.
I go here very often, it never fails to supply good food and drink. Gem of the neighborhood.
Had a great time with friends. Sangria and tapas were wonderful.
Salad and crocket, pork belly are my favorites.
6 dishes and 3 beers and 2 glasses of wine for $130 including tip. Good deal!
Great little find and way better than expected! Fab food, sangria’s were amazing (happy hour prices) and staff were wonderful! Great, buzzing atmosphere and highly recommend.
Felt rushed by server - so rushed wasn't sure if I had left cash tip or not because she swooped in to take the bill. The food lacked flavor. My sangria had a 1/8 Orange wedge inside glass which was clearly added when drink was served. Dessert was terrible. Even after expressing disappointment to the server she didn't offer alternate or even to take off items of plates that were noticibly full and unfinished.
Very ordinary tapas. Cheap happy hour drinks though.
The only thing off the menu that stood out of the 6 things we ordered were the glazed ribs
We made a reservation for 9PM and was not seated until 9:25PM. Very inconvenient.
Shishito peppers came out undercooked and the patatas bravas were cold so had to send them back. Also veggie dips were awful. Other than that everything was delicious and the service was wonderful.
The menu is extensive and unique. You can always find a number of wonderful dishes and the menu is perfect for sharing. The wines can't be found anywhere else and are a great value. The cocktails are wonderful and creatively designed. You will not find a more engaging staff and thoughtful staff. The make every visit a special occasion.
The biggest positive is the octopus - it's out of this world. Also, the service was great and they accommodated an ever-expanding group of ours with humor and smiles.
The negative is most of the rest of the menu which is, at best, mediocre for NYC tapas. The meatballs, which should be a standard by which all tapas bars are judged, were the biggest disappointment -- dry and tasteless. Won't go back except unless to meet someone for wine and octopus only.
Brunch here is always great. Try the side of bacon. The best.
We had a wonderful time. Staff and owner were amazing. We did the tasting menu and were very satisfied. Definitely would come again!!
I will say it is a bit noisy but I was out with a group of friends so that was fine with me
When we arrived for our reservation our table was ready and waiting for us. We ordered a few tapas and it was nice that they came out staggered as we weren’t overwhelmed with the tapas all at once as we were able to enjoy each one. The ambiance was very nice and open space with a welcome feel. Looking back to enjoying drinks and tapas here in the near future.
The food is always amazing, and the happy hour prices are on point.
Very solid place for a catch up with friends, date or casual business meeting. Will return.
Deafening noise level. Service was attentive. Some dishes very good: duck, meatballs. Others run of the mill
Third time here. Food is always delicious. The tapas tasting menu is a great value and everything they pick is delicious. My only problem this time around was that a server (not ours) dropped a plate of olives and oil on me and my friend leaving our pants with giant oil stains. Ironically the olives are my least favorite thing but she didn’t know that and although we asked for a replacement, we never got it. There was plenty of food but it’s the principle. Also, a comped dessert or drink would have been a nice gesture considering the damamged clothing. Was going to say something on the way out but there was no visible management and had to catch a train. Usually super loud but wasn’t as crowded as usual. Also, we sat for a long while with no food and then they brought it all out once including cold dips and bread which would have been nice to have earlier in the meal.
Awesome vibes, awesome food and awesome happy hour wine. Teleported me back to Granada with their Patatas Bravas - A MUST ORDER
Service really brought down my experience. I had a rez, but they didn't ask. It was empty and I was told to sit wherever I liked. It only matters for the points, not a serious thing. Water hit the table immediately and then I was forgotten about for 10 mins. All this in an empty restaurant while the staff was at the service bar eating. And the owner was at the bar working on his computer.
Food was average, but it wasn't very expensive. Definitely need more flavor punch. My salad and mussels came out together, so I only took a few bites of the salad before working on the mussels cause I didn't want them to get too cold. The salad with the avocado dressing had zero avocado flavor. Maybe if there were a few pieces in the salad, it might have been better. The mussels in white wine were just ok, and having hard cold bread that a fork couldn't get into didn't make it better. If the waitress had come over at least once, I could have asked for salt. But that didn't happen until I was ready to pay the bill. I'm not into waving my hands around to get service. You either care or you don't.
Found VinoTapa online and decided to reverse for 3 friends and I. Reserving online took less than 5 minutes and got the confirmation immediately. They had our table when we got there, attention was great, the food was delicious. We got sangrias which were good, not the best I have ever had but for the $5 hour happier per glass what else can you ask for. The glasses were big!
VinoTapa is my go-to. I know the waitress and one of the owners by name because of how often I come here! While I definitely show up by myself when I'm craving the blue cheese stuffed dates or patatas bravas, I always bring out of town visitors or groups of friends here for the best tapas in NYC (and I've tried almost all of them!). The menu is creative and the food is so, so good. The $5 sangria until 8pm is also a plus. The outdoor patio is nice in the summer, and it's cozy inside as well. My favorite restaurant in NYC!
