Vino Italian Tapas & Wine Bar
Great food good service,good wine.
Loved our food and our server was 👍🏼
The food was amazing. The brussel spouts are a must have.
Wine selection and prices surprisingly reasonable for what I selected and the food was terrific.
The noise level was not "energetic" ... your rating scale only goes up to.... but ridiculously loud. My girlfriend I were practically shouting at each other to be heard in our conversation. We left after our meal and being outside your door was like being in a calm atmosphere. Vino's would not be my next choice for a relaxing pau hana.
Great food! The wines are fairly priced. Excellent selctions.
Always amazing food and paired with the best wines. You can’t do any better than Vino. Thanks Chuck and Team.
Our New Year’s Eve late dinner go to. Parking is ample and very convenient. Reservations honored table was ready. Bone marrow and scampi entree were excellent. Daily special, prime rib was so so and just warm, not serving temperature. House wine was excellent. Complimentary Prosecco for our anniversary was a nice touch.
We will be back, hopefully with an updated menu.
Outstanding. The owner is the original master sommelier in the entire state of Hawaii. Extremely knowledgeable. And friendly. Fabulous food. Excellent value. Extensive wine list. Will return when we are back in Honolulu!
Vino is located in a business district past Ala Moana Mall with no view or typical trappings one would expect of a #1 rated Italian restaurant. The restaurant is small and quaint with a very friendly staff. We were seated in a corner next to the large wine cooler, I was a little put off but am glad I overlooked that as we were very pleased with our dining experience. I enjoyed the Malvasia Bianca which was wonderfully crisp and light; the wines were reasonably priced which made having a second glass an easy choice. The homemade bread with herb dipping oil was a wonderful start. The chef sent out an amuse-bouche of a frittata made from farm fresh eggs he wanted to showcase which was a delicious treat. My husband had a custom made dish of fresh handmade linguini, fennel sausage and marinara which he loved. I had the homemade cheese gnocchi with fennel sausage that was superb - little pillows of deliciousness. My daughters had the seafood bolognese and the truffle mac and cheese which they raved about - full of flavor and super creamy. The waitstaff were professional and knowledgeable and kept the meal well paced.
We definitely recommend Vino!
Great value, good Italian , superb service. A good everyday place that’s nicer than most. Will definitely do again
Christmas Eve dinner. Great place but the decor needs to be updated. Feels like the 90s in there.
My husband loved the lamb Osso Buco, very tender and tasty. I did not care for the pumpkin ravioli. The salad and bread were delicious. Waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly, cheerful, and efficient.
Never ever had a bad bite here. Our go to place for all occasions or just because. Friendly staff and great food. If you're a foodie and never been here you're not really a foodie.
Great FRESH food, great service too. Value for your money was outstanding.
First time to the restaurant and we were a little disappointed with the food. It seemed a little bland. We were expecting a bit more of an authentic Italian quality.
Vino's is amazing! We did family style so we could taste everything! Hard to choose a favorite! Can't wait to go back! We have been telling everyone about it.
My husband and I went after a holiday pau hana that had more food than expected, so we only ordered the housemade cheese (stracciatella?), panna cotta, and we each had a couple 2oz. tastes of wine. Everything was delicious. We'll be back for sure. Attentive service and a lovely atmosphere, too. Validated parking is an added value, too.
Celebrated a birthday with friends. Food and service was good! I'm looking forward to eating here again.
We love this restaurant. Great wines, many by the glass. Dishes are creative, delicious and beautifully plated and served.
We found the place while staying for one day with the cruise ship in Honolulu. What a gem! Hidden behind front street unassuming buildings, right across the cruise terminal it delights with incredible food - vegetarian options included, non-intrusive, attentive service and great value for money. I would return in heartbeat. Our entire group of 6 just simply had a fabulous time.
We had the best time. Food was phenomenal, our waiter storm was so amazing, everything was perfect. 100% recommend!
Christmas get together
Always a favorite, neighborhood restaurant. Interesting and reasonably priced wines and the food, always beautifully prepared.
Food is pretty well made, with some good, unique flavors, but the plates are miniature, which is somewhat obnoxious. A great wine selection! This is a great place for a drink, but not so much a romantic dinner.
This restaurant is a favorite of ours they have a great wine list and priced very reasonable it’s a really neat local neighborhood wine bar restaurant
They accommodated every request. The Wine steward was the hit of the night. He picked out a beautiful wine for us that we normally would not have tried. He went out of his way to make sure we really enjoyed it. The food was good but portions could have been a little larger and served a little warmer. Their bread was so good we had to get a second basket. Try the scallops for an appetizer - the very best.
We will return.
We simply love Vino! For the last 8 years, ever since we found Vino in Honolulu for the first time, we've made sure to reserve a table (do it because it's always packed!) and have dinner there at least once during our stay. The owners Chuck Furuya and his wonderful wife mingle amongst the guests and make us feel just as welcomed as their regulars from their neighborhood community. The food's superb homemade Italian inspired - with a twist. Very yummy! And the wines are great - we love the full-bodied Red Schooner Malbec there. We always leave with a big smile and delighted by the experience.
Had an excellent dinner at Vino on Thanksgiving. Impeccable service, outstanding food. A little pricey but high quality. A great place to have a long, intimate meal on a special occasion. I think they try to make each dish special. They even make their own cheese on-site, which was fantastic. Great wine list with plenty of options for affordable glasses. Have been twice now, and we were both impressed each time. Will definitely be back.
Food was amazing - scallops were outstanding. Our server gave great recommendations, and service was excellent. Particularly love how they highlight vegetables from local farms.
One of my top 2-3 go to restaurants in Hawaìi
Went for extended restaurant week menu. Amazing! Good value and great service. Our server, Storm, was very attentive. Will be back again for dinner.
Wonderful experience at Vinos. As is the case with most restaurant experiences, the only downside was our server seemed impatient. And every time she leaned over she would bump into the empty chair that then bumped into me. The service experience was awkward but not awful. Best value for restaurant week dinner. Excellent wine pairings that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you!
Exceptional night! Great food, wine and personal touch with Chuck Furuya!
The fish was really good. The app was okay. The short rib was tasty but the portion was less than average. Dessert was okay. Overall, the meal was okay. The fish dish held up the rating for me. The glasses the wine pairing was served in did not compliment the wine AND the wine was just okay too. My friend didn't finish her last pairing because she didn't care for it.
Love their 2 oz wine portions & amazing panna cotta!
Birthday dinner. We’ve never been and the birthday girl chose. They took us before our reservation time. Waiter was really friendly and helpful. Loved the food. Had a great time and can’t wait to go back
I brought my friends here for the first time & they loved Vino. He especially appreciated the wine pairing plus the extra glasses that were chosen for our other dishes between Restaurant Week courses. Heather is always a wonderful server & all the dishes we had were delicious.
