Vincitori Fine Italian Cuisine
Great food. Owner should not drink at the bar. Says too many inappropriate things.. great Italian food though.
I'm so pleased to have found this spot. A cozy space with a family, neighborhood feel. My food was great, and they had gluten free noodles options for my friend. The first table was too loud... Right under the speaker but they moved us graciously. Oh and the desert portions are huge.. Very sharable.
We'll be back
The table for two was too small to hold bread plate and appetizer and glasses. Made it awkward to eat.
Loved the food and the service was great.
The restaurant was too noisy therefor it was difficult to have a conversation. I have enjoyed the restaurant a number of times but our meal was hurried.
The food we each ordered was very good. They need to find a good Italian bread, though. The noise level was way too high. We had a very hard time hearing the conversation.
We rec’d a Local Flavor gift certificate for this restaurant from a friend as we are new to the neighborhood. We ordered wine, 2 salads and a pizza for dinner. Although there were no restrictions on the certificate other than to state it must be utilized for a dine-in dinner (which we did). However, they refused to allow us to utilize the gift certificate as we ordered a pizza and it is their “restaurant policy” not to allow utilization of gift certificates for pizza dinners. They tried talking us into ordering individual dinners but we really had a taste for pizza so we declined. We will request a trade-in from Local Flavor for another restaurant and let our gift giver know not to purchase for anyone else. We will never return to Vincitori.
We live in the neighborhood and had not been here for a number of years and now I remember why.
It was a busy Friday night and our server was doing his best but they were understaffed. The wedge salad was the best part of the meal with good flavors and an Italian flair. The bread was nearly inedible. The stuffed artichoke had a good flavor but way too much breading. The cavatelli was thick and doughy and the vodka sauce did not seem like vodka sauce and did not help the pasta. Cheese ravioli as expected but nothing special. I think you would do better elsewhere
we have been going to Vincitori about 4 years now and every time we go we have not been disappointed.
Wonderful neighborhood restaurant in downtown Westmont. Food and drink choices outstanding and service is really great! Give it a try!
Ordered the chicken marsala. It had very little flavor and was very watery probably due to all the pasta.
The menu at Vincitori never disappoints. Nice variety of the specials. Service was very knowledgeable and prompt. Our server was great to mention a shrimp dish had a little heat and offered to have it toned down if necessary. The Shrimp Vincitori was excellent with the right amount of heat!!
It was good, but not outstanding. There are other, better, Italian restaurants within a few miles of Vincitori. I'm not trashing the place, just that I would go elsewhere in the future. But my father loves this restaurant, so it is all in the preferences, I guess.
Good food, dependable service. Nice Italian restaurant in the neighborhood.
Great food and entertainment in the bar area! Had to ask for our waiter a couple of times which was disappointing.
The waiter forgot to put our soup order in and we had to remind him. I wish it was forgotten b/c the Baked French onion soup was terrible. Don’t know what that overused spice was in the soup but if I closed my eyes I would have thought it was a buono beef sandwich in soup. Bad food, bad service! Stay home.
We have dined here over the years but our last experience wasn't very good. We had to ask for bread, then for sugar for iced tea, then had to ask for cream for the coffee. We feel that over the years the prices have gotten too high for the food. Salad or soup is extra making this restaurant much more expensive that other Italian restaurants from Lisle to Oakbrook.
Food is good...typical Italian plus some nice specials. Service is good but not great. It was a busy Saturday night but the kitchen seemed to be moving extra slow. I've been here many times and have always enjoyed it but this time the noise level in the restaurant really detracted from the experience. We were with some out of town colleagues and conversation was really tough. I'd pick another place on the weekend.
Food was excellent! Started out in the bar area. Love the entertainment
Very nice place w good Italian food and nice atmosphere.
My group ordered the Eggplant and Goat Cheese pasta dish, lasagna, Vincitori Rigatoni, and a lemon chicken special. All was very good, service was attentive, and atmosphere was clean and comfortable.
We always have a very good meal at Vincitori and this past Saturday night was no exception. Thought they would have music as they usually do but not this particular Saturday night but still good.
food was well prepared , served in a timely manner -
Always great food and service.
Always outstanding ! Food is delicious, fresh and consiststant. Service is very good and staff is personable.
Just ok. Fair price point. Food ok but not something we’d go back for. Ordered an appetizer and it was finally ready right after our entree was served.
We were celebrating my son's birthday on 9/12 and he received an email for a few entree. My son can't have dairy so the chef substituted olive oil instead of the cream sauce on his Shrimp/pasta entree. The food is always good. Server was very attentive and he was always pleasant. Vincitori is our place to go when we want Italian cuisine.
Soup was horrible and we said it to owner but he doesn’t seem to care. I was thinking maybe he would take it off from the check since I didn’t even eat it but he still charged me. We asked for a milk instead of soda pop for our 4 year old and they said they can’t substitute. We will never go back again. And we said on the reservation it was our Anniversary. They didn’t even acknowledge it. Service was bad too. Waiter never stop by to ask if we’re ok.
Disappointing experience. First, the service was awful; our server had an attitude like he didn’t want to be there and couldn’t have cared less about us. Took at least 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by him, and just went downhill from there. Our burrata appetizer was very good as usual, but my braciole, which was described as beef tenderloin stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella cheese, came out a dry, over cooked mess with nothing “stuffed” inside. This is the second time Vincitori has been a sub par experience because of slow service and disappointing food - not sure we’ll be back. There’s plenty of other great options for Italian food in the area.
Baked clams were large but rubbery. Salads were warm and overly dressed. Pasta dishes were decent.
Good food. Good prices. Good wine. Good service. I recommend trying their giant stuffed meatball appetizer.
Always happy with the excellent food and the friendly staff!
Awesome as usual! I have moved to Texas and it was great to come back for a visit & find that it was the same awesome place i remembered!
Food was quite mediocre from bread to salad to veal dish. Our server was good and attentive. Probably won’t go back and would not recommend it to anyone who wants fine food.
Vincitori seems like a classic Italian restaurant. Perhaps we need to be regulars to appreciate its charm. The host checked us in and walked off towards a table - it took us a few minutes to realize that he meant for us to be following him, but there was no, "welcome to Vincitori, follow me please..."
The dish I ordered they had run out of, and again, no introduction to the menu, letting us know what might not be available. We got water with no offer of drinks until the 2nd visit to the table, and I believe it was the 4th visit to the table before any offer was made to take our order. It could have been out of an intent for a relaxed pace, which is fine, but at least a little unusual.
The menu options are strait-ahead classic Italian. The preparations were fine, but not stellar.
They had a singer doing entertainment, which was fun, and the place is lively but it was easy to talk at our table.
Westmont has some nice restaurants nearby - we'll be more likely to attend those in the future.
We always enjoy this restaurant but this past Saturday night it was especially good. We ordered our usual Chicken Vesuvio and Pork Chop Vesuvio and they were excellent. Also no music that night and not that crowded due to the Westmont Fest so very enjoyable.
Food was not up to what we had become accustomed to at this restaurant several times before. Will not be going back....
The food is always excellent here.
Oftentimes when we decide to go out to dinner we end up at Vincitori- it’s great food, great service and very dependable. We love it!
Food was good. However our waiter was very unhappy that we weren’t hungry enough to order appetizers or salad or dessert. I still left a good tip on our bill, but This was very off putting.
We took our daughter-in-law out for dinner to celebrate a special occasion with her! Amber and the others were fantastic and the "crooner" (Friday night) was fun too! GREAT ITALIAN FOOD!!!!
