Vincitori Fine Italian Cuisine
Thirty years ago a friend mentioned he found this restaurant with food as good as his Italian grandmother's. We have been going there every since. The food and service are outstanding. There are several servers who have been there many years. They offer discounts to veterans and the chef actively supports my American Legion.
What's not to like. :-)
Great food & service! We’ve been here many times over the years.
Always great food and service.
Food as always was fabulous. Keeps us coming back again & again. Unfortunately, service was terrible which was surprising considering we arrived early, about 5:30 for a 5:45 reservation. Place was only about half full. Hostess seemed angry or bored and waiter was attentive at first, then he took on additional two larger tables of 8 and we became an afterthought for him. At one point I caught his eye and he seemed startled, hustled into the kitchen and our food arrived.....was like he forgot he was serving us..... very disappointing
We always enjoy our time at Vicitori's! The food is glorious and the service is perfect. Thanks so much for making all of our special events and everyday dinners stellar!
The food was fabulous and so was the entertainment in the bar area with Randy McCallister! Everyone in the bar area was fun as well! Was a great time! Sam was a great server !
Phil was a hoot. A good time was had by all!!
Super nice folks that work and frequent there!
I made my reservations for a late night and we were the only one there. Quiet and really great food. It's our second time there.
Had a great dinner! Three of us all had Chicken PIccata & it was very tasty. The others also enjoyed their entrees. Service was also good.
The food and service are fantastic! I’m never disappointed when I dine here
We enjoy dining at Vincitori. The wait staff is friendly and very efficient. One of our favorite places to dine.
Food was pretty good but not worth the hefty price tag. The waitstaff was horrible and the "live music" was a joke.
My wife asked about gluten free options 2 times then her her food came with regular pasta. Said it would be really quick exchange 20 minutes later it came said it would be comped but then couldn’t because we had a local flavor discount. Food was ok at best!!!
We enjoy the traditional Southern Italian dishes served by friendly waiters.
Water was a bit forgetful, ordered rum and coke with a lime, no lime in the drink, he did go back after we reminded him. We ordered Lasagna , which they only offer with cheese, so we asked if we could get a side of meat sauce, the water forgot that as well. We each ordered an entree and asked if they would split them (2) for us, told us they couldn't do that. It was a week night and they were not busy. I would hope they would work harder to accommodate their customers.
The food is always good. If it's busy, the service slows and the noise level rises, but still about the best place to eat in Westmont.
This is our second time dining at Vincitori. We had a lovely evening and the food was delicious. I had the petite fillet mignon and it was so tender and cooked perfectly. My husband had salmon over angel hair pasta with a vodka sauce and he said it was delicious as well.
Have been there many times and the drinks and always great. The grilled calamari on flashed spinach is the best!
Food is always good at Vincitori. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our dinner: my daughter had the salmon salad and really ate all up. My wife had the eggplant, vegetarian pasta with goat cheese and pine nuts; so good she wouldn't let me try it! I had the Vincitori pasta: pork, sausage, ground beef in a tomato sauce. Rock solid. Bread was tasty, just wish they offered larger portions: had to almost immediately get seconds and wish they left the parmessan cheese on the table as they did with the olive oil so we could help ourselves. Nevertheless a delicious dinner.
Marco is a great server! Always on top of whatever is needed, very focused. Thank you!
Really good Italian food and very generous portions.
Terrible service. Our waiter wanted to do the bare minimum. We waited extra long for every service and then it seemed like he wanted to get us out quicky. We had to ask the bus boy for a desert menu and then when we wanted to order desert, he almost gave us our check. I do not recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere wa's great but the noise level was intense. A singer was performing just prior to our leaving and if I didn't see him I would have never known they had a singer.
Great place...easy going and delicious! Load guy at the bar drinking and talking baseball. Could here him all thru the place!
I love Vincitori's and have been going for years. I used to eat in bistro's in Chicago and retired. I missed them but found Vincitori's in Westmont. The red meat sauce ( gravy) reminds me of my Italian Mother In Laws, which is very hard to find anywhere. According to the reviews it's loud and busy...doesn't that say something? Yes, it's popular and Bob is generous with his quality and quantity of food and great "consistent" staff. I was there on St. Pat's Day ( not the Sat crazy day ) and it was peaceful and it was the best corned beef and cabbage I ever had! The portion was huge across all the tables who ordered it.
I had to bring home half my plate for another full meal at home ( and I weigh 240 lbs )...
So keep up the great work here in Westmont Bob...we love your place. ( He gives a generous discount to all VETs )
My first time here as I just moved to Chicago. It was packed...a st. Patrick’s Day buffet in an Italian restaurant. Who would have thought?
We had reservations but were seated right next to the buffet line. It was loud because of the crowd, and a guy ‘performing’ in the lounge made things worse.
The prices reflect upscale Italian food. I had the veal Parmesan which was good but smothered in sauce. Spaghetti was hidden in there somewhere. Salads okay but just thrown together. Someone at the table had lasagna and really liked
Bottom line, it is just okay. Prices should be adjusted to reflect
The casual atmosphere.
Food is NEVER a disappointment! Always so delicious and great service. We eat here very often and never get tired of it!!
Crowded tables, very loud and hard to hear my spouse. I had high expectations but the restaurant made cavatelli was average. I had expected more dramatic plates and authentic food.
We chose this restaurant based on the high ratings and did not expect that an Italian restaurant would have a special St. Patrick's Day buffet so probably not the best timing for a first visit. Despite having an Open Table reservation the hostess didn't seem to know where to place us and the only two tables offered were both right next to the buffet tables. We waited nearly ten minutes before anyone stopped by our table and didn't receive bread or water for nearly another ten minutes. The bread basket was placed on the table, but we were not given any plates so I had to get up and help myself to plates for our table.
My wife ordered a vodka martini stirred and the waiter seemed to have never heard of such a thing. Apparently the bartender hadn't either as the waiter came back ten minutes later with a shaker and a spoon and stirred it at the table. He remembered he had forgotten the lemon peel garnish, but never did come back with it.
Food was average - not too hard to screw up Italian food and wait staff were inattentive so we will not make the effort to return.
We had great service and delicious food. We especially loved the flash fried spinach with our calamari. Serving sizes were very generous- enough to share with everyone and still take home leftovers! We enjoyed our visit with the owner, bartender and our server. Can't wait to go back again.
Food was fantastic and service just as good. Highly recommend Vincitori's for any occasion.
Great local restaurant with great deals! I can’t wait to return.
Vincitori is always a great experience - Food, Service and Overall Experience!
Our server, Pacco, was great! The food was delicious! It is Restaurant week in Westmont so the main entress and wine were 25% off so that made the price fantastic. I tried the lamb bolongese and it was delicious and my husband had the chicken picante. We enjoyed a very nice bottle of wine.
Excellent food and service. My husband and I enjoyed our dinner
Always delicious food and great service. Been going to Vincitori's for years and it never disappoints!
My husband and I had a lovely dinner at Vincitori this week. The food and the ambiance were great. And, our waiter was very nice and helpful. However, the noise level from two groups that say near our table were very loud, often to the point that we were unable to carry on a comfortable conversation. Their demeanor was such that they behaved as though they were in a sports bar. It’s a bit frustrating to go out for a nice dinner and not be able to carry on your own conversation.
The service was great. Always had water on the table. It was Tuesday so the value was wonderful. My 3 friends said their food was terrific. My food was good. The chicken breasts were small and pasta was not ample. The taste was very good. The bread was warm, crisp and very good. Yes, we will return.
Food was really good and reasonably prized! We will be back!
Wintery drafts made our table a little chilly. Otherwise the meal was delicious, especially the specials, and service was great.
Chicken limone with asparagus was OUTSTANDING! My husband got the gnocchi which he loved as well. Great food, great service! Love it, as always!
