Vineland Estates Winery Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We found the menus creative and interesting. The waiter took the trouble to warn us of high sodium in the duck confit, and that was true.
I suggest that the soup should be served a bit hot though not boiling hot. But our soup arrived barely lukewarm. And do you have make an additional charge for bread? That doesn’t seem reasonable!
We mostly liked your wine although I found your Cabernet Franc to be a bit too sweet.
Have eaten here before and really enjoyed it. Summertime, outdoors is amazing - incredible view - but it turns out cold, rainy nights indoors in November are great also. All four of our group had the chef's tasting menu, with wine pairings, and enjoyed it immensely. One of the best meals I've had in Niagara and my friends call me a "Toronto Foodie" (for whatever that's worth).
More exclusive menu options, but the times we've eaten there were memorable and satisfying. Not for the faint of wallet, but the fairly priced five course option was a decadent blend of flavour from a wide array of sources. Consider that, while browsing the substantial wine list or local beer options and it all makes for an excellent experience,...
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and couldn't have chosen a better place!! Carly, our server was knowledgeable, nice and professional. The food was out of this world delicious and the wine to go with it was heavenly. Thank you so much for this amazing experience
Had not had dinner at Vineland for over a year and Was a little surprised that they have gotten rid of their a' la carte menu, but was also pleasantly surprised in the end. I had the confit duck leg which was absolutely delicious. All in all it was a lovely Sunday afternoon lunch.
The food was excellent, lots of flavour, great presentation and good portion sizes. The duck confit was amazing. My husband had Venison and it was the best he has had. Our server was delightful.
I was a little disappointed with the atmosphere inside the restaurant. It was very open and bare with no ambience. I was hoping the patio was open because it was a beautiful warm fall evening and the patio is spectacular with an amazing view but we were late in the season.
Not as good / nice as I remembered. All 3 of us did not like ambiance at all (out for friend's birthday). Were only a few tables at 7pm-- lighting too bright for evening dinner and loud rock music -- not conducive to fine dining (and prices one pays). Unsophisticated servers, again not what one expects for fine dining. Expensive but good food. Probably would not go back for dinner, maybe try for lunch when can sit outside.
Our party of five had had an excellent winery tour before we came to the restaurant for dinner.
The food was delicious and notable for interesting combinations of ingredients in the various
dishes we ordered. Our table gave us a lovely view of the vineyard and the fact that the weather
was glorious certainly added to our enjoyment. Our only (minor) criticism was the choice of
raucous background music which seemed eccentric for an accompaniment to such a fine meal.
The service was prompt, efficient and the serving staff were uniformly pleasant. All in all a
delightful and memorable dining experience
This was our third visit. Food and location has always been good. However they sat my party of six in the same room with a party of at least 15 very noisy adults. They should have been given a private room. Because of this unwise decision of management and despite how good the food is, we will never go back for lunch at the restaurant. This is a shame because Vineland is our favorite winery and we became a member too. We will however continue to buy wine at the winery.
A favourite lunch spot for our annual mini recharge visit to NOTL. A beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards and Lake Ontario. We sit outside, the staff is pleasant and attentive, offer good recommendations and the food is excellent - always a drawing card to a return visit.
This year we particular enjoyed the 2016 Pinot Grigio.
made reservation for 1;30 lunch....got ther and were seated to the right of the reservation desk beside the WASHROOMS. All inside seating was taken ...the waiter and his assistant took our orders and began service .
Filled our water glasses and did not check our water glasses again until asked.
Food delivery was slooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwww Took over two hours and we had two kids under 10. Waiters appologised but no change.
Hard to believe this is normal service after all the time the restaurant has been open
A somewhat disappointing evening. Pacing of meal service was uneven; having mains served just as wine was opened to breathe, and prior to completion of pre-dinner drinks left us with a poor impression of the restaurant. Wines served were enjoyable; ambiance was pleasant as sunset fell. Would consider other winery restaurants before returning here again, anytime soon.
