Vine Restaurant & Bar Ratings and Reviews
Absolutely amazing, when we arrived it looked like any local bar/restaurant, our dates were not impressed. Luckily for us they gave us the private room in the back. The room is amazing and it allows you to enjoy the ambiance of the patrons but gives you the privacy wanted on a special occasion. The left half of the place is more sports bar, the right side is at a fine dining level. Servers and staff are great people and make an extra effort to make you feel genuinely important. The food is top notch, we had the filet mignon, sea bass, and chicken schnitzel as our main dishes. Our starters were the pumpkin ravioli, crab salad, a Brussels sprout dish....everything was to die for. Our wine was recommended by our waitress and it was perfect. GO HERE, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSATISFIED and leave wanting to set the next date to go again.
Everything was amazing! The food was great! The drinks were awesome! But sadly there is no... I repeat no parking! You want to be sure to get there early for your reservation just so you can drive around for 20 minutes to find a parking spot. But in the end it's worth it because everything is so good!
Really enjoyed our meal once we found a great table in the outside garden patio (we preferred not to sit next to a big mirror or right next to wall). Our server gave us just the right amount of attention ... the drinks were very good albeit a little pricey and the food was great. Overall we’d had a great evening and would return.
Living in San Clemente, we actually found this place by accident.
Nick's in San Clemente would not pour our 1998 Caymus Special Selection Magnum because it was already opened. Our son opened to check the cork and the wine. We walked out and went to the Vine, where we had a great meal, and they were happy to pour the Caymus.
This time, we came for our Anniversary and this is the GO-TO place for us in San Clemente. We brought an Arista Pinot Noir, shared the Chicken Schnitzel and the Duck Wings. You cannot go here without ordering the Duck Wings appetizer. Fun place with great workers, attentive yet not overbearing. We cannot wait to go back, especially with our son and wife, to use the "Bar Nook".
Oh my goodness, what a find!! We had a little bit of a wait when we arrived but the hostess took our order for cocktails and delivered them to us. Upon being seated, we were greeted by our server thanking us for waiting (which wasn’t necessary but extremely nice). We started off with the ravioli appetizer, highly recommend it. Our entrees were delicious (jidori chicken and Kobe burger). The wine selection is very good, including by the glass. This restaurant is very warm and cozy, it reminds us of being in Napa. We will most definitely be back.
Very good overall. We had a business meeting with spouses and it was really nice. That sat us at the round table for eight with wine all around the areas. We very nice and intimate. The wait staff was fantastic. Food was also very good and good portions. I will definitely go again.
This is our favorite restaurant in town - a true gem to have in the neighborhood. Good cocktails, great food, excellent personal service. Their fish of the day is most often excellent, and there is no restaurant in California who does a better job with (what are normally boring) vegetables served with the main course.
Dinner was delicious. We split a salad, there was no split charge and the kitchen actually split it. Nice! We brought our own bottle of wine which the waiter graciously opened and poured. No attitude! Our entrees were extremely generous portions. I took part of mine home :-)
Our Son recommended this gem and find it so rare when a restaurant actually does everything right. The gracious welcome when we arrived, our server Lauren’s knowledge and timing were impeccable, then the amazing flavors in the marinades and sauces were simply the Best of Bursts in your Mouth! I dare say that I never forget when this happens so I will enjoy these tastes over and over, bringing so many smiles!
A Thousand Thank You’s to each of you for making this evening so exceptional!
My only negative Comment is the ceiling has open beans and you can see the Conduit, romex wiring and plumbing in the ceiling which takes away from the overall ambience of the dining experience.
If the owners would just drywall in the ceiling and make it more attractive I would give it five stars all the way through our dining experience the food service and everything else has always been excellent this is my only negative comment is about the ceiling
