Good food. Nice ambiance
My husband and I love going there. The food and service are always excellent!
Up class steakhouse always good service great place was clean
We have been visiting Vinnie's since 1996; this visit could be characterized as unremarkable. We were seated at the intersection of what seemed the busiest corner in the place despite the fact there was a dozen empty table in the restaurant. We tried to position ourselves away from the aisles. Dinner for my wife and I was flounder. When it arrived I thought that I must have ordered from the kids menu. The portions were thin, small, and overcooked. My wife's potato's were not hot (we were not charged for them). Our waiter and waitress appeared to abandon us so a manager (I think) took over and provided service the best he could. The bill was incorrect; they charged us for alcohol which we didn't have or didn't order. That was corrected. Even the personal touch is gone from Vinnie's. We have gone here for birthday's and anniversaries for the past several years. This visit for our 39th anniversary was no exception and I advised the desk when I made the reservation. In the past the waiter would acknowledge the occasion, this personal touch is gone.
Great as always!
Good service and good food. Staff was very friendly and seemed sincere in our enjoying the meal.
We tried Vinnies for our anniversary. There was nothing negative really. The service was good and the food was good. But there was nothing wow about it. Compared to other restaurants in the area with similar price points, it just wasn’t as worth the money.
Fine dining and service.
No disappointments, several great surprises.
Quality food and good service. Nice atmosphere for special occasions.
Chicken Marsala was delicious! And you can't beat half price wine night!
Love this place. It is our “go to” restaurant for a special meal and enjoyable evening.
Hadn't been for umpteen years, wanted a good big steak, decided to give it a shot. Came away very disappointed. Nothing special at all about the steaks or baked potato (a baked potato is a baked potato, I guess). Caesar salad was totally forgettable---small serving of not very appealing lettuce, bland dressing, dry unsavory croutons. My $50 ribeye was nearly as tender as what I can get @ Harris-Teeter & cook on my grill. And on and on.
Server was very pleasant but service (arrival of drinks, platings, etc.) was absolutely ponderous. I like leisurely; I don't like a glacial pace. Clear? For 100 bucks per, I expected more.
Food was Great! Very expensive. Lots of parking. Friendly service.
Great food, wonderful way to celebrate anniversary.
Vinnie's consistently delivers with great food and service. As always Larry did a wonderful job with service.
Exceptional meal and Walt gave us excellent service
My husband and I used to eat at Vinnie's once a week, but they raised their prices and cheapened their recipes. If presentation is important at a restaurant that charges exorbitant fees, Vinnie's falls way short. Last night, I ordered a salad and an appetizer. I drank water. My husband had a glass of wine and fried shrimp. The bill was almost ninety dollars. The spinach salad was nothing to write home about and his fried shrimp looked like something from a fast food restaurant.
I still love the ambience, but it will be a long time before we eat there again.
Great food and atmosphere
It didn't start of well. There was no hostess at entry and three serves past us without greeting us. That left a bad vibe for us. Other than that this was a nice night out for my friends birthday dinner. The food is really good and the hot crab dip is a favorite. Our waiter Stephen was the best and very knowledgeable about the restaurant and menu. He also made our night awesome.
Great Food, great service, great people! It was a fantastic evening, as always!
Perfect as always!
We came to Vinnies to celebrate my wife's birthday. As always, the food was delicious, the service was great, and we all had a great time. The only downside was a band that was playing out in the courtyard by a different bar. We were near the window in the front room and it was rather loud. I know Vinnie's has no control over that, but if the band is playing and you want a quiet dinner, ask for the main or side rooms, not the front room. Overall, though, always a pleasure.
I took my wife for her birthday. We were both pleased with the food. I liked my bone-in fillet but next time I would go with the fillet without the bone. Salads were crisp and fresh and but would liked to have cheese on the salad. Key lime pie was perfect as well as the service. I'll be back.
I’ve had better prime rib. Cheryl’s petite filet was sensational as were the hash browns and Caesar salad . I’ll have the filet next time!
It was, as always, a great experience… Both food and service were excellent… Absolutely no complaints!
Great steaks and seafood as well as sides and desserts. Staff is professional and attentive. Highly recommend Vinnies!
Had a great evening, service and food were excellent.
Very enjoyable evening. Great staff, food, ambience. Nice and comfortable evening.
The food was great, the wait staff was great. Besides the belligerent women that was half naked in a bathrobe in the bar, it was a nice place to eat..
Fantastic as always. We come to Vinnie's for almost every special occasion, it is my favorite restaurant in Raleigh.
Vinnie's is where we think to go for a special dinner - birthday, Valentine's Day, or just when we want excellent food and service. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious! A bit pricey - but worth it!
Great Chicken And Steak. Wonderful potatoes. Service and drinks were excellent.
The main course and dessert were very good. Our dinner ended well.
The waiter bragged on the bisque and I had that. I think it was the worse bisque I ever had, to be fair he also said they were almost out and perhaps mine was a bit scorched or something. I can't really pin down what was bad about it. Generally bisque is a favorite soup for me.
The salad, steak, stuffed potato, trigger fish, and creme brulee were excellent.
Very good food, a quiet atmosphere in the back dining room. We have frequented Vinnie's for many years off and on and it has changed over the years slightly. Miss the old huge salads!
Excellent steaks. Mine was underdone and they corrected very quickly and efficiently.
Unfortunately, I can not recommend. Young hostess needs work on customer service and how to properly interact with guests. Service was VERY slow, and the restaurant was almost empty. Food was fair. Crab cake appetizer was good. My special of the day: triggerfish was extremely dry and salty. I couldn’t finish it. Steaks seemed OK to the other diners. Our waitress was very pleasant. I don’t think the glacial pace of the service was her fault. No offer of anything free for a birthday, when Angus Barn brings you a cake. Will not be back.
Steak was charred I ordered medium rare came out charred and tough I sent it back only to have the manager bring the same steak back to the table She explained to me that all their steaks were cooked on a flat top , shocker I will not return Do yourself a favor and dine at Rays , Sullivan’s , Ruth cris or even Fleming’s
Awesome as usual.
Another excellent meal at Vinnie’s!
Guys night out - food was great and we had a nice time
