Lovely atmosphere with Frank Sinatra playing in the background, delicious food and a stellar waitress - Paula! Definitely worth checking out!
Vinny Vanucchi’s had Wonderful food and atmosphere
Service was good and our food was great. A bit pricey I feel for pasta. Would highly recommend it!
Very good service and food!
Vinny’s never disappoints. A restaurant you can count on for good service and great food. A wonderful choice for family, special occasions or romantic dining.
Great spot to dine. Waitress was very helpful and food terrific.
Our server seemed annoyed that we asked for the gluten free menu. We ordered two different entrées. The sauce on both was oily and very spicy....it was not fantastic and seemed pretty pricey for what was less food than the regular menu. The restaurant is very cool, and we enjoyed the cage dining we were sat at. It was semi private and fun. Our server was very outgoing and friendly to the tables around us, but not to us. We'll try again sometime.
This place is one of my favorites! I’ve been a Vinny fan for over 30 years. The food and service is consistently outstanding.
The seafood fettuccine Alfredo only had 3 little shrimps and 3 little scallops and the crabmeat was almost non existent. It was essentially a big bowl of noodles. My tiramisu came out frozen and the cake part was very dry.
Food tasted good but wasn’t hot. Warm but not hot. My dining companion’s pasta was even a little room temperature. We both had a pasta dish with cream sauce. The calamari was really good as was the garlic bread. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. We sat in the back and had great view of the sun going down. It was a little drafty though. Probably be a while before I would try it again at this prices
Food was wonderful and I appreciated the safety measures they had in place during the pandemic.
Loves the full menu , many choices, felt both fancy and authentic . Nice building atmosphere. Food tasted great. That said, for the prices, we were disappointed to have paper napkins instead of clothe and things like salad served out of a plastic bowl. Just felt the furnishings/table service were cheap and didnt match the rest of the experience.
The ambiance was very nice, but unfortunately for the price, the food wasn’t great. My meal wasn’t hot, and was smothered in sauce. I couldn’t even finish it all. We got bruschetta for an appetizer, but the mozzarella was incredibly thick and rubbery.
We likely will not be back.
This is our go-to for a nice Italian meal in Dubuque. Diverse menu with many pasta choices and preparations. Great wine menu. Excellent staff. Social distancing and masks for staff in place. Comfortable and satisfying meal. Don't skip the tirimisu.
The food was delicious!! We were there to celebrate our granddaughters birthday and they went out of their way to make her feel special. Great service!!
The restaurant itself is gorgeous. The hostess was friendly. The bar is beautiful. Then there’s the food. Perhaps the pizza is good? But the salad looked good with spring greens and romaine, but I couldn’t taste the dressing. The garlic bread tasted like cardboard covered in oil. The calamari was bland. The marinara was basic. The fettuccine seafood was pasty and the broccoli/shrimp seafood with pasta and a creamy red sauce tasted like slop on pasta flavored with a bucket of black pepper. Prices were quite high for the quality but serving size was good if you could stomach the food.
The decor is rustic old Italy. Soft music is playing in background. The menu features many Italian dishes. The wine list is affordable luxury. Great tasting food and very clean.
Very comfortable with the precautions in place. Food and Tony’s service were excellent! A great first night out in months!
Very good service, very nice ambience. A very pleasant evening, well worth the money.
Great food and great service! Wonderful to be able to make reservations on my phone!
Food was excellent, as always. The garlic bread is the best!
Food was great and service was great. Would recommend to everyone!
Steak was great! Baked seafood pasta didn't have much flavor.
It was great experience. I was celebrating my and my sister’s birthday and had a great meal with family.
Went to the Galena location a few months back (amazing food and service) and we were expecting the same level of service and food on this trip to Dubuque.
Unfortunately, this experience was a total flop. The Chicken Parm was extremely overcooked, very dry and rubbery (ate four bites and gave up). My husband’s highlight was his dinner salad, his Chicken Marsala was essentially overcooked, thick brown gravy on pasta.
Service was fine, felt rushed to order immediately upon sitting down (again, not at all like the service in Galena).
Unfortunately, we won’t be back. ☹️
We were literally the only ones in the restaurant when we got there and she sat us at a table of 4. We had 5, two being 6.5 ft tall, so it was a little uncomfortable for them, and I would've really liked to have been a little further away and not sitting right on top of them with Covid and by the cold window..... I think their tables should be bigger so people can spread out a little more. There was only one table bigger than 4 seats and we weren't at it....
The Alfredo had a strange consistency and the fried ravioli was too spicy.
Service was great and the food was really good. My favorite was the atmosphere and decor. Great place, go if you have the opportunity!!
I have always been to the Galena location, which I love. Tried Dubuque for the first time Sunday. Service was ok. Salad and garlic bread was great as always but entree was not the best. Hardly anyone else was there, waitress was friendly enough but feel customer service could have been better. It was my husband's first time going and I had really hyped it up and was so excited for him to try Vinnie's and he was not impressed. I would probably try that location again though. Could have just been an off night.
Great place food and service is always excellent
Ambiance is comfortable. Food is great. Service was excellent. Enjoyable meal.
Great food and service. They took very good care of us, including following COVID recommendations very well. Will definitely be back next time we are in Dubuque.
Food was fabulous. Baked Penne, Brushetta, Garlic Bread. Service was bad, server just seemed inexperienced. Left empty plates on table. Would go back, hopefully have a better server.
Very rushed service and even worse food
Veal Marsala by far the worst I ever had... sauce was horrible!
The garlic bread is so delicious! Very nice place and friendly service! The hostess did a great job of keeping social distancing in the lobby and the tables are spaced well! Great experience all around!
Excellent experience. The food and service were great. Will definitely recommend.
Great food. Better service
Always Delicious! So truly appreciate the precautions being utilized in these crazy times...Just wish you were closer to the Quad Cities!
After all the reviews I expected more. Veal was okay but chicken dish left a lot to be desired
Great atmosphere and tables were well spaced. Host was friendly and seated us quickly. Our server could have been more attentive. Had to ask multiple times for waters and ask another server for silverware as ours rarely checked on us. She was nice though, just not very attentive. Food was delicious as usual. The garlic bread is amazing!
