Vincitori Fine Italian Cuisine
Dinner: Tuesday - Thursday: 4:00pm - 9:30pm, Friday & Saturday: 4:00pm - 10:30pm, Sunday: 4:00pm - 9::00pm
Good food. Good prices. Good wine. Good service. I recommend trying their giant stuffed meatball appetizer.
Always happy with the excellent food and the friendly staff!
Awesome as usual! I have moved to Texas and it was great to come back for a visit & find that it was the same awesome place i remembered!
Food was quite mediocre from bread to salad to veal dish. Our server was good and attentive. Probably won’t go back and would not recommend it to anyone who wants fine food.
Vincitori seems like a classic Italian restaurant. Perhaps we need to be regulars to appreciate its charm. The host checked us in and walked off towards a table - it took us a few minutes to realize that he meant for us to be following him, but there was no, "welcome to Vincitori, follow me please..."
The dish I ordered they had run out of, and again, no introduction to the menu, letting us know what might not be available. We got water with no offer of drinks until the 2nd visit to the table, and I believe it was the 4th visit to the table before any offer was made to take our order. It could have been out of an intent for a relaxed pace, which is fine, but at least a little unusual.
The menu options are strait-ahead classic Italian. The preparations were fine, but not stellar.
They had a singer doing entertainment, which was fun, and the place is lively but it was easy to talk at our table.
Westmont has some nice restaurants nearby - we'll be more likely to attend those in the future.
We always enjoy this restaurant but this past Saturday night it was especially good. We ordered our usual Chicken Vesuvio and Pork Chop Vesuvio and they were excellent. Also no music that night and not that crowded due to the Westmont Fest so very enjoyable.
Food was not up to what we had become accustomed to at this restaurant several times before. Will not be going back....
The food is always excellent here.
Oftentimes when we decide to go out to dinner we end up at Vincitori- it’s great food, great service and very dependable. We love it!
Food was good. However our waiter was very unhappy that we weren’t hungry enough to order appetizers or salad or dessert. I still left a good tip on our bill, but This was very off putting.
We took our daughter-in-law out for dinner to celebrate a special occasion with her! Amber and the others were fantastic and the "crooner" (Friday night) was fun too! GREAT ITALIAN FOOD!!!!
We absolutely love Vincitori, however, we will never again sit in their main dining room. The loudness was so bad my boyfriend and I couldn’t hear each other to talk. I think our poor waiter was having a hard time as well.
Any reservation we make going forward will be for the bar room.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was terrific. Service wasn't as attentive as you would expect. Overall, because of the cuisine we will be back.
Wonderful food and service. Never disappointed here.
The food was quite good and homemade. The bar drinks were very high priced, while the meals were reasonably priced.
Great Italian cuisine and service
Wine price and pour was a value
Hadn't been here in quite a while. Everything was very well prepared and tasty. Our server was accommodating. I would definitely come back and try some of the other dishes! Especially the onion soup and chicken Florentine. I had the meatballs which were awesome and the tomato, mozzarella and basil salad which was fresh and tasty!! Wine list was good.
Loud restaurant, live entertainment, good food but limited selections, we had an outstanding waiter
Our food was delicious. My husband and I both had the
Lobster and mushroom fettuccine Alfredo. Everything we have ordered in the past has been excellent. We love this neighborhood Italian restaurant that is so close to home.
Although we have been to Vincitori many, many times, this was our first time trying the pizza. YUM!!!!! Great flavor - nice blend of cheeses used, crispy crust. Tasted great cold the next day as well!
Vincitori's has become a regular for us. The food is absolutely outstanding and the service is excellent. About 15 years ago a colleague told me about Vincitori's saying it was the only Italian restaurant whose food was as good as his grandmother's. While I don't have an Italian grandmother to make a similar comparison, they serve the best Italian food I have ever had and we've been coming back ever since.
Excellent food at a lightly elegant location. Service is very personable.
I though the service was okay and took forever to get our food! The calamari wasn’t fresh either!
I loved it! My girlfriend and I plus our 7 month old baby went there on Mother's Day and it was absolutely great. It was her 1st Mother's Day and she was happy with everything, the atmosphere, the customer service, the wine selection and menu selection. This was our second time there and we even had the same server (Antonio) who remembered me and my girlfriend and who even shared a few laughs and chuckles with us. My girlfriend had stepped out after I had finished paying the tabs to put our daughter in her car seat and our server Antonio was going to give her a flower for her 1st Mother's Day that were by the front in unfortunately since she stepped out it was given to me and he chuckled and said "well happy Mother's Day sir" all in all, I will always go back there and refer people to that restaurant.
Food was great as usual. In one word, service sucked. Over 30 min from when sat down to get a drink. Buss boy refilled water carafe twice while we waited. Even though it was a birthday dinner for my grand daughter, we left and went elsewhere for ice cream. Had trouble getting check to allow us to leave. Have crossed them our favorite list. Never again
Our server was excellent very personable and bubbly she(Amber) was very helpful in our food and beverage choices, being our first time there it was an excellent evening out wonderful experience, thank you
Vincitori is one of our favorite local restaurants with excellent food and service!
Food was excellent but the restaurant was extremely NOISY—couldn’t hear anybody at our table talking!
We enjoyed the food, and it was a comfortable atmosphere. Lots of convenient parking, too. Plus there was live music (a singer) that was not too loud for conversation.
One of the noisiest restaurants I have ever been to.
Perfect night for my mother’s birthday
Excellent food and service!! My favorite Westmont restaurant.
Great tasting food, amiable server, great atmosphere...all in all Vincitori
Went with my wife and in laws to celebrate their anniversary. Had a great Saturday night! Food was off the chain and great local music.
There has to be 6-8 Italian restaurants within Downers Grove, Westmont, and Western Springs. I feel this is the best of the lot. Solid red sauce type Italian food, but some Tuscan twists. Though they have live entertainment in the bar most weekends, we came on a ‘quiet’ Saturday and never felt rushed. Will be back.
Always great food and great service. Get the meatball appetizer! A nice, no rush casual dining experience. Always feel welcomed.
A favorite of ours! As usual good food, nice variety of items on menu! Service a little slow as waiter appeared to have a big group in second room. Like to go early as noise level escalates a little too much when dining room is full.
Always an awesome experience, chef Bob and his staff never disappoint!
We were very pleased with everything except for being cramped into a very small booth for out party of 4.
Paco was wonderful! Genuine!! He made our evening Perfect!! Thank you so much !!
