Chef/Owners Lisa & Terry Harwood opened Vine Street Cafe in 2003. Located on South Ferry Road, just 1.5 miles from the South Ferry. Chef Terry works with area farmers, fishermen & vineyards and features their natural bounty on his seasonal menus. We make everything in house and Lisa's desserts, ice creams and fruit crisps are no exception. Recently, we opened a small market behind the restaurant. This is where you pick up take-out orders while stocking your home pantry. Specialty catering is available along with ready fresh meals such as meatballs, chicken salad, bread, smoked ribs, BBQ Sauce and a selection of artisan pastas. Reservations are highly recommended year round.

Best meal I’ve had in a very long time. We were in the side room overlooking the back, which was beautiful. For some reason, there was a high-pitched beeping noise throughout our dinner, not sure if it was coming from the bar area, but it was a little disruptive.

I had such a relaxing evening dining here. Though it was unexpectedly very busy for a Tuesday night, management and the servers we all doing a great job throughout the night. My server Jen was so polite and sweet and genuinely cared about my experience. Thank you guys!

we were outdoors which is why noise level is low. Outside was nice. Inside very loud ! Salmon entree was too salty Waitress was excellent

We were given a gift card from a friend to the Vine Street Cafe, and were pleased to return - our last visit was several years ago. The meal did not disappoint! The service was prompt and friendly, the entire staff was welcoming, and the entire meal was delicious - crispy calamari, smoked roasted beets in the salad, all fresh and perfectly cooked, with even a birthday candle for my husband in the profiterole. The evening was spectacular!

We had a party of 8 and could not have had more fun at this meal. Service was attentive, while not being intrusive. Recommendations were all made with care on on point. Drinks, apps, mains all exceeded expectations. This is a wonderful find in Shelter Island.
