Vinos Finos Tapas and Wine Bar

This was our first visit and we were impressed. The duck confit empanadas were delicious, but our favorite was the breaded goat cheese cakes. They have a large selection of south american wines. On the recommendation of our server we had the Tikal Patriota Malbec. It was very smooth, rich, and fruity. It would be very easy to drink more of this wine, but there are many others to try. Definitely worth more visits.
We had a great time at Vinos Finos. The food was great and we were given great wine recommendations. Our server was super nice and very helpful. Have recommended to a lot of my friends!
Our second visit to this quaint place was just as good as the first time. Great tasting wine and a wonderful meat and cheese board.
Cozy wine bar with a great selection and delicious food. Friendly service. Knowledgeable staff who can recommend great new wines to try based on your taste.
Great place to catch up with friends and share wine and tapas. Quiet enough for conversation with a lively vibe. Small place that's big on atmosphere. Live music Thurs. nights make it a stand out.
Stopped in for a late lunch. Small portions for the price but everything was very good
What a quaint and beautiful little restauarant perfect for quiet gatherings of friends or couples. Our food was delicious and wine selection very interesting. The service we received was attentive and informative. Our server was very interested in ensuring we had a good experience and was eager to have us try different wines. The space is relaxing, low lit, and comfortable. I will definitely be back.
Met a friend for wine and tapas on a tuesday night and it was busy. I made a reservation, just in case. We each had a wine flight, which was fun. There were a lot to choose from. When they are served, they give you a paper identifying each wine, some tasting notes, and a space for your thoughts. Very helpful. Service was tag-team, which got everything out, and was fine. Ordered the cheese plate, some olives, and a portabella mushroom appetizer. All tasty. Will definitely be back.
Vinos Finos had interesting wine selections, friendly and attentive servers and delectable and well prepared tapas. I would recommend for a têtê à têtê with a friend or glass of wine with a group.
This is a nice quiet restaurant that has great food and service. The staff is attentive but not overbearing.
First time and a fabulous place for a first date. Service and atmosphere was definitely top notch.
Was confused a bit, we made reservations for but when we first got there we were told to have a seat anywhere we like. Also, notice some tables with reserved placards. So was a little confused.
One recommendation, the glass of wine choices that were on special seemed to be overpriced. I don't mind paying for a good glass of wine but I felt like $18 for a glass of wine that was on a special mention when we first got there was a little too much.
Finally, would definitely be visiting again. Wonderful place and pretty good food! :)
Lovely people, wines available in a flight to allow you to taste, light bites just perfect with a glass of wine.
Could not ask for a better night of wine, food, service and conversation.
This is my third time dining here and each time has been better than the first
This has become our favorite place to enjoy our date night. We met Luciano a couple of years ago and he has become a great friend. A great selection of wines, small plates that are delicious, and service that is top notch. We love this place! Highly recommend for a night out, date night, girls night out, etc. Don't miss out. Go check out Vinos!!
One of my favorite go-to's in North Raleigh, great selection of tapas both small and large plates. Even if you are finicky, you'll find something tasty on the menu! Surprisingly wonderful wine selection as well - and if you aren't quite sure what to order, you'll always get help from the owner; he's a wonderful sommelier with excellent recommendations. :)
We really enjoyed our dinner at Vinos Finos! This is our first time visiting Raleigh an we were looking for a wine bar type restaurant! Everything sounded delicious but we settled on bacon wrapped dates, a grilled romaine steak salad and a bacon wrapped filet mignon! The prices were very reasonable, the service was attentive and friendly and we would definitely go back!
I love the variety of appetizers to have with wine.
Upon arriival the hostess promptly pointed us to our table. Several minutes later the waitress finally came by for our drink order. We ordered 3 small plates and each a flight of wines. The food came out piece by piece and we promptly ate everything. The food was very well prepared and plated. Since we enjoyed it we were looking forward to ordering more, however trying to find our waitress to even glance our way was not easy. I was facing the back of the bar and my wife had her back to the bar. The hostess was to concerned with her can of Sprite and her phone to notice much. The waitress/bartender was the only person who seemed to be working the entire front of the house. My wife turned in her seat and almost stood up to get noticed and we placed our food order but we were not given a chance to order another flight of wine. We had noticed another person walking back and forth talking to 1 or 2 tables, and we assumed he was the manager. He would sit and chit chat with these select few customers until they left and would disapear for a bit. He would bring bottles of wines out to the bar and vanish. When they got busier he suddenly started "helping out" and would bus a table, wipe off the bar, blow his nose behind the bar, etc. After the nose blowing incident and we had not gotten our food yet I was ready to leave. He then walked into the kitchen turned around within 10 seconds and returned with food in his hands. Luckily not MINE! If this wasnt enough the waitress comes out to deliver food to another table with one hand and has 3 rolls of toilet paper in her other hand. This was it for me and we paid our tab, left a 18 percent tip and left. The food was wonderful, the atmosphere was quaint, the service left much to be desired - well unless you go there as a regular, then you are apparently treated well...
Love this place!
We are never disappointed when we dine at Vinos! Fun and casual; always great food with unique flavors that you won't find anywhere else. Warm friendly service. A great place to meet up with friends or enjoy a romantic nite out.
Wine excellent, tapas good, cheese plate mediocre, beer selection lacking.
The food was ok. There were more things we didn't care for on the menu than those we liked. The seared tuna was good. The meatballs had zero flavor. The grilled asparagus and prosciutto was ok. Duck empanadas were ok. Our waitress was less than friendly and had no sense of urgency.
Food and wine were fantastic. Very quiet and relaxing. Good service. If you like tapas, go here!
I was taking my husband and my sons there for my husband's Birthday dinner. I have to say I did not agree with the high rating that was on the website. She seated us at a high back table saying that was all they had and we saw other tables open. The portions were very small for the price and fair as far as taste. The waitress seemed sedated, she was very slow and hardly ever around. She did not make any suggestions for wine pairing or describe any of the food or suggestions for what they had. I was very disappointed for what should have been a more enjoyable meal.
We have eaten at this restaurant 3 times now and we have never been disappointed. The food, service, and atmosphere have been excellent every time. We took 2 different sets of friends during the last two visits and both said they loved everything about the restaurant. We have recommended this restaurant to other people and we look forward to many future visits.
Went here for a quiet anniversary evening out. We each tried a couple of wines and shared several tapas plates that we ordered as we went along. Everything was very good and service was great. Nice relaxing evening.
We spotted this place driving home recently, read the good reviews and thought to give it a try. After trying in vain to book a table on a Friday or Saturday, we found an opening on a Sunday evening and ventured last weekend. We found out that Vinos operates a first come first serve at the weekends which is why we could not book a table for weeks in advance. Place was quiet, no surprise given it was a Sunday and on a holiday weekend. Server was really friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.
We went for a mix of tapas - nice selection, unusual tastes and all perfectly cooked. Portions are on the small size but price and quantity met with expectations. The wine list is extensive and the wine flight we tried was a nice feature to taste some different wines in smaller 2 oz quantities.
Overall it was a pleasant visit and we would probably come back again and try a weekday evening instead. I would say this is the perfect place for a to enjoy a light bite with a glass of wine.
We are new to the Triangle area and were searching for a tapas bar. We travelled a good distance to dine here and were not sorry. Would make the journey again. Food was fresh, combos most interesting, prices fair. Excellent wine list. A great experience overall.
The owner had come to our community for a food and wine pairing event. We loved the tapas served at that event, so we decided to try the restaurant for our 48th anniversary dinner. We found it was a place more for a late afternoon or evening snack with wine. Not enough selections for a dinner. Quality of food was high, but we thought it was expensive for what we got.
We told the owner that we don't visit them enough. Their small plates are a great option when you're not sure how hungry you are or if you just want to try a lot of different things, and the service is personal and professional. We enjoyed two excellent Malbec's while sampling a variety of small plates and celebrating our wedding anniversary. This was our 4th or 5th visit, and we've never been disappointed....and its a good value too!
This is our new favorite spot! Its a great spot to discover a new wine, enjoy a light meal, and have a nice chat with friends. We love the cozy spot with four leather chairs and a low table...you feel like you're in your living room. We had wonderful service too! Vinos Finos is a gem!
I have been here multiple times and have had an amazing experience every time
Food was ok, service ok, wine was good and the goat cheese app was great!
Third time ln this place. Good selection of wines and tapas are great.
This was our second visit to Vinos Finos - and our friends first visit there. It is a delightful atmosphere, the owner was very welcoming and friendly, and the food -- delicious! There is a nice wine selection and we went on Monday night and took advantage of the wine specials. WE had entrees and dessert and each person at our table was 100% pleased with the meal from start to finish. Can't wait to go back!
In a word: superb. The salmon entre was wonderful. The owner came to our table to inquire about our experience. Overall, the restaurant exceeded our expectations. If we get the chance, we will come back.
Vinos Finos is a cozy establishment with about 10-15 tables. We opted for the Valentine's Day Prix Fixe menu and from the unique take on dishes to the perfectly sweetened desserts, we loved every bit of what we tasted. Their wine list was extensive and the bottle we had was excellent, especially for the price. The staff was a bit harried, but I think Valentine's day was a bit overwhelming for their resources. Once the crowd thinned out a little, they were extremely friendly and a pleasure to interact with.
The food tastes and appears processed. The was nothing special that stop out. They did have a goo wine list.
