Mother’s Day Dinner - thank you.
The perfect location for Mother’s Day! Loved patio seating food was delicious.
Doesn't pay to go on a holiday weekend like Mother's Day in most restaurants, and this was no exception. We have been going here for many years, decades even, and this particular evening was pretty ho-hum from the overly excited and fast-talking bar area server making you feel rushed the entire visit to the below-par kitchen fair from the crabcake appetizer to the entrees. Not "bad" mind you, but certainly not up to par for this establishment. We wrote off to Covid re-staffing and hope they will soon be back to their usual splendor.
Always an outstanding experience!!
Great business lunch but would also be a great place for a date! Always good, service is spot on food prepared perfectly!
Business lunch on a Thursday. It was very quiet and not busy. Our server was amazing. He made excellent suggestions and the food did not disappoint. Ended the meal with dessert and cappuccino. It was the cherry on top! I'll certainly be back.
Great service and tasty meal along with a relaxed environment!
Three of us came to town for a few days of shopping. We are from Nashville and Franklin, TN. We looked on Open Table after a long day of shopping and came across Vinnys. We were staying in Alpharetta so the location was close to our hotel. The reviews looked good and the pictures of the restaurant looked nice as well. We were seated at a lovely table by the window. Good social distancing practiced. The waitress was knowledgeable when we asked a few questions regarding the wine and menu choices. The calamari was the best! One of us had the salad with the fried goat cheese which my friend said was absolutely the best salad ever. I had the salad which was a Caesar type which also was delicious and I will order it again. We also had the bread board as an appetizer which was the best bread ever! (We went to the bakery that supplied the bread called Theos Brothers Bakery the next morning and bought multiple loaves to take home). We had the Margherita pizza that we split 3 ways and still had more than enough for all of us. We also split a special entree of soft shell crab and steak. The soft shell crab was delicious but very tiny and the steak was very chewy. We did mention to the waitress that the steak was tough. She offered to get us another one. We said no- just wanted the chef to know. Very shortly after that the manager came over and offered to make us another steak and was apologetic as well. I am from New Orleans and have been involved in restaurants there and am quite aware of how a restaurant should handle a food complaint. The manager coming over was the right way. Typically, a drink or dessert is sent over complimentary- but that again is in New Orleans. My friends and I will definitely come back to Vinnys!
Guys doing work with a saw out back about 20 yards from my work lunch wasn’t ideal but everything else was great.
Our server, Jason, was excellent. He provided great insights regarding menu items, was very attentive to our needs and requests, and had very pleasant approach to his job. The restaurant also acknowledged our birthday celebration with a special dessert on the house to top off a great meal.
As always, amazing food, service and ambience on outdoor patio.
Beautiful restaurant, smelled amazing from my moment we walked in. Great service & delicious food!
Menu was restricted and not as good as usual
Our dinner was delicious. The service was friendly and prompt. We did have to ask for knives and forks. The restaurant was very very noisy. There is nothing to soften the noise which reverberates off of the high ceiling and brick wall. I was very difficult to have a conversation without shouting.
We ate outside and despite being on busy Windward parkway, there was no traffic noise. Food was excellent, fresh baked bread with dipping oil was delightful, service was outstanding, desserts a little small for sharing purposes...overall a great place to dine.
Wonderful diverse menu. Excellent quality I have ample portions. Our server I wish I remembered her name was fantastic.
Everything was excellent the food was great the service was spectacular everyone had a great time
Been going to Vinny’s for almost 20 years. It’s consistently delicious! I’ve basically tried the whole menu and not been disappointed.
We were here for my husband’s birthday. They serve a beautiful dessert plate for special occasions that is such a nice touch.
Our anniversary is in a month, so when this arrived saying Happy Anniversary instead of Happy Birthday, we had a double celebration😊
I will definitely return to this restaurant. The srvice was excellent. The food taste was great. I gave 8t a 4 stars as I think for the price the portion should be bigger. I had the risotto with the seafood. The ambiance is great. The noise was low so it was pleasant to have a conversation.
Too much dressing on salad, entree also swimming in sauce but beef not cooked very well
Filet was excellent for my wife who favored the hickory flavoring. Sides were all good. Lamb was a little tough for the price. Orzo seafood dish was old, but probably good when it was made. Hostess was clueless, server was down to earth, casual and attentive.
Wonderful dining experience. Will absolutely be back!!
We always have a consistent meal at Vinny’s that we all enjoy!
All were very friendly and the food was good. Nice outside eating area. Menu is a bit limited.
Finding places that take outdoor dining reservations is not very easy, so when I stumbled across the opportunity to do so at Vinny's, I decided to take a chance. The food was delicious, the service was attentive but not pushy, and the patio had great atmosphere. None of our group had been here before, so our waiter was great about making recommendations for what we should try. It was totally worth the trek up to Alpharetta; if we lived closer, we would definitely be back very soon!
Food was phenomenal, service was great- chris was very funny and did a great job explaining complicated menu items. Place was beautiful.
Food was outstanding. Very knowledgeable server and very attentive to our needs.
Gnocchi and veal meatballs were excellent. Crab Cakes are famous.
Hostess and waiter were excellent, but that is where it ended. Drinks were awful, except for the wine, one meal came out completely burnt and the rest were so loaded with truffle oil that they were just terrible. Cabernet is just a tad more expensive but well worth it. We will absolutely not be back.
The service and food was excellent. The Restaurant manager ensured that I was able to get a table in a quieter part of the restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I have missed Vinny’s during Covid. The food is amazing and the staff is hands down the best in Alpharetta. It was a wonderful night to be back to my favorite place.
Because it is a 45 minute drive from our home, my wife and I had not dined at Vinny’s in 20 years. It was even better than we remembered. We dined outside which was a pleasure. Our server, Shelby, was delightful. The food was delicious. Two of us had the lasagna and two had trout. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It was worth the long drive for us and we plan to return soon.
Food was great although my risotto was quite cool by the time it reached the table.
This was our fist time.
Great food and atmosphere.
Service staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Food was delicious. Service was slow. I understand the computer system went down
Our waitress was outstanding! She was great at describing the meals and filled our water glasses five times. She was not pushy at all and was perfectly attentive! The calamari was fabulous! Caesar salad was delicious. The bread came from Theosophy and you definitely can’t go wrong there. The gnocchi and veal meatball dish was one of the best dishes I have ever had and I am picky about my food. Gnocchi was so tender and was not floating in a ton of sauce but was delicately drizzled on top! The tiramisu was delicious! You will not be disappointed here!
