Everything about it was great, but Alan’s special attention to detail and outstanding service made it a special place for us to have a business lunch with our customers.
We always have my birthday dinner here. The overall experience and food are always outstanding and last night was no exception!
Ate an entire bread basket before someone came over to get drink orders. About 12 minutes. Veal parmigiana was very good.
I’ve been to Vinny’s several times. Always good. Service and food is great. It’s the place we take out of town guests to. Beth was great. Warm and friendly.
Good food, great service! I enjoyed my quiche and the mimosas.
Wonderful place for Easter Brunch with family. We'll be back!
Very noisy restaurant with little to no options for vegetarians and only one gluten free option. Many other Italian restaurants customize their menu for vegetarians but not this one. Even on the normal busy days they don't have enough ppl to serve, so u end up waiting long times to order and the server doesn't have enough time to provide options either
Every single last thing was fantastic. The Gnocchi were little puffs of goodness, the veal meatballs, fantastic.
The food and atmosphere was excellent. The rack of lamb was authentic.
Food was delicious, and Glenn was an excellent server. And we thoroughly enjoyed the birthday dessert plate!
Excellent food, friendly staff, great service, and a kitchen extremely willing to adjust to your needs! This is one of our favorite spots.
Have eaten here several times, the Food is always excellent and service outstanding! Grilled Artichoke apps? YUM!
Love this place! Food and service is always top notch. Celebrated our 12th anniversary & Vinny's did not let me down...
Our dinner experience at Vinny’s on Windward exceeded our expectations. We were seated promptly. The space between tables is ample. The service ranging from our hostess, to water/beverage server, to main server was Five Star Fantastic. The pre-dinner soups (white fish and clam chowder) were excellent. Last but not least the entrees. Two of us had the Scallop and Shrimp Risotto. My wife had the Pizza (trust me, it’s excellent), and our friend had the Lasagna. All four of us were completely delighted with our meals.
Needless to say, we will be back soon. I highly recommend.
Side note: The restaurant is very cozy and allows for conversation without having to yell to be heard.
Vinny's was good. We had chicken parm, meatballs and mozzarella with tomato. The veal meatballs were awesome! The ambiance was wonderful.
Our food and service were both terrific. I regret that I cannot remember our server's name, but he was very friendly, had us taste several wines before selecting, and responded very graciously when there was an issue with my mother-in-law's order. The veal meatballs and gnocchi I had were truly incredible and a great value, and everyone said they loved their entree. Can't wait to go back next time I visit my family there.
Another great experience at Vinny's! Cindy was great and unhesitatingly took my special request for a vegetarian version of the evening special. As always it was fantastic! I also recommend the unique take on creme brulee. Delicious!
Hostess said she had noisy groups coming in so seated us in the charming back bar area which was great. Server was great. Veal meatballs with gnocchi were delicious but near an appetizer portion. I ordered the filet, medium. I got the thin portion size restaurants save for well done requests ( am in the business, so I know) and it was well done.I hate when they do that, like their chefs can't cook a medium steak. Very disappointing. Thin green beans tasted like they were sauteed in a pan previously used to saute fish. Potato mash cake was dry, no flavor. Asked for butter, they brought me some drawn butter. Didn't stay for dessert. They took the filet off the bill.
Great food, quickly served, fantastic service - will defiantly come back
A perfect night out for my wife's birthday, from the valet to the greeting, to the server to the food. Had the mussels and artichokes to start, the shrimp & scallops and eggplant for the main, finished with the cappuccino
The food is consistently good. At times the restaurant can be very noisy and make conversation a little difficult. Some of the servers lack charm. Instead of our waitress saying, "we recommend the (blank)", she used the word "pushing". "We're pushing the crab cakes and we are pushing the risotto tonight" and she hurried us along through our meal. I would go back for the food if I could go at an off time when it wouldn't be so loud and the food server wouldn't rush me to eat it and beat it
My husband and I dined here for a date night and had an amazing experience. The food, the wine, and the server were all great. Finally found some authentic Italian food in Alpharetta!
Their wine list is only by the bottle. We wanted by the glass, so were at the mercy of the waiter. Offended when we got our bills to see we were charged $20 per glass! We never would have selected that wine if he had told us up front! I expected it would be in the $9 - $12 range, based on wine lists at comparable restaurants recently. No wonder he tried so hard to sell us each a second glass!
As always, Vinnie's did not disappoint! They are consistent and the food is always fantastic.
Let me start by saying it had been a horrible week. Car accidents, family members in the hospital, stomach flu, the actual flu... we missed Valentines day and needed a break. We chose the nicest place in town. Our reservation was perfectly set. Valet was wonderful. We sat and were given waters and bread by what seemed to be a team-assistant. We never saw him again.
We then sat there awkwardly for 22 minutes and 30 seconds before I finally got up and asked the hostess for a server. This completely ruined the evening. If there is one thing you cant miss, its being acknowledged.
We kept a smile and never complained. The server was great after this. The food was incredible and the drinks were outstanding.
A manager never visited and there were no apologies given.
I want to try this place again. The food was outstanding. But I am reluctant to revisit a place that made my first experience so awkward and left me feeling so extremely unimportant. You would figure that at-least another team member could have noticed us? Or a manager could have visited for an explanation.
Cindy was a great server - knowledgable and efficient. Great lunch.
Great food and service - went there for my daughter's bday and we had a great time. Nice and quiet on a Sunday evening.
I took my lady to Vinny's for our Valentine's dinner this year. It was a quiet evening and we were one of just a few people there. (we arrived just after they opened on Sunday afternoon)
The host was very pleasant and allowed us our choice of seats. Likely because it wasn't busy yet but still we very much appreciated it.
We both loved our meals. My lady had their Shrimp / Scallop Risotto and I had their Lasagna. One of my tests for any restaurant that has calamari on the menu is to order it. It is my opinion that if a restaurant can make great calamari, chances are they'll do a great job with the rest of their dishes. I was right - and Vinny's did an excellent job - crispy yet tender.
While my lady finished her meal I had to take what was left of mine home. And I even enjoyed that for lunch the next day! LOL - I was nearly full of calamari!
I want to call out my server Mila. She had a beautiful accent and provided incredible servant. She was very attentive without being overly so.
We would definitely recommend Vinny's and intend on returning.
Expertly prepared meal. Excellent wait staff. A bit noisy and tables are a smudge too close together for private conversations but the food is outstanding.
Excellent service. Food was good quality and well prepared.
The menu has changed over the years and had more “non-traditional” tastes for what we were expecting. The service was the worst that we have seen in many years.
My wife and I have been here a couple times for special occasions. Very good food and nice atmosphere. We had an excellent young waiter. Seems to enjoy his job and is both professional and personable.
We celebrated Valentine's Day on 2/13 to avoid the crowds. It was our 51st one together. We picked a lovely place!
Vinny’s is my new favorite restaurant in all of Atlanta metro. The food is great, service is top notch and prices are lower than what you’d expect.
It was very crowded and we had to wait despite having reservations. This is understandable but not once did anyone acknowledge or apologize for the wait.
Food at Vinny's has always been good. Our service started out great than got a little sparse towards the end. But overall a nice night out
Ried, the bartender, and Cindy, our server, were exceptional!
All was great with the experience except for noise. It was different to have a conversation tonight due to ambient noise. Love the restaurant and enjoy the expertly prepared and served food.
Great italian cuisine. Felt like in an American Rome's local
We had to change tables twice. First time, hostess put us next to a large group.
Why do they always do this? Second time, the fourtop next to us were absolutely
screaming. Vinny's is so loud but this was horrible. I was going to leave but the
Waiter found us a bit quieter table in the bar area. Yes,it's better there.
Menu has changed-not for the best. Might be back but not anytime soon.
Food was good but so so loud.
The service was terrific. The waiter saw that my wife and I had our 1-year-old daughter with us and was very understanding. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone that wants a nice environment and great service and most of all, delicious food!
