Excellent seafood options! Great ambience and service. Server was very knowledgeable on wine and pairing.
I enjoyed my meal at Vino Vino. The food was excellent, and the service was very good. However, the portions were a tad small, and the 80's pop-music didn't really fit the atmosphere one normally expect from a wine bar-restaurant.
Great place for a date with your significant other. Server was very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Server insulted my date. TLDR he thought we were too young to be clientele and was very brisk with his service. For such an expensive meal, it was really offputting
Amazing experience and food
Food and wine were excellent and place is very pleasant. BUT it is very expensive. For my wife and I a place to go for special occasion only!
Great Valentine Day meals with perfect pairings. We had two of the "Love It" meals, each course was nicely prepared, wonderful taste.
We had not been to Vino Vino in a few years and returned to celebrate a birthday for dinner. Fantastic time and glad we chose Vino Vino for occasion.
Friends in town, wanted something relaxing and yummy. Took the well behaved kiddo as well and totally fine. Great food.
The small plates were interesting and delicious. The service was outstanding. Really loved the grilled octopus.
I've always been a Vino Vino fan. The food is elevated but pretentious. All of the wood in the interior is warm and relaxing. Thank you to the staff that found and returned my credit card!!
The food was fantastic. Frankly it was the star of the show. A couple of things: 1. If you are going to call yourself Vino, Vino then have a big selection of wines. The list is a bit of a let down. 2. Invest in a proper menu. There are a lot of gems on the menu but it is laid out poorly and in a small font. Invest in a 8.5x 11" piece of paper :)
Seriously great food however, we will be back.
Always a pleasure to visit this fine establishment. The slightly Gothic lighting, the casual yet attentive waiters, and the delicate yet punchy flavors of the food all add up to a fine time ; - )
We used to come to Vino Vino all the time. Seems to have changed ownership. Less selection of wines and far more expensive. Food quality has fallen. Our service was just weird - we had one waiter at the beginning and then he just disappeared. As in, not at the restaurant anymore. Very sorry that a place where we had some very fond memories has declined so much.
Our table of 6 enjoyed sampling every single plate from the prix-fix menu! What an extraordinary treat! Started with a beautiful 7 piece Cheese Sampler, a lovely Grilled Pear salad, Hummus with house made pita chips, Pasta, Chicken Liver Mousse and Johnny Cakes followed by Lamb, Octopus, Texas Quail, Gulf Prawns, an amazing Pork Belly, Goat Cheesecake (times three - too good to share!) Cannolo and a Hazelnut Gelato. Oh my tastebuds! Thank you Vino Vino for a night to remember!
The Food Fest Friends group.
Our server Skye was so hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. He made our evening! Food fired and timed appropriately and we didn’t feel rushed.
One of our favorite places for fabulous food and wine. Wait staff very versed on their wine offerings and pairing with foods. Lovely romantic dining on New Years Eve. Heading back next week again, but with friends this time. Can’t wait!
New Year’s Eve prixe fix was amazing. Cocktails were great and meal was perfect. Waitstaff was perfectly attentive. Truly a five star experience.
Excellent dinner menu and the food was delicious, wonderful flavors and good but excessive portions. Good selections of wines to choose from. Eric H. our wait person was excellent, attentive but not over bearing. Extremely knowledgable on the menu choices, great description of the lamb kofta, which was fantastic.
This was the second time dining here and like before, everything was OUTSTANDING. The wine selections are out of this world and the food is even more incredible. We got to the end of our meal and we were so pleased that we even re-ordered this dishes we liked!
Thank you, Vino Vino for being so amazing and consistently perfect for date nights.
I can always count on Vino Vino for outstanding service and a cozy and elegant atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Went for a field night out- wine selection was sensational and the cheese tray was just as amazing! The staff were very courteous and service oriented and made certain we were please with our choices. Highly educated on the cheese selections and authenticity to the menu. This place is a hidden gem that everyone should know about and it is tucked aaay right in central Austin! Great escape and ambience! Will surely recommend this place!
Correctly prepared quail. Delicious options. Great wine list. All in an interesting building. Definitely a place to visit more than once.
Vino Vino was a great selection for our Friday night dinner with friends. We started with The 5 cheese tray, olives and soda bread. All excellent but I would suggest a more traditional Tuscan bread instead of the more dense soda bread. We ordered the quail, lamb, and cheese burgers, each dish was tasty and well presented.... there was a good select of wine to complement all of their dishes. The restaurant environment was energetic and had a local tavern sense about it. This was a great place to eat!!
Great happy hour and specials. An amazing wine selection at a good price. Semalier was friendly and made good recommendations.
Really enjoyed happy hour here on Halloween. Wonderful staff. Tasty food and drink. Dinner items look good.
We had six people in our party and decided to do the pre fixe menu. We were all very impressed, everything was delicious! It was a fun meal and we all plan to go back. Sorry it took us so long to find Vino Vino!
Cute neighborhood spot. Interior was charming although it could use some sound dampening. Staff was attentive. The food was delicious: cheese plate, mussels, quail and cannoli. Our bottle of wine was excellent and after dinner cocktail was satisfying. Would definitely go back to sit at the bar for a snack and drink.
Lovely as always
I simply adore Vino Vino! It is so romantic. The food is divine. The service is always great...but a little European in timing (it's laid back) - so if you are headed to a show down the street let the server know in advance. The atmosphere is lovely and we are yet to be disappointed in anything. Also found Dandy Rose there...SO DELICIOUS! love love love
My friend and I went for happy hour and had a lovely time. Their "bad and boozy sangria" was fantastic and we were so glad we tried it. It's only available during happy hour. The cheese plate and snacks were good as well. Our server was helpful and knowledgeable about the cheeses and wine and was very attentive. We will be back to do their pre fixe with pairings dinner very soon.
Vino Vino has an amazing happy hour and an impressive collection of wines; not to mention, their servers have extensive knowledge of pairings - it's absolutely worth a visit! Good for girls nights out, romantic dates, business gatherings, and more.
What a great find! Everything about this place was lovely. Tom, who served us, was incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and made great suggestions on food and wine. He even went beyond his duties and wrote us a list of things to check out in Austin and Houston since we’re new to Texas! The food was also perfectly cooked and the goat cheese cheesecake blew my mind! I definitely recommend checking out Vino Vino!
Great wine bar and excellent food courses. We had at least 4 waiters attending to our needs!
The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The chef was very nice and we enjoyed talking with him as he came out to the table. The drinks were very well priced and well mixed. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date or other occasions.
Delicious food, great wine, love this place!!!
We made a pre-concert visit to Vino Vino. We are loving the new decor and the menu items are very good, too. We enjoyed the cheese plate, although more crackers would have been good. The bread we ordered was very good as well, although it was a specialty bread (soda bread) and not what we expected. The lavender butter is their specialty, but not to my tastes, but the substitute of regular butter worked out well and was quite delicious on the bread. We weren't sure of the by the glass red wines and while the server recommended a special one, when we described our tastes, he readily recommended a different one, and we were really pleased with it. The service was very attentive, although there was a little more of a delay in getting our check at the end, but they were quite busy, so, I understand.
Loved small plate selection and helpful waiter. Wine selection great. Ambience of space was wonderful!
Amazing. Not one thing I would change. One of my favorite meals ever and the pork belly shhok me to my core!
