The food was not the same quality I am accustomed to at Vinny’s
Everything was perfect to celebrate our anniversary. They even gave us a wonderful dessert!!
Been to V several times pre-C. Returned just the other day and was sadly disappointed. The service was subpar and V’s great ambiance/dinner experience was gone....totally missing. The music was very loud. So loud it was hard to have a “table only” limited conversation. We asked them if they wouldn’t mind lowering the volume. Pardon the pun, but our request fell on deaf ears.
I ate here a couple of weeks ago and and it was marvelous! This time, not so good. Nothing was hot, crab cake didn't even seem like it was cooked, salad had onions which were not listed on the menu (they did replace it) and $17 for a Woodford old fashion seems a little high. Bread is good. Overall, disappointing.
Ambiance is always lovely, out of town guest admired it and the noise level is also good.
Always love Derek and Michelle. There are no better!!
The food is alway on point.
Perfect service, perfect food, amazing ambiance!
Great food and great service!! Highly recommend for all occasions.
Had dinner on the patio with a friend. Spacing between tables was very good, patio has good shade by early evening and food and service were very good. Good restaurant to support during these Covid 19 times.
The food was absolutely amazing. I just moved to the area and this will definitely be one of my frequent spots.
Enjoyed our date but the risotto a little too ‘mushy ‘ Our waiter was excellent!!
Excellent meal and service!
Thank you Will for great recommendations. We had the long stemmed artichokes for a starter,so tender and delicious. I had the Gnocchi that were like delicate soft pillows accompanied by veal and pork meatballs so moist and full of flavor. My husband had the roasted Zealand rack of lamb, cooked perfectly and he can't wait to come back and order it again.
All in all, a great experience!
FANCY WORD = PERFUNCTORY. Sorry to report that the service was the very definition of perfunctory. The waitress could care less if we were there or not. Fifteen minutes elapsed before she even took the drink order. No warmth; no concern. Took our order, delivered it, and that's that. Dining out should be an event, not a mere transaction. Disappointed.
Delicious food in a beautiful setting! Highly recommend for a swanky evening or day date/get together!
Perfection! Vinny's has always been special to us. Honestly we went on a Tuesday for our Anniversary and felt like we had a private reservation. We miss seeing and chatting with our servers up close and we understand. Vinny's has taken every precaution- masks for all and our server wore gloves. It's hard for everyone, but go with absolute confidence. Go!
Great Place! The food, the location and the restaurant are excellent!
Great ambience! Fantastic food! Exceptional Service!
Been coming here since I was a kid and it never disappoints. Always amazing.
We have eaten here several times with good results, but the osso buco I had was not good. The meat was fine, but the sauce was almost inedible. We will give them one more chance.
A lovely experience being safe while dining. Dined outside under the trees and the whole experience was perfect.
great service and the food was delicious (as always!) Social distancing was accomplished well and the staff was adequately prepared with masks and gloves and appropriate serving techniques!
The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars to service is that our server was wearing gloves and touched her nose while at our table and not sure if she was changing gloves, washing hands with gloves on or just wearing them to protect her from customers and keeping the same pair on after handling dishes at more than one table?
Will had vast knowledge on different wines and a wonderful selection of nightly specials. Antipasto, primary dish and bread plate with oils were all absolutely amazing!
Always a delight.
A really pleasant experience and I enjoyed all the dishes we tried! Also, a beautiful space.
Always a great experience!
Always love Vinnys. The service is great and the servers are like family and friends. Michelle and Derrick the bartenders are the best in Atlanta.
I normally have the short ribs or a pasta dish, but tried the Lamb Chops . Thinking about going back tomorrow since they were so good.
Just a great place for dinner or to pony up to the bar and have a cocktail and an appetizer.
Menu is too limited for a first class Italian restaurant.
Lighting at our table was severely limited.
The food we did order was tasty!
Trout was great! Good business spot
We always like Vinny's, and go there at least once a month. Food is good and the ambiance is excellent. I think there food selection is above average. Prices for wine are a bit high, but so are most restaurants. Our group has a selection of different entries, and all were well liked. We will go back.
Went here for lunch today and was very disappointed. Resturant was empty while we were there 12 - 1 with just one or two other tables. Service was adequate although waiters were hanging out in the back talking loudly to keep themselves occupied. The calamari was tasty and we enjoyed it. My wife enjoyed her veal and sage ravioli (although when it was served it was ridiculously too hot and she almost burned her mouth), When it cooled she enjoyed it. My chicken parmigiana was the worst I ever had and I sent it back and did not order anything else as it was too late. The chicken should never have left the kitchen. It was over cooked and actually looked burnt. Then there was a tomato sauce on top that was too acidic and I am wondering why it was even there as the whole thing was placed on top of fettucini (which was gloppy and starchy and gluey) and then a white alfredo sauce poured over the top of the fettuccini and the chicken with old tomato sauce. BLECK. It was also so friggin hot I swear they cooked this over the weekend and microwaved it. I even asked the manager “was this microwaved?” He did not answer and simply said “it looks like you got an over cooked piece” which I replied “This dish should never have left the kitchen”. They were vey polite and removed it from the bill. This is not the first disappointment we have had at Vinny’s and I frankly don’t want to come back. My cooking at home is far superior to what these restaurants are serving us today and it should not be tolerated. I guess this explains why they were empty for lunch.
Food was okay, seemed to be a little bland or too much. Very hit and miss! Service was very rushed! Felt like we were being pushed out the door! Definitely not what I would expect, when spending a nice night out!
Outstanding service with amazing food.
This was a Valentine date and it couldn't had been any better. It has been a long time since I have been to Vinny's and was great the first time, so I counted on it being great for this special event. It was perfect. The advance request for a champaign toast was well timed after we arrived. The service was amazing, as it they must have watched how we were progressing with the meal because they always came at the appropriate timing. Thank you Vinny's for making my special date the best.
We had a very romantic Valentine’s Day dinner that was delicious and the service was excellent. We will be back!
