Had reservation for 4. When arriving we had to make several attempts to flag down a waitress to say that we’re waiting for a table. We finally got hold of a hostess and we’re lead into their covered back patio and they offered us seats in a sofa table together with another couple and not a private table for 4. The whole covered/sealed patio smelled like smoke, and why they allow this, as it’s not legal in California I have no idea. When we said we won’t take a smoking table, they took as back to the main dining room , and after promising a table for four, they soon reverted and said that another party was waiting for it. At this time we had enough and left and we will never recommend or come back again.
We found another restaurant pretty close by in Tarzan called Arcwood which had real hospitality and delicious food.
First time here. Surprised Happy Hour is even on weekends. Tapas were very good. Sangria was also a big hit. The Filet Mignon pinchos we're extremely tasty.
Great food, great ambiance, great wine, great fun!
I've been driving past this place for over 10 years - finally booked a table to celebrate my wedding anniversary last Saturday night. Wow - I was blown away by the food. Everything was delicious. The only downside for the night was the group of 8 energetic 50 + women celebrating a friend's birthday. They got rowdy and loud, and this place is dark and quiet. but they had fun, and so did we - we will go back soon I hope!
The space is rather small so reservations are a must for a table. The happy hour selections are very nice, small plates, good food at a good value. There is live entertainment that starts at 8pm. A nice restaurant to sample a variety of small plates complimented by a glass of wine or sangria.
Amazing Tapas and sangria, it is a lovely restaurant with great ambience
We had a great time and enjoyed all of the tapas we tried.
I go for the wine and food...service needs improvements.
Food was so-so. Service was absolutely horrible. We had to ask repeatedly to get water, an extra fork, etc. The waitress failed to order 3 things we ordered. The music was so loud we couldn't converse, but they did have the musician turn his speaker down (just a bit) when we asked. They have a covered patio at the rear, that would have been quieter, but they allow smoking there. They claimed they have a "grandfathered" status to allow smoking, which makes no sense to me under the Los Angeles smoking ordinance. We don't plan to return.
Awesome tapas and wonderful atmosphere! Wine list extensive. Great live Spanish music. All around great place for celebrating or meeting up!
Very noisy, poor parking situation. Service was outstanding food was bland. Poor wine selection in my opinion for a wine bar
Outstanding experience, phenomenal food, environment and service! Loved it!
Everything was amazing except they brought out my dinner but my wife’s dinner was not brought out. It took them an hour to realize that they were out of the scallops she ordered and then it took another 30min to get served rack of lamb, which the owner wouldn’t comp for us. But we had a blast!
Excellent we love it the owners and servers are kind & helpful
This was my third visit to this tapas room. The ambiance is that of a neighborhood bar. At happy hour the place is hopping. The food is mostly good though uninspired. The ceviche is excellent the two eggplant dishes are good though the one with the drizzled honey is sometimes a bit greasy. The fillet mignon skewer is excellent as well. I would recommend adding few more items to the menu.
The service was friendly fast and excellent. On our last outing there was a guitar player. Though the musician was good, the place is too small for the volume of the music and it rendered conversation almost impossible.
I would heartily recommend this place for happy hour and a casual evening out.
I come here often and I love it! They have an amazing wine list with great variety; there's something for every palate and price point. Their tapas are delicious as well, a lot of comfort food and heavy on the potatoes, meat, and cheese. Ambiance is great and there's live music every time I have gone on weekends. Highly recommend!
Nice place to have a bite to eat and talk. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Not authentic Spanish tapas but the food was good.
When we arrived they didn't have our reservation. The owner sat us on a back room with no view to the main room so we couldn't see or hear the performer. The Tapas were good but the main courses were not that good. All orders came one at a time with some time elapse in between.employees were courteous.
We really like it. The mood was chill food was great service was good and they had a guy playing the guitar. Definitely want to go back
Food is delicious; atmosphere on back patio is great; wine by glass is overpriced ( most $16+) Service - horrible
Great gem in then the Valley! Food is fantastic. Nice ambiance.
The back patio is seriously beautiful! Excellent food and wine as well. Loved it.
Excellent Experience Overall!!!
Service was slow. After the appetizer was brought after a while They brought my steak almost cold .The plate was not heated so the French fries got cold fast.My wife's salmon was brought almost half way after they brought mineThe food was tasty and the music great
Great food and ambiance. Love the live guitar but it is too loud in the main room to be able to have a comfortable conversation.
A small hot spot with amazing Spanish cuisine and live music. Best Paella in town!
Don't think they are use to taking reservations since we were told the wait would be over an hour. Waited until a spot opened up at the bar instead after 30 mineuuts and sat there. But this is still one of my favorite neighborhood gems.
We had a beautiful variety of dishes from the tapas menu and loved almost everything, potato balls, short rib, eggplant chips, bacon wrapped dates. We paired it with a wine flight. Our table was too small for the amount of food and wine but otherwise it was very nice. Service was unbelievably fast. Great experience for a birthday on a Saturday night.
My friend and I went for the first time and We had such a pleasant time. The acoustic guitarist enhanced the whole environment. And We even caught Happy Hour!
I have been here many times but this time wasn't as great. The service took forever and some things were just not good, like the meatballs that were filled with mint leaves (not described on menu) and the ceviche barely had any fish in it. The mushroom soup was really good though. It was way too loud in there to have a conversation also. In general I really like this place so I hope this was a rare occasion.
First try in this place and I would say that it is a very nice experience. It's small restaurant but cozy. I love jazz music and I love that they have someone infront performing instrumental jazz. I went here for a business meeting and we all enjoyed the night with wine and cheese plate. Will definitely come back for hang outs.
Service was not so great, however, I like the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food is also pretty good quality. I do not know if I'd ever return to this restaurant again because it is not very memorable. I believe service should always supersede the whole restaurant.
Great good yes
Great food with many GF, vegetarian and vegan options. Everything was great! Amazing happy hour and live entertainment at 7pm. We loved it!!!
It was exactly what I was hoping when I booked the reservation. Quiet, but not overly quiet. Really pretty setting, nice wine list and a great cheese board. The service was lovely -- never intrusive, but always there when we needed something. If it were a bit closer to me, I'd be back already.
Great tapas and wine list. Terrific happy hour. Friendly service. Entertainment
Enjoy 4 different tapas at happy hour. It was quite busy, we were happy to see, but service was good anyway.
I was truly disappointed in this restaurant I ordered the filet minon medium. First the brought the steak medium well then they remade it Raw to wear you could not cut through the meat, then the Waitress took it back out it back on the grill (a good restaurant knows it looses all flavor when you put it back in the grill) and brought it Mack completely burnt I ate the side and just left the meat. To top it all off the waitress added a 20% tip to my bill?!? Who are you? Makes no sense. Will not be back.
I truly enjoyed the food and wine options. The food is terrific, and we had an amazing Malbec then for dessert we could not find a non-dairy choice so we opted for a French liquor wine which was delicious and perfectly suited our meal. We were able to order GF, non-dairy, no-egg, meat-free options and left really full and delighted with the food and ambience. The service is genuine and we liked the fact they don't seem to rush you out - they want you to enjoy the dining experience and take your European-style time. I'll be back many times.
