The food was great, the wait staff was great. Besides the belligerent women that was half naked in a bathrobe in the bar, it was a nice place to eat..

Vinnie's is where we think to go for a special dinner - birthday, Valentine's Day, or just when we want excellent food and service. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious! A bit pricey - but worth it!

The main course and dessert were very good. Our dinner ended well.

The waiter bragged on the bisque and I had that. I think it was the worse bisque I ever had, to be fair he also said they were almost out and perhaps mine was a bit scorched or something. I can't really pin down what was bad about it. Generally bisque is a favorite soup for me.

The salad, steak, stuffed potato, trigger fish, and creme brulee were excellent.

Excellent steaks. Mine was underdone and they corrected very quickly and efficiently.

Unfortunately, I can not recommend. Young hostess needs work on customer service and how to properly interact with guests. Service was VERY slow, and the restaurant was almost empty. Food was fair. Crab cake appetizer was good. My special of the day: triggerfish was extremely dry and salty. I couldn’t finish it. Steaks seemed OK to the other diners. Our waitress was very pleasant. I don’t think the glacial pace of the service was her fault. No offer of anything free for a birthday, when Angus Barn brings you a cake. Will not be back.

Steak was charred I ordered medium rare came out charred and tough I sent it back only to have the manager bring the same steak back to the table She explained to me that all their steaks were cooked on a flat top , shocker I will not return Do yourself a favor and dine at Rays , Sullivan’s , Ruth cris or even Fleming’s

Vinnies never disappoints. The food is amazing, but it’s such a laid back atmosphere that you always feel welcome. Best filet I’ve ever had.. EVER.

This was my husband's first visit; I was a return patron.
When we got there were told we wouldn't be seated until 15 minutes after our reservation. I understand this happens so it's all good. It was hard to get the bartender's attention to get a drink and then hard to get his attention to pay once our table was ready. The salad was forgotten. There was gristle in my filet (I didn't tell my husband). I love the place but I may have to do some convincing to get my husband to return. Thanks for asking!

Food was great as usual. We waited 30 minutes before we got our first drink and had to flag down someone to wait on us AND restaurant was half-full. Very discouraging. Service has gone down since Craig Souza sold restaurant.

The decor is a little dated, with double-height dark-stained wainscoting . The floor is carpeted and dingy. I didn't care for the 50's music. The food was delicious however. I had the medium filet and it was cooked to perfection.

Tipico posto americano. Il cibo e molto buono. Se il tavolo non e ancora pronto potere atendere al bar sorseggiando qualche drink. Ce la comodita di parcheggio davanti. Sicuramente tornero.

Vinnies was delicious! It's not close to our neighborhood and there are other steak houses closer to midtown, but we will be back for a quiet dinner again. We made early reservations with another couple. Neither of us had been there in years. We were impressed with the food quality, the wine, beef and the side dishes, attentive staff (but not overly attentive), the warmth and classic ambiance. Not flashy, not loud, (even though there is a bar in another room), just great food and conversation. There are private dining rooms we checked out for office Christmas parties.

This is one our favorite restaurants! We have a very small list of high end restaurants for special occasions and those evening we just want to treat ourselves...this is in the upper tier of that list!

We always go here for special occasions. The food and wines are excellent. The bread for the table is TERRIBLE and can't figure out why they can't do this better. Love the atmosphere and that they acknowledged our special occasions.

We had a fantastic experience. It was my boyfriend's birthday and we had driven down from Virginia Beach to spend the night in Raleigh. I actually had another reservation at a different restaurant, but last minute changed my mind out of worry; restaurants have great reviews sometimes but we can have terrible experiences. But I'm very glad I decided on Vinnie's. The food was delicious! It was true perfection, and our server was attentive and lively. I wish I could remember his name, he really took care of our table. The only complaint I would have is that I made a reservation and our table wasn't ready, which is important considering we drove down just for the night and don't have all that much time to wait. A couple that walked in before us had stated that they were early and made a reservation for half an hour after us, yet they got seated about 5 minutes before us anyway. We were waiting past our reservation time and we had to actually walk up and ask them if they were ready yet. I still liked the table we got, in the corner and private. I definitely will come back next time I am in the area.
