As always, Vineland is welcoming. Arriving at the beginning of evening service, we met Chef Justin who greeted us. Beautiful presentation of every course, along with a complimentary amuse bouche made us feel pampered and special. Just what I like!
It was fantastic. We were there 15 years ago and it was every bit as wonderful as we remembered. We won’t wait so long to go back next time. Maybe we will make it an annual event.
Another great meal and wine pairing. Chose the chefs tasting menu with reserve wine pairing. My compliments to the chef, sommelier and the serving staff. A must for anyone visiting the Niagara area.
Awesome mix of flavours. Every bite was a discovery. 3-course lunch menu for fix price was reasonable and a good idea to discover this winery.
I have been to vineland estates a handful of times. They have never disappointed me there. Service and food are top shelf, however be prepared to pay for that privilege.
Everything was stellar! Pairings were fantastic. We had the spring lunch menu and found it very satisfying.
My daughter is vegan and I wasn’t aware when I booked that only the Spring Fling menu was available with no vegan options. The kitchen responded by making her a stunning, beautifully presented, vegan salad that made our Easter celebration extra special. We were all very impressed. Very much appreciated. The sticky toffee pudding was also extra yummy.
Dinner with son and daughter-in-law
We came for the Spring Fling. The food was very creative and delicious. I had the rainbow trout with the mussels and orange and fennel salad ( it was absolutely delicious). My husband had the Korean short rib, burger w/frites ( he absolutely enjoyed it). Our server Ethan, was very friendly, nice and very polite. Would absolutely recommend this restaurant. We're always treated like family. We have been wine club members for 5 years and will continue do so.
Always one of the finest meals of any restaurant we dine at. Chef Justin Downs and his staff are first class from when you enter the restaurant until you leave. The menu is always creative, using fresh local ingredients with flavours that give your taste buds a real treat. The service staff is on top of all your needs without suffocating you. An Amazing Food Experience!!!
Everything was amazing - the food, the service, the restaurant, and of course the wine. Highly recommended.
Delicious, rich food. Went well with the estate wine. Would go again and would recommend.
Party of 3 - had a lovely meal with great scenery. The room was a bit cool but by the end of the meal was warmer. Food good, some of the calamari was hot some not so much but still declicious. Will definitely recommend and come back and looking forward to patio season
Fantastic meal in a great location - a 5 star experience start to finish.
Disappointed in lack of choices on the menu. Food was good, but didn’t deliver the value we were expecting. Dessert was best part of the meal. Bad sign. Service was very attentive & prompt.
Optimally balanced palate with superb pairings and colourful presentation on cherrywood planks are basic achievements here. This restaurant ascends another level into the varied dare say "perfect" food textures (and contrasts) within each dish, in addition to colour, scent and of course taste! Briefly, the beef cuts like butter, fish is crusty on the outside then melts like a creme brulee. Selected vegetables look like radishes and beets but taste like apples and plums with loads of sweetness and barely detectable bitterness. Could go on but truly a high level sensory experience for distinguished foodies! Kudos team!
Truly a wonderful night at Vineland for Valentines Day. A delicious 5 course menu with each dish better than the last. Service was impeccable and wine pairings were spot on.
We had a lovely Valentines Day lunch in a very pleasant setting. The steak was a tiny bit overseasoned and the frites could have used more salt (or salt cellar on the table), but nothing major. If I had one criticism, it would be the sorbet. Although it was a pleasant refresher in the mouth, if I hadn't ordered peach, I wouldn't have been able to tell you what the flavour was.
The service was beyond reproach - very attentive without being intrusive - from the time we arrived to the time we left. Kudos to the staff! The music was a little loud but possibly would have been less noticeable if we'd been there at a peak time.
Over all, it was a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning again.
Chef Justin and his team are amazing!
Simply the best!! We travel extensively and we try many restaurants and Vineland beats them all!
Great service anytime you go, You can't find the food experience anywhere in Canada...
As it always has been, this is a relaxing venue with great views across vineyards and Lake Ontario, low key attentive service, very good food well plated and the opportunity to pair and taste previous vintages. A reliable high quality go to in a region of many options.
Great food. Every bite was an explosion of flavours. Our server was outstanding
we went there on new years eve and after a very long wait at the border we got to restaurant a few minutes late, but it was no big deal. We were warmly greeted and the server really did go over much about the special menu. She what was on there but kind of just asked if we were ready to order. The food was wonderful the entree was a little on the small side, but it worked. Yes we will be back..
The occasion was New Year's Eve. The five course meal with wine pairings was A Feast for the eyes and the palate! The service was impeccable ( thanks to Karissa and her coworkers). Chef Justin was at his best tonight. This is our fifth New Year's Eve in a row sharing the evening with out-of-town friends at Vineland Estates Winery restaurant. We have never been disappointed. I am adding some pics from our evening. There were two choices for each course. The wines were very well suited to each dish.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner; was a very quiet night being December 30th! Chef’s menu was delicious. Will be back!!
This is one of our favorite restaurants and winery when we head to Vineland from the States. We always have a fantastic meal and friendly service. The patio is wonderful and the view is beautiful
Wonderful resturant!! Chef Justin is a magician!!! Best Steak Frits ever!!!
The food presentation was top notch, service was great. Would highly recommend Vineland Estates, will definitely be back.
The tastes of the dishes never disappoints. Vineland’s chef seems to always have an innovative meal they carefully pair with their wines. What has been a bit of a let down has been the ever increasing charges. When we first went to Vineland a small breadbasket was part of the welcoming. Now there is a $7 charge for about half a loaf of bread to accompany a meal your paying over $39 for. I hope they reconsider that because they are coming across as just like some Toronto money grab.
Truly great Food and service .Andy was great .. Wow the chief was awesome
Always a top pick of ours for a nice weekend lunch or dinner. This restaurant never disappoints. Amazing food, wonderful service, beautiful scenery and always wonderful wine pairings.
We found the menus creative and interesting. The waiter took the trouble to warn us of high sodium in the duck confit, and that was true.
I suggest that the soup should be served a bit hot though not boiling hot. But our soup arrived barely lukewarm. And do you have make an additional charge for bread? That doesn’t seem reasonable!
We mostly liked your wine although I found your Cabernet Franc to be a bit too sweet.
First time here, will be back for sure!! Lovely setting, overlooking vineyard. Wonderful service, food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend :-)
We've eaten here several times and have never been disappointed! It is our go to spot in Niagara for a romantic dinner/evening.
Excellent service even my husband and I would like to share the tasting menu. Extra credit came when they decomposed the dessert for us to share with beautiful presentation.
I really enjoyed everything except the duck which was very salty. The presentation was beautiful and we enjoyed our wine. Great ambiance.
Have eaten here before and really enjoyed it. Summertime, outdoors is amazing - incredible view - but it turns out cold, rainy nights indoors in November are great also. All four of our group had the chef's tasting menu, with wine pairings, and enjoyed it immensely. One of the best meals I've had in Niagara and my friends call me a "Toronto Foodie" (for whatever that's worth).
More exclusive menu options, but the times we've eaten there were memorable and satisfying. Not for the faint of wallet, but the fairly priced five course option was a decadent blend of flavour from a wide array of sources. Consider that, while browsing the substantial wine list or local beer options and it all makes for an excellent experience,...
